Lashes and hair done at Hollywood Hair Shiloh

So you're looking for a place to get your lovely locks refreshed with color, extensions, wash, cut, styled or deep conditioned?? This is the place. Many talented stylist under one roof and all are very personable. Bonus-with each wash you get a scalp massage, want more? Get a deep conditioning treatment and you'll get a neck massage. Wanna have some glam lashes you get that done too. Oh feeling like an adult beverage just ask for the menu. This place has everything...even a boutique with fun and unique items to accentuate your originality. Come in and you get a tour. I love this place. Grace is amazing with my hair and Bri makes my lashes luscious.

I highly recommend going to see Brianna Harter!!! She always amazes me with what she can do with my hair! She has helped me color correct from a boxed dye mistake, to going blonder, and my wedding hair/make up! She also gives me the best tips for making my hair look/feel shiny and healthy!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I'm not one to bash on anyone or any company BUT this salon was awful. After being charged almost $300 for someone ruining my hair, I have to say something and save someone from going and getting their hair absolutely ruined. I wanted to keep my original hair color on top due to the fact that I'm not one to keep up on the maintenance of dying my hair and also, all I wanted was a TRIM. Two different girls worked on my hair to "speed up the process." While washing my hair another girl helped. My hair was so tangled that they were literally yanking my hair for 5 minutes just to get the tangles out after taking out the foils. After she washed my hair I just had to go. The damage was already done. I cried with how awful it was once I got in the car. My hair was extremely short. Uneven. And over processed. Save your money and your time.

I followed my amazing stylist (Rachael) here when she moved salons. I was quite skeptical but trusted he'd. When I walked into Hollywood Hair in Shiloh I was so surprised. The whole vibe is there is cool, professional, clean, and modern! And so inviting! Everyone is so sweet and every stylist I've seen working on other clients clearly has so much skill. I enjoy every second there from my greeting, to my consult with my stylist, to the oh so relaxing scalp massage I get when they are shampooing me they also offer me a drink while I wait under the super cool heat lamp thing. If you're unsure where to go in the area this is the place!!

Literally THE BEST hair experience I have ever had. Josh respected my hair wishes and gave me the perfect haircut. All my layers blended beautifully and the shape is flattering. The products used were high quality. My stylist was personable, knowledgeable, and professional.

Got my hair done here a few months ago and loved it! I got a creative color and cut and it looked amazing when it was done! I wasn't sure about it at first, and she assured me I could come back later that week if it didn't grow on me- of course it did though! Can't wait to go back soon!

Thank you Shannon, Grace and Bri (though I missed you today) and all you amazing sylists ! Two years ago I walked in your doors by recommendation of other military spouses and you have never disappointed! You have done simple, fun, sassy, colorful, facials, my makeup for an interview, eyebrows, eyelashes, and the best pampering and spoiling I have found. Thank you for always offering the most amazing customer service, friendly conversations and taking care of my every need. I thank you all and am so blessed to have a place I am confident I will leave better than when I walked in, more ways than just physical beauty @hollywoodhairsalon

On April 2nd I had an appointment with Joshua Sprangler to get a color, cut and style. During my consult I had shown him one photo that I was hoping to replicate, however I changed my mind afterward. He appeared so confident and even excited. So I decided to go a little bolder. I basically wanted a purple/pink ombre style with a slightly shorter style. I was upfront about my use of boxed dyes and he suggested we use a lift. He scared me into this by telling me how he'd literally seen hair fry without the use of the lift. Of course I told him to just do whatever he thought was best. After all I didn't want my hair to fry. I was also upfront about any sensitivities I may have. Specifically keratin treatments. They cause me to break out in a horrible horrible rash. He assured me that we could use other hydrating proteins. Then he got to work. I explained that I wanted my hair a bit shorter, but not too short because it tends to flip outward and it's not a look I like. He assured me that he would cut it just right so that I wouldn't get that outward flip. He ended up cutting it too short and now I have that outward flip. I didn't complain though because my hair did look pretty good. After my first wash I noticed how my hair dried up rather quickly. After the second wash my hair was so... crunchy? And my color turned orange. I frantically messaged Joshua on Instagram asking what to do. His response was basically 'Hey remember that product I tried to sell you that you didn't buy? Yeah you need that!' Then he went on to say how fashion colors need protein to hold onto and since I'm sensitive to keratin there isn't much he could do for me. So why didn't he tell me this during our consult when I first told him I was sensitive to keratin? I was frustrated. It cost me a whopping $300 and now my hair is a mess! I ended up going to another salon to help put moisture back into my hair. While I leave every week looking like myself again, as soon as my har dries it's a hot mess! I'm told it will be like this for a very long time. Thanks to Joshua's rather aggressive approach. The salon did message me after I tagged them in my Instagram review, but who would go back to the place that caused so much damage in the first place? Furthermore, why did it take that long for them to reach out? And their response was even more baffling. They said they know keratin based treatments can be drying, but they can use another combo to help put moisture back into my hair. So despite knowing that this stuff can be drying why would one of their stylists be so pushy with it knowing my hair needs MOISTURE? And again, it causes me to break out in a horrible rash. These guys really need to get on the same page. During my initial review I had said that they must call themselves Hollywood because they give you that star treatment. Now I believe they call themselves Hollywood because you have to be a celebrity in order to afford the many addons they scare you into and then the months of care after the damage they cause. Maybe spend less time baking cookies and offering hand massages and spend more time perfecting your craft. HAIR.

Hollywood Hair is over priced and unprofessional for the mediocre hair color and cut they provided me.

She knew exactly how to…read moredirect the shots based on what I told her I was looking for, and I wish I could have purchased every photo! She is so accepting and open, she made the experience even more than I imagined and pushed me to see the beauty in myself. I got to also enjoy getting my makeup and hair done and felt like a MODEL all day long--the whole experience was nothing less than absolutely fabulous!

My first session with XOXO Alice was in 2018; it was purchased as a wedding gift for my husband. I…read morehad lost 100 pounds over the course of our relationship and was super nervous to have boudoir photos done because of how embarrassed I was by the loose skin that I had all over my body. I imagined options for outfits and poses would be very limited, and I would spend the whole time nervous as heck and hating myself. The super detailed instructions to prepare for the session were the first thing to set my mind at ease. I was glad to know I only had to personally bring SOME of the outfits I wanted to wear but that there was a full wardrobe of varying sizes waiting for me. I was greeted on the morning of the shoot by one of her kitty cats, which immediately made me feel more at ease. The conversation held between myself, Alecia, and the make-up artist that morning to determine the kind of photos we wanted to shoot was eye-opening and very information, though I felt like a shy newbie not having the answer on-hand when I showed up. Alecia used creative methods to get me the best shots possible and made me feel more at ease throughout the course of the day by cracking jokes to make me laugh and just have general conversation about shared interests (specifically pet birds). By the end of the day, I had come to love how my body was portrayed in a way I never knew was possible. The directions she gave throughout the shoot were kind and specific so that she got the exact bodily post and expression that she needed. My husband could not have been happier with the photos, and I will always cherish the self-esteem boost I left with. The second shoot I had was vastly different than my first. It took place in early 2022 while I was still scared witless about catching COVID-19. She had a process in place requiring each client to take a rapid test in their car prior to the session to confirm a negative result. This made me feel much safer considering she was the first person  outside my family and close friends that I would spend a day around maskless since the pandemic began.  Some relevant background information includes something that developed over the course of time since the initial photoshoot: this included the onset of chronic (nearly constant) pain in my neck, shoulders, and upper and lower back that is greatly flared by too much motion of my joints that were weakened by illness and major surgery recovery. I was nervous as all get-out to reach out to Alecia to see if I could request a session (via one of her model-calls on her Facebook page) thinking that I would be too hard to work with due to my physical limitations. Remembering how much I had to move or bend during the first session, I thought it would be impossible to have a similar experience again. My weak and painful body had driven me to hatred and depression because my body had all but given up on me. I had also put on a teensy bit of weight due to my inability to exercise. Alecia assured me that she could work with me to show me that my body wasn't to be hated and was confident that she could use feedback given by myself during the session to ensure she didn't cause an excess of pain. She ended up discussing my changing life situation while makeup and hair were being handled. Not only did she make me feel like a "normal" person regardless of my illnesses and pain, she made sure I knew that she saw me as no less of a woman or model. She did a lot of moving and shifting to accommodate my decreased abilities of motion and took my inability to stand for long periods of count all into ability when choosing the outfits and poses. We even made a sort of silly game out of taking water breaks since I am required to drink far more water than most people; she was sure to take a water break whenever I did and made sure I ate when I needed to. I was so shocked by the resulting images and felt like she helped me along the first step of accepting my new disability by taking myself for how I am and not just hating my own existence. I know this may seem like a little much to come out of a boudoir photography session, but she has a magical way of seeing everyone she photographs the way they need to be and deserve to be seen. I am already saving up for my next photo shoot! The first one was for my significant other, but all additional ones are purely for me!
