Now we don't just buy meat and eggs in our house, we call Norm. Norm is the kindest and most giving man and his entire family reflects his tenderhearted nature. His son, Blake, helps run his farm stand at the Kalamazoo Market while Norm and his wife, Karen, run the market in Lawton. They raise their own chickens, pigs, and cows and the quality of their meat and eggs cannot be duplicated. We have not purchased meat or eggs from the supermarket in years. Their shop is well worth the drive from Kalamazoo (about 42 minutes from downtown) or Blake is usually willing to meet you around town to fill orders for convenience. I have found over the years that we actually pay less buying our locally raised meat from Norm and we are happier. We get better quality eggs and better tasting chicken and pork. We know exactly where our beef is coming from and how it is raised.
