We drove over a sharp curb and gashed/flatted the motorhome's tire. They had the right size tire in stock and were able to get to us and change it out within a little over an hour. (Unfortunately, AAA didn't have them listed as mobile tire repair, so it took us some searching and word of mouth to find them - but once we did, AAA took care of the service call and mounting, and all we had to pay for was the tire itself. ) Thanks to Robert for being so quick, friendly, and hard working in the hot, hot sun, and getting us back on the road quickly. read more

Nothing wrong with the service, but after asking if we could do the work ourselves (tire repair) they never answered the question, but did rush out to the house to get the sale before we were able to figure out how easy it was. The tech was very nice and in no way at fault. Next time it might be a good idea to offer someone options on a 2-minute repair instead of rushing out to collect nearly $300. Now not only did they lose any future business from us, but we will be telling everyone we know not to use Holt. I think that's going to cost them more than the money made from this. Terrible company and nasty people. These people sent me a certified letter saying they had impounded my car and I owed them $1,084.95 with fees being added every day. The problem is that is wasn't my car. I had sold it many months before and the title had been transferred. When I had the audacity to ask them to send me corrected paperwork showing I didn't owe them anything, the woman yelled at me, called me rude and hung up the phone. Even after they send me a threatening letter via certified mail demanding over $1000, she thought that I was rude to ask her for something in writing clarifying their error. If you live near Athens and need somebody to tow your car, call anybody except Holts Wrecker Service. read more

This company should be pulled up on ethics charges... The company is required by law to notify the owner within three business days. Holt took the full three days to notify and charged both for those days and the weekend i was in non-receipt, When contacted, the company was less than understanding or friendly. Holt's is not a member of any Chamber of Commerce in any of their three locations and is not recognized by the Better Business Bureau. If we had been notified, we would have had the vehicle towed to our location, not to Holt's lot... initial towing charge from the company was $250 for a cross town (Athens, TX) tow, plus they are charging $50 for notifying us and $20/day ($120 accrued before notification). We were in town from Houston for the weekend for a family event at Lake Athens when our 13 year old son locked the keys in our trunk. Our insurance company called Holt Wrecker to come out and unlock the car. They got there really fast and the guy, I believe it was the owner himself, helped us get back into our car. There was an issue with the alarm but he stayed until the job was done and we were back in. Great customer service!! read more

I had a very positive experience with Holt's Wrecker Service. I needed a vehicle jump started on a weekend and they showed right up. I am a teacher and had to be to school on Monday and would have been in a bad situation had they not been willing to come out on a weekend evening. read more
