I just enjoyed a burger from Holten and thought it was very good. Thin and juicy. It was very tasty and flavorful.

We were very impressed with the place, lots of selection. Very friendly staff and quick service. The place was clean and very well stocked. We loved it and will definitely be back! Every time I am in Kenricks I feel like a part of the family. They go above and beyond for their customers daily. The quality of meats, choices of quick meal items, and the grocery selection featuring local companies makes Kenrick's a great place to visit. From the Meat Market my favorites include prosciutto wrapped asparagus, chicken/beef spedini, and the kebobs! The K-Café is another favorite -- They have a to-go window makes it easy to grab lunch or dinner. I often call ahead for pickup, the meatloaf, fried chicken, and deli sandwiches are top choices. Kenrick's also has an outstanding catering department that truly works with each customer's needs. If you're looking for help during the upcoming holiday season, I highly recommend giving Kenrick's a try!

After reading some of the reviews I almost didn't know what to expect. The staff was very eager to help me. I told them I'd like to browse around a bit before I ordered some meat and they were fine.( I thought this was the place they hand out beer so I was also kind of waiting to be handed a nice cold beer, but no cigar!) Anyway I went back and ordered some meat. I bought a couple of steaks and pork chops. Not a lot but I wanted to try stuff first before I went all out. I thought the prices were comparable to a city Schnucks. I was surprised at how clean the place was. No music blaring out, no music at all. Didn't notice bad floors or clients behaving inappropriately. Every staff person I spoke with were kind and spoke English. Kudos to the owners for fixing this place up, if that's what happened. You have a neat meat market. The only thing that had me scratching my head was the receipt. There were no numbers on it so I had no idea how much each thing cost, just the total amount. No amounts on the wrappings from the meat either. The receipt seemed right for what I purchased so its not a problem, just different.

It gets crowded on the weekends. If you try and stagger the time that you go, it may not be as busy. Parking is meter/paid parking, but you may luck up and find free parking. Review Title: 4 Easy steps to 52 Saturdays of CONTROLLED CHAOS!…read more The MUST-DO thing for all St. Louis'ians and Non-St. Louis'ians. But you gotta do it right! Step 1: Schedule a Saturday off to yourself (yes, the Market's open Wed-Sat, but you get 100% vendorship on Saturdays) Step 2: Set your alarm clock EARLY! The trick is the "when" do you get there? Wait til the later hours of the day.. and every shop will be empty that you went for! I've learned this too many times in my sleep-in days, to get there way too late to find so many of the shops sold out, or the "runts" of the sales left. So figure out Early and then getup before then! Step 3: Get in your car and go shopping!!! (Follow the map of course!) Plain and simple you want fresh produce.. this is where you go. Whether it's veggies,. meats, baked goods, coffee, soaps, sweets, snacks, and even alchy beverages if you so desire! (and you just might as the day goes on) Get there early and load up! (Just warning you, you may have to make a few runs between your shops and your car, considering what you -could- load up on. Now as stated by many, it's a smorgasboard of what you can find, all along the entire market. (but just a word of advice, whatever you buy at the market, please clean and store PROPERLY as soon as you get home, this is a farmer's market and you can lose some fresh produce REALLY QUICK!) And just remember you're going to have to fight your way through the crowds. because EVERYONE and their relative knows to come here. (Picture yourself in a demolition derby with everyone.. cause that's what it's going to feel llike... Controlled Chaos! **See I knew I'd fit the title in here somewhere*) I will admit you there are some vendors that sell the usual "touristy wares" on occasion, such as "gold jewelry", Sports uniforms (Battlehawks, Cardinals, Blues), you know the quick .. touristy stuff. But the real value is the food and the food 'trucks', including BBQ , New Orleans style cuisine, mediterranean.. you know everything you can find at a farmer's market :) STEP 4: And to top off the day. a real daiquiri or bloody mary to seal the deal! And there you have it folks... 4 steps to a Controlled Chaos of a Saturday in the Lou!!
