First deposit was Jan 31st, 2023 for the drain. still after 5.5 months nothing had happened. Getting alarmed, i asked where was the astroturf, since its not here in my yard. He said it had come in and was at SiteOne in Bixby, and even gave me the address!I went there twice, and verified there was no turf,nor was any waiting to arrive .JUNE 1st i asked for receipts for all materials he had purchased so far.Of course,none transpired. after waiting 5.5 months, we finally asked for our deposit $ back. which we got. At the final meeting, he had the audacity to ask for over 1K for blah blah. Of course we said "NO, there's nothing in the contract about that and doesn't he know whats in his own contract?" Then, he actually said this, "dont u think i deseve it for all the work i did?" Stupidly we read and trusted google reviews. I'm old enough to kown its a red flag when a company cant provide real life references. As i think back noiw, maybe he needed the 14thousand $$ to get by for 5 months and never really was going to do anything. Lesson learned??? Ask for old fashioned references and CHECK THEM!!!

Here is the actual timeline proving otherwise. 7/29 - Discussed the project with John, the owner. Requested a custom lattice fence to keep my dad, who has dementia, safe in the yard. John assured me his team could complete the fence design, level semi-steep spots, build paver patios, and re-sod the yard without issue. 8/4 - Paid half upfront. John promised to start on 8/8 and finish by 8/11 at the latest. 8/11 - Materials were dumped haphazardly in my yard on what was supposed to be the completion date. John texted that it would "look identical to the picture." 8/14 - John requested another payment and finally discussed the patio. 8/15 - Requested final payment, promising completion by 8/18. Last day I saw John in person. Now for the timeline showing I "never said nothing not once": 8/21 - Texted John about major issues: crooked posts, huge gaps in the lattice, lattice size reduced from 3/4" to 1/2", and cheap material substituted for quality wood. 8/25 & 8/26 - Left voicemails for John with no response. 8/27 - I walked out and talked to the fence builders because random 2x4's had been added to the fence. I asked why they had done this, and they said John had told them to add them to get rid of the gaps. I explained I didn't approve of this and wanted the design we originally discussed. They spat out a bunch of random excuses about how it wasn't possible, etc. I asked why they hadn't been out for several days, and they said John had put them on another assignment. I texted John and then called him. He confirmed via the call (that he finally bothered answering) that he didn't blame me for being upset, that this wasn't what we discussed, and that he'd be right over. He never showed up 9/2 & 9/3 - Texted and called John while no one worked on the project. 9/4 - Called John from my husband's phone; he picked up. I confronted him about the unfinished pavers, cheap fence, dangerous dirt slope left for my dad, and ghosting us. He blamed us for not providing fence color (which was never requested nor needed yet). I gave him the color and requested completion by 9/6; he promised it would be done. 9/5 - Spoke with manager Jesse, who revealed John stopped him from finishing the pavers and refused to do the sod we paid for. 9/8 - I texted John 9/9 - John sent a new team out to work on the fence. The man, Moses, walked it and said it was terrible, and no wonder we were upset. He walked through what needed to be done. Said he needed to buy more material and never came back 9/11 - Texted and called John. He texted back claiming we "never said nothing not once." 9/12 - I texted and asked John to complete the work he agreed to. He said he'd gone "above and beyond to try to please me". We left it that I'd be getting an attorney In September 2026, I won a legal judgment against John and recovered all my money. The work was completely unacceptable: posts were not properly buried or cemented, allowing my husband to pull them up by hand, and my 10-year-old daughter broke the flimsy lattice with a single kick. The entire fence would have collapsed in the first major storm. John lied, cheated us out of significant money, and ignored our design requests and communication. I have texts, voicemails, photos, quotes from other contractors, and a court order proving how terrible this service was. Save your time and money--do not hire this con company.

I would consider them technical artists in the area of landscape design…read more I recently bought a house on the side of the hill with serious drainage problems that cause leakage into the back wall. The previous owner had warned me about it, but didn't know how it could be fixed. Doug and Loren came out, took careful measurements and came up with a plan which preserved the trees, which were near the house. They put in a French drain with a removable grate on the concrete patio as well as 6 separate drains leading from the house. Doug and Loren also gave me advice about how a guttering system could lead into the drains.The crew worked rapidly and took only two days from start to finish. Now my house is actually dry around the base, something which I didn't think was possible. They did a great job and at a very reasonable price. Yeah to Doug & Loren! PS They also won one of the top landscaping awards in the area.
