I was surprised at the addition of the props with the wax figurines, it made it so much more fun to go to the museum. Some of the wax figurines were really close to the appearance of the person represented and a few not so much. I would grab the coupon book and buy the all access pass to save on the other things you can go see. My adult sons favorite was the Outbreak Zombie part and I chose the mirrors. We both did the wax museum and the castle of chaos 5D theater. We did the western one. I could think of a few additions to the museum and I added them in the feedback but overall a good afternoon. read more

This place was a lot of fun. Not only do they have a cool wax exhibit but they also have a castle with 3 immersive themes. Beware though the zombie room is a little scary so maybe not the best for little kids. The mirror maze and interactive ride were a lot of fun. We stopped at the Hollywood Wax Museum on a whim, and honestly, we kind of regretted it for the price point. Tickets were around $32 per person, which felt a bit steep considering the overall condition of the facility. The wax figures themselves were neat to see -- several were impressively realistic -- but many showed noticeable wear or small issues that took away from the experience. The building and displays in general felt a little run down and could really use some updates. If you're a big fan of wax museums or have kids who are excited to see the figures, it might still be worth a stop. Is it expensive? Yes. You can try your luck at finding a deal/discount (as we did) and it will still be expensive. Is it worth it? That depends. If the people in your group are the kind that get into the spirit of things, using the provided props to pose and take a million fun pictures with the wax figures, you end up with an extremely memorable experience (and all of those fun photos to boot). Of course, if you're in a group of people where you feel self-conscious, or you are embarrassed in front of the dozen or more strangers ping-ponging around the same area as you, you might not take those fun pictures (We saw a couple of those people. They walked around quietly, just looking or taking pics of the wax figures without posing with them, and they probably wrote a negative review afterwards.) So choose wisely. For us it was awesome, perhaps even a core memory for the kids. read more

I think it's cool that some of the staged sets have props that allow you to maximize your interaction. It was an interesting museum but many of the wax figures were not very lifelike and some of them I could not identify without looking at the sign or getting a clue from the clothing or the backdrop. Some really hit the mark but I'd say most of them did not. If you've been to Madame Tussaud's wax museum, this one pales in comparison. read more

Well it was a 4th of July weekend and my friends wife mentioned about this wax museum it was fun I do recommend spending $40 for the two exhibits because the 2nd building was a walk through horror and adventure. 4 out of 5 stars because some of the celebrity wax people did not look real like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. I like they had Dwayne Johnson The other building has a maze of mirrors and the zombie walk through for like a haunted house for Halloween the last one is a ride similar which is why you need to get the $40 all pass versus $31admisson other pricey that's why 4 stars read more

This place is soooooooooo overpriced Wax museum will take you maybe 1/2 to go through, with most of them being either bad or celebrities your kids won't know from the 50-80's. With a few exceptions. Worth about $35 for our party of 5 not the $220 that we were charged. That price did include 1 3D VR game in the castle next door, which would be the only thing I'd recommend here. The carnival 3D shooter game was pretty cool. The zombie walk thru experience was kind of dumb with only 1 poor guy in costume running from one area to the next to jump out & scare you. This entire place needed several more workers to move these games along instead we waited for each experience because only 2 girls were in the building to run 4 experiences & take photos & check people in. My boyfriend and I randomly stopped by the wax museum while visiting TN for my birthday weekend. This was a pleasant surprise addition to our trip. We had SO MUCH FUN! It was so cool to walk through the museum and see all the celebrities up close and personal. It's a pretty extensive museum too. We spent about an hour or hour and a half in there lol. Our family had so much fun interacting with the wax figures and spent almost 2 hours here. The facility was well maintained and the sets with the statues were inviting guests to pose and interact, using available props. We enjoyed our experience and found it surprising on the actual size comparisons of some of the celebrities represented here. It certainly was worth the visit and was one of the many highlights of our trip. We had many great laughs and took lots of photos. The gift shop offers photos to purchase of you family's initial pose with King Kong upon entering. The price for the photos were some of the most reasonably priced amusement photos in the area at approximately $30ish for 3 larger photograph sheets. I've been to A LOT of wax museums and this is not one of the better ones. It's still nice but very small compared to the ones I've been to. A lot of the figures look great but some.. not so much. I much prefer Madame Tussauds but Pigeon Forge only has the Hollywood one. Nashville has Madame Tussauds. I do enjoy the fact this place has props to put on while "meeting" the celebrities. It was okay, nothing more nothing less. I personally wouldn't check it out again but if your in the area, looking for something to do, this is a decent place! read more

Hollywood wax museum is a wax museum featuring stars of current and pats Hollywood and movie fame located in a popular tourist strip of pigeon forge Tennessee. Hollywood wax museum can be purchased as its own separate event but is usually bundled up with a 4 way attraction event with 7d theatre ride "castle of chaos", Hannah' mirror maze and the haunted house called "outbreak". The wax museum is in its own exterior building and at the rear of the parking lot is a second exterior building that is a castle. Inside the castle you will find the other 3 attractions. After visiting the Gatlinburg/Sevierville/pigeon forge areas I do feel this 4 attraction pass is the best bundled tourist attraction in all 3 towns. The exterior itself here will reel you in. Featuring a massive King Kong figure in the top and its own Hollywood version of Mount Rushmore on the side exterior. This is a building that will be a fun photo op without even entering the premise. Upon walking in you grab your tickets and take a pre attraction photo i front of. A smaller scale King Kong and then you are free to roam the two story wax museum. The whole attraction maybe takes 30 Min to walk through but has a bunch of celebs and very cool props. I actually wondered to myself if the growing popularity of selfie museums would hurt the wax industry. However, this place has lots of cool props and photo ops to counter those type of establishments. Our favorite area was probably the horror movie area. My girls as you can probably tell from the photos had a lot of fun staging and posing for the photos with Hollywood's biggest slasher stars. Overall I was skeptical on This place. The exterior of the building made this attraction very appealing to my kids. But I have to say it was good fun and great memories were made. Also as alluded to the 4 attraction bundle is the best bang for your buck tourist attractions we came across. All 4 attractions took us just under two hours to do. My son wanted to come here so we stopped by. We bought the ticket's for all four attractions for 12 year old and up 39.99 and 11 or younger it's 19.99 for all attractions. The wax museum was fun some of the displays have similar clothing or hats to throw on so you can take pictures. It was a half that looked similar and the other half that don't even look alike. Also before you go in they take a picture of your group and they try to sell you the photo at the end for 40 bucks. read more

This museum is very neat! I went with my wife and wow it's almost weird how real the sculptures look! Very cool with snippets about personal achievements of all of the stars. Highly recommend! We visited on July 4, 2020, so the review is a little late. Earlier in the day we have driven passed the building and the parking lot was jammed packed and the line to get in was enormous, so we waited. Towards the end of the day after our dinner show we stopped in. No waiting as were the only group of people wanting to check it out. At first, I didn't really want to go in, long day and I was beat. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised with the wax statues. All very well done and with two levels there was plenty to see. I would definitely recommend others to see the museum. read more

Came here with my 4 girls on vacation, ages 10,8,6 and 5. They had so much fun taking pictures with people even if they didn't know them! We went early on a morning and I was glad I did if this place was busy it would be annoying it's narrow. We paid for the all day pass and we did the mirror maze which took us maybe 5 minutes. Fun but was not worth the money. I also was unaware they without the photo package you can't take pictures with Godzillas hand. You need to buy the picture they take you can't take your own. COVID19? They got you covered. And I don't mean the wax figures are covered in viruses, either. They hand out surgical masks at the entrance for free because you need to wear them inside (county ordinance). Inside, the queue area goes back and forth like a lot of attractions, and they put glass panels between rows so you are in your own little area. They also have lines on the floor to keep groups six feet apart. Outside it was little more chaotic and a lot of people in line didn't know how to keep their distance, but at least we were outside! They have a timer set for a few minutes to let groups go in so they can be away from each other, too. It made the line move slowly but it felt like a good measure? So, on to the museum itself: FUN! Lots of nifty wax figures of various stars. In the lobby, after you get your photo in King Kong's hand (yes, that's a thing!) you can hang out with Tupac. I figured he wasn't really dead, but I wasn't sure where he ran off to...apparently it was Pigeon Forge, TN! After that, you can enter (when the timer is up) and right away you're on the red carpet with several celebrities. Crazy Jack Nicholson is on the carpet with you, so you'd better place nice or you'll be dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight. Off in a corner is a pretty decent Doctor Henry Jones Jr, aka Indiana! It was fun pretending to be in a temple with him, looting graves like some colonizer. Wait, no, maybe I didn't like that part...that's bad! But it was fun to get a pic with Dr. Jones. There is a second floor, which has a lot of more recent stuff - lots of actors from Fast & Furious (Statham, Rock, Diesel) in one area. There is a really cool horror section that has a xenomorph from the Alien franchise, and a Predator...who is one ugly mother. The last room was pretty fun as it was mostly musicians. Of COURSE they had Dolly Parton, ride in the middle of a line of country musicians. Probably had her come on over to model for it and everything. All in all, it was rather fun. I took a lot of selfies with "famous people". I even got beamed down with Kirk and Spock from a transporter pad on the original Enterprise! Definitely get a coupon somewhere and get the multipass to the castle stuff behind it, as some of that is pretty fun, too. Staff had minimal interactions, but they were all nice (except to people who kept taking their masks off inside, but they deserved being scolded). read more

Great place. 8/10 as far as accuracy of celebrities. Some of them were way off the mark but get an "E" for effort. It's 2 levels of entertainment which allows you the opportunity to interact with the waxed figures. There are props at most of the figures stations for you to wear and use for pictures which is neat as well. We actually had more fun than we thought we would. If you take your time and actually enjoy the scenery and figures and read the info it should take about 1.5....maybe 2 hours to enjoy it all. The gift shop had a lot of nice things as well. Definitely reccomend, it was $60+ tax for 2 adult tickets for the wax museum itself. When you first enter you get your picture taken in front of King Kong and can purchase that at the end. They have a lot of different celebrities and characters you can take pictures with, with lots of props! There are 2 levels to the museum, and a gift shop at the end. I highly suggest you stop and take a look at this place! Everyone is also super friendly. It took us about an hour to look at everything and take pictures. read more

You might go for the wax museum but you'll stay for the haunted house. I'm a horror fanatic and love a good haunt. If you are able to, get the all access pass and enjoy the scare! Easily the best deal in pigeon forge and the scariest haunted house I've ever been to. They targeted me because I'm jumpy and let me tell you... it was relentless for what felt like hours.
