He offered his opinion but deferred to our preferences and worked to find ways to make our project less expensive. In fact, even though we ended up ordering new cabinets for the desk rather than re-using existing cabinets (because it looked much better) and he did some additional work, the job came in less than he estimated - the first time we've ever had that happen! John was great at keeping us updated on when materials would arrive and allow him to start, and accurate with his estimates. He worked around our schedule and cleaned up at the end of every evening, always making sure that things were safe for our three-year-old and pets. He did several extra small things at the end, such as rewiring some switches in the hall for us, and did them at no charge. John worked very quickly and his work is fantastic - very high quality. You can't even tell that the project was a remodel; it looks like it was always here - which is exactly what we wanted. I can't recommend him highly enough. We will definitely be using him again!

It was a big job and they also ran into some issues with rot which they were able to fix. Josh and Cam were great to work with! Their communication throughout the project was great and they worked hard to get it done on time. They had great attention to detail and we really felt we could trust that they were doing quality work that would last, not just rushing through the job. We compared quotes with other companies before hiring them, and their price was very competitive. I will definitely use Ravenwood Builders for future jobs and would highly recommend them to anyone.

As with any major remodel or construction job, there were bumps in the road, but Bruce always addressed them and made everything right, even following up after the weather changed to check on the work and make a few minor adjustments when some siding expanded because of the heat. Pete was respectful of our house and effects, helpful and informative and articulate. He replaced an old linoleum counter top with new laminate and replaced a sink. Both the plumber, Steve Brillinger, and Richard Jordan, the laminate installer were wonderful. Finished on time, within budget, and it looks fantastic. The owner was very nice, communicated the project great, and timing of project was good as well…read more Unfortunately, the quality was really bad for the amount of money spent. We had to have our basement completely redone after a pipe burst. It was a horrible situation and we couldn't wait to have our space back but we still don't because the quality at the end of the project has us now fixing things ourselves. When we hired him, we also wanted to add two custom built in's, along with fixing our basement back to original. Both of these custom built in's were very low quality. Many things in our basement are not level, plum, or square. One built-in is so un level and out of square that it is now unusable. I believe he tried, He just doesn't have the experience or is at the quality level for doing custom work for home interior. He does contract out for some projects and the company who he hired to do the drywall and paint were amazing so we were very thankful for that. He was aware of our concerns and offered to try and fix things, but due to multiple times through out the project of pointing out similar concerns we are just at the point now we will fix it ourselves. Overall the majority of our basement is OK, but we are definitely not in love with the fishised results.

He plan was to run two lines, however, he found the issue with the original electrical line, and only had to run the updated line for the GFCI. He put all of the outlets back in the wall that I had exposed to get him the overview of the job. He completed the work of troubleshooting the electrical issue and ran a new line up through a crawl space in three hours.
