So came here for dinner and got the shrimp scampi! Tasted just as good as it looked! Lots of shrimp, garlic, other stuff, etc. Excellent. Lots of other seafood choices, they seem to specialize in the mixed grill / seafood tower type dishes. It all looked good. There's a counter at the front where you can pick out your dinner. Reasonable prices for what you get, really good selection of wine by the glass. Good looking and friendly staff. Five stars!

We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

This shared dining experience is very memorable!…read more From picking the fish to the side dishes, we were guided through the process. It's honestly a surprise from the moment we arrived, because there wasn't a set menu and we didn't know what to expect! The food came out quicker than expected. The seasoning of everything was on point. The fish was fresh and cooked to the right tenderness. My husband and I finished everything (like no bite left behind) in 90 minutes! (You can see how big the fish was in the photo!) I got to say on a side note that the seats are quite small and uncomfortable. I should have taken advantage of their coat area. I was out and about for 6 hours and bought a ton of stuff from museums and markets. There was not enough space for me to put my stuff at my seat at all. The final touch was the free ice cream cone at the end. Andddd I should have asked if I could kept the sardine... unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it here in the U.S.

You choose your seafood and they tell you how it will be served. The seafood is weighed and you're given a tally of your meal. You also choose a selection of sides to go with your dinner. Once you choose your seafood you go to the wine bar and choose your drinks. We chose a pasta side orecchiette with pesto sauce and curried cauliflower. For our main dish, we chose the seabreem. We started with scallops and calamari which were both delicious and our seabreem was perfectly cooked. It would be nice to have more than one option as to how our fish could be made but all in all everything was fresh and well prepared. Service came with a smile and you can't beat the novelty and ambiance!

We come to this conclusion. You point, which fish and if you like it, you pay by weight. It's all market price. Then they take care of everything and put it in a plate for you. With some cuts of lemon and let the smash down occur. You pay,, they give you a number. After that it's all honor system with the condiments and drinks of whatever non alcoholic drinks as you might please. After a few chit chats, the food arrives and you just open up on it. It's so good, specially to the fish aficionados. This a playground of good fish. Everything was good and fresh. Takes me back to living in the islands. Anyways, I do recommend this to anyone that eats "real fish." Bato bato sa langit, kung matamaan wag magalit. Wouldn't mind totally smashing here any day. It's that good. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Boy oh boy this is some of the best eating you're going to get! The food is fresh from the daily haul of local fish and other seafood delicacies. We had fried anchovies, smelts, shrimp, mussels, sea bass, red snapper, tuna and other items I couldn't identify, but so very delicious. My cousin who lives near this restaurant made the other choices. There was also a beautiful salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots and corn. We were also given a most delectable spicy red sauce to dip the bread. This restaurant gave me my total European moment. We dined alfresco in a local quaint neighborhood with shops in between houses and apartments in a very clean artsy neighborhood. As we sat outside we saw all of the local Amsterdam residents pass us on their bikes that had baskets with of course two loves bread and cheese.

Wines pair very will with the menu and they have some very reasonably priced but excellent selections. Great people from the chef to server and oyster shuckers, you will enjoy. I had a selection of different oysters selected by the shucker and they were each different flavor profile but each outstanding! Sweet, mineral tasting, creamy and saline. Good selection. Just a bit of a squeeze of lemon tartness all that was needed to accentuate the flavor. I followed with mussels in a Gorgonzola sauce. I was a bit put off thinking the Gorgonzola would overwhelm the flavor and sweetness of the Mussel but I am a convert. Only thing was I had to ask for more of that delectable sauce and crusty bread to sop up all that delicious sauce. They were happy to oblige and I was in heaven. Seafood in the hands of this chef is a joy. Try this place. You will not be disappointed!
