I would give this store ten stars if I could! The entire staff is phenomenal but my go-to girl is Dani. We lost our beloved Chihuahua last year and recently adopted a German Shepherd mix. Talk about a 180!! It has been many, many years since I've had a large dog and Dani always talks me down from the ledge! Also, heads up...After purchasing my baby's first crate at a competitor, I needed to go a size larger and was not looking forward to paying nearly $140 for the next size up. Hollywood feed has the same crate for $41.99!! I will never go to the big box pet store ever again!! Thanks y'all, you're the best!! read more

Had to stop in to get Cash the Ridgeback a new collar this weekend. His brother was in town a few weeks ago and got a new collar from Hollywood Feed and Cash was jealous, so he got one too! To that end, they have a HUGE selection of collars! Not just random collars I can pick up at the local big box pet store either - these are NICE. The gal in the store was super friendly and very informative. She seemed to know what she was talking about when I was searching for the correct size of the collar contraption I was seeking for Mr. Cash. An experience very unlike the big box pet store down the street where the people who work there just look at you in a strange eerie way if you have a question. They carry the brand of dog food my little infection prone Beagle needs to stave off the ear owie she has, so that made me happy! The place is super clean too! That's always appreciated by this doggie mom because the smell of the aforementioned big box pet store makes me cringe! bleh!! Super roomy, you can get around the store in just a few minutes flat (the aisles aren't crowded with old dog beds!). AND .... They welcome pets, if you short leash them. read more

My first experience here at Hollywood feed was everything you could ever want in a shopping experience and more! And every time I come back it just keeps getting better. I first arrived when my niece brought in her new mix breed puppy, Maleficent. We have only had experience with small breed dogs, So we did not know how to care for our sweet Mal in her puppy years. The staff was very warm and extremely friendly, coming from around the cash register to pet and love on her (Not before asking permission of course) We expressed our concerns in caring for a medium to large breed dog and they were extremely helpful. Breaking off a peace of a near by(Expensive) treat and giving it to Mal (Again, asking our permission before doing so) As they guided us around the very clean and well kept store They offered large breed tips and tricks very kindly, not once did they act holier than thou when offering advice or giving information. They even grabbed 3-4 different sample bags of food and stuffed them in our shopping bag free of charge so we could find the food she liked best. Now, every time i'm in need of anything I bring my GSD puppy, Gypsy there. They alert me of sales coming up if I'm ever going to buy anything that will be cheaper later on. They remembered my name and my dogs name only after the second visit. and if they are ever out of stock of something they will call the other stores in the area and check for me if they have the item in stock. They are amazing, anyone who has a pet should at least check them out, you will not be sorry! I'm never going anywhere else for my Gypsy's needs! Also, I would like to point out that I am a college kid, and in no way do I have the money to spend on overpriced luxuries. That said: Hollywood Feed's prices are amazing, and the quality is the best there is. With most of their toys they promise that if your pet doesn't like it, you can exchange it and try again :) and with Collars and Leashes they have a lifetime warranty, if they get chewed or anything like that you can take it in and get another one. read more

I'll admit, I was a doubter in terms of whether or not there was a need for a specialty pet store. The folks at HF, however, changed my mind. Incredibly helpful and friendly - they know what they are talking about and are proud of their products. They also price match! While I've never found anywhere with a lower price than what they offer, it's a great policy to have. Huge selection and the store is clean and well organized. My daughter arrived home from work at 6:30 and realized that she had forgotten to pick up food for her guinea pigs. She had a school project she had to work on so I decided to run up to Hollywood feed for her and arrived seven minutes before the designated closing time and they were already closed, lights off and tills empty. I went in looking for things for my puppy; treats, food, toys etc. and the staff was super helpful! They even gave me a new puppy checklist and pointed out the things they thought best. I had been to Petco and Pet Smart a few times before HF and had no help whatsoever, so it was a more than welcome experience walking into a store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff like Hollywood Feed.
