Reasonable prices for food and drinks as well. It can get REALLY busy though, so be patient. Especially busy in the morning on the weekend. It was fine during the daytime during the weekday. I bought some merch as well as food, including chocolate covered blueberries and a cute dog collar for my new puppy! (See picture). I'm not sure how I've never been to Bowerman's On 8th until recently. This cafe/bakery is a cute spot right downtown. I had fun looking around at all the things to buy -- lots of spreads, coffee, merch, blueberry things, kitchen items, stickers, etc. I loved that they had big bags of frozen blueberries for sale - next time I'll bring my cooler! I was heading to dinner so I didn't get any food, but their menu features sweet and savory breakfast options, lunch sandwiches, bowls and salads, soups, even dinner options like a burger. Everything sounded great so I'd love to come back for lunch. The pastry case was calling me, so I got one blueberry donut and a blueberry lemon donut to take home. They were fresh and lightly glazed. The lemon was my favorite. There is a seating area and this looks like a really nice place to enjoy an afternoon. I will hopefully be back soon! read more

Wonderful food, people and atmosphere... we loved everything! The lady at the counter was super sweet & helpful. They were extremely busy, but we still easily found a table and our food came out quickly. The French toast was amazing... syrup isn't even necessary with the blueberry compote and I couldn't stop nibbling on the candied pecans. The bacon was thick and delicious - generous portions with everything. We wanted to try one of their unique specialty lattes, but unfortunately their espresso machine was down and being worked on. Super cute, kinda modern country decor, lotsa seating, bright and inviting. Fun little shop at the front with plenty of goods at the counter if you don't have time to sit down and stay. I've never been in when they aren't busy, but I still feel like our food comes out in a reasonable time. The food here is incredible! It was packed when we arrived, but were able to place our orders quickly and we were served quickly as well. They really handled the crowds well. I had pancakes and also had a blueberry donut for later, which were both perfect. Since it is busy, it can be hard to find seating or access silverware/napkins/etc., and can be pretty loud, but honestly it didn't bother me. As soon as we got to a table, all was good. So thrilled to find this spot - they had vegan donuts which my son was so happy about! With his food allergies it can be hard to find sweet treats he can eat. My other son chose the spinach ricotta hand pie as his treat and he loved it. They got juice and strawberry milk. The person who helped us at the counter was great -even ran to the back to check and make sure the donuts were safe for my son. This is such a wonderful, blueberry filled, shop and restaurant. They hahe more blueberry themed things that you could imagine and everything i tried today tasted delicious. It usually is very busy in here and can get crowded so i'd recommend going after 4pm because it seems to die down then. The employees are so kind and accommodating, i ordered an iced blueberry latte and received a hot drink, they made me a new one right away and let me keep the hot drink to give to my friend. Stopped in here before heading home. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's good to get there early- as we were wrapping up it was getting packed for Sunday brunch. We got the quiche and country hash. Both were quite good! The blueberry preserves were the best I've ever had!! A couple glass of their fresh juice washed it all down nicely. read more

Stopped here for a weekday lunch. My husband had a bowl of the White Chicken Chili and the Caprese Grilled Cheese. He enjoyed the soup and the sandwich, but the servings were larger than he had anticipated. Half of the Caprese sandwich was lunch the next day. I had the Blueberry BBQ and it also was good and had a huge amount of pulled pork. I also got a second lunch out of half of the sandwich. On the way out, we got a bag of blueberry granola, blueberry dog treats, and a chocolate hazelnut pastry. My dog seemed to like the treats and we liked the granola and pastry. Had a great experience at Bowerman's. They were open relarively late and I was able to sneak in and buy a delicious blueberry margherita pizza. I was skeptical at first, but it was legit delicious. It was covered in a blueberry pesto with mozzarella, and a great crust. Chewy, light, foldable, and had a great taste. While waiting, I picked up a little pumpkin and browsed their selection of products. Hard to not buy everything in the market, ended up with some fresh and frozen pies, some jam, salsa, and honey. Also have tasty donuts. Even though it was close to closing, the staff were polite and very helpful. Its a touristy place with pricing, but I expected that. I'm embracing the fudgy in me, would definitely recommend Bowerman's. read more

It's blueberries galore at Bowerman's on 8th, whether you're looking to grab 'n go or hoping to enjoy a proper meal. I appreciate the many, many offerings, *especially* the blueberry muffins and donuts. These are the five-star offerings worth savoring over and over again (hats off to you, Bowerman's). I've tried the lattes and other bakery items, and they're more middle of the road flavor-wise. I've been told that I need to try the cinnamon roll, and I'll get there (fingers crossed that they're up there with the muffins). Overall, do I recommend popping in? You order up at the counter then choose a table and they bring your food out to you but be sure to grab napkins/silverware before sitting down. I was happy to snag one by the window :) There were a lot of tasty-sounding menu options, but I decided on the "Choose 2" lunch special for $14 and opted for the house salad and caprese sandwich. Both were delicious, I was just disappointed in the one tiny sliver of mozzarella on the sandwich and the very small salad portion. I also got a peach blueberry iced green tea, which was perfectly refreshing. Highly recommend a pit stop here if you're moseying your way through downtown Holland. The blueberry cake donuts can't be beat- and I'm not even a big blueberry cake donut fan. The outside is crispy and inside is fluffy. The cafe and store offers sandwiches, salads, blueberry milkshakes (so good), blueberry cheesecakes, variety of baked goods, frozen pies and blueberries, granola and more. We picked up a few treats to send to family and devoured a shared donut on the sidewalk (they gave tables with umbrellas). It's a bustling atmosphere with a line that moves fairly quickly. read more

Hands down Bowerman's is my favorite spot in downtown Holland!! It's so nice--right on the corner, lots of natural light and comfortable seating. The menu is so full of great choices---mine is the BO8 smash burger! Who would think to put a swipe of blueberry jalapeño jam on a burger. I'm not saying my favorite in Holland; that's my all time favorite burger (forgot to take a picture of the burger) ANYWHERE! The other thing I love is their blueberry hibiscus lemonade!! We went to this café on a really busy Saturday. The food came out pretty quickly and everyone enjoyed their lunch. You order at the counter and they give you a number and deliver the food, so it's not a full service restaurant. I was very excited to discover in the bakery they offer a gluten-free and vegan mini cherry blueberry pie that matched my dietary restrictions. It is very yummy! I would definitely eat here again as there were other items on the menu that I wanted to try. We enjoyed the power bowl, the chicken salad sandwich, and the blueberry pulled pork sandwich. We were walking by and saw people inside so we stopped in. We went after the Dutch dancers performed. We had dinner prior and now it was time for dessert. Moist cake on this inside, delicate crunch comes from bits of the exterior. Glaze has a clean sweetness, not cloying. Fruit flavors break through brightly. Cute store. Great staff. Ample seating. This place is so stinking cute, I need to come back. This time we were here to shop, but I do need to come back and eat here some time. They have blueberry everything. The blueberry gummies were irresistible, we were on a candy search in Holland this time. Their donuts looked so good. I like all of the foods you can take home from their coolers and fridges. I will need to bring more ice packs next time. I also liked their mimosa offerings. I am a mimosa fan, so this is the place for me. I did love all of the little gifts here to buy. The bakery had a good variety of donuts. All of the looked delicious. I purchased two blueberry cinnamon rolls and a caramel apple hand pie. Seating is basically you sit in a fish aquarium where everyone walking by stares in at you. Ordered a kids pancake meal and asked about size. She said it was huge and that they also have a silver dollar option. With 3 very small pancakes it came out with 3 large plate sized pancakes (I would have only ordered 1 kids meal and they could have shared and we still would have had 2 pancakes left). Such a waste. Sausage was a hard hockey puck and bacon was burn hard and extremely salty. I also ordered a blueberry French toast which was more of a bake than French toast but couldn't cut it it was so hard and again bacon was over cooked and takes like it had been salted. read more

This is a nice restaurant/cafe in the heart of downtown Holland. My wife and I stopped in a few times during Tullip Time and it may have been busy but lines moved quick. The food is delicious and fresh - we enjoyed the chicken salad croissant, chicken club, salted chocolate chip cookie, and blue lemon cookie. This is the second time I have been here. This time, I got the Power Bowl Lunch. it was definitely filling and contained many different ingredients! I felt like the price was a little bit pricey for the size, but at the end of the day, I still had a bunch of leftovers. Honestly, I am not sure I would get it again, because I did pray for something that was more flavorful and decadent, but I am glad I got it, and I felt very healthy eating it :b In this dish, it has red quinoa, butternut squash, spinach, bell peppers, onions, and other vegetables. It also had a sunny side up egg, and you can add grilled chicken breast for additional charge. The ambience of this restaurant was really nice, it is especially pretty on a sunny day, this place is usually pretty packed, but if you go, during off hours, you will be able to find a seat. And I love how dishes contain some assortment of blueberry stuff (but not the Powerball lunch, which I kind of wish it did). I also love their blueberry cinnamon buns! Their pastries are so good. Wow, every touristy town seems to have a favorite popular bakery, and in Holland it sure appears to be Bowerman's on 8th.  It's blueberries galore here, and it's also very popular and a medium size, clean, and airy eatery.  We dropped in at about 3pm and there was a good sized queue of folks ordering items as well as a fairly occupied dining space.  We picked up a blueberry mini-crisp (small pie) for $7.50, a couple of blueberry donuts ($1.50 each), and a delicious blueberry smoothie with whipped cream ($7.00).  We had the smoothie on the spot but nibbled on the other items hours later in the car.  The blueberry smoothie and crisp were not overly sweet and were delicious, but the donuts were a bit over sweet IMHO.  You'll get quality here but also at touristy prices.  If you're in town and looking for local flavor, you should check 'em out. read more

Blueberry Heaven! I came across this place wandering around downtown Holland and it was such a great find. It was crowded but the staff were cranking it out and the line moved quickly. I got a coffee, blueberry donut, and half a blueberry pie to bring home. The donut was fantastic. The shop is filled with cute goodies like jams and preserves. There's also a section to sit down and eat breakfast, and judging from the images being churned out of the kitchen that looked really good as well. A must visit when in town. read more
