He took the time to check out what he could of our leaking septic system, inside and out, and talked with my husband about the issues that they may find when the needed excavation was done. When I got my propane tank dropped off the girl that has absolutely no clue what she's doing told me in 3 days someone would come and fill it up fully, it was over a week later that someone actually did show up to fill it which wasn't a big deal but I had never had a big propane tank like that so I had no clue how long the starter amount they put in there would last and it was the dead of winter so it was nerve racking. After they come and fill it fully they give you your bill which, as what the clueless lady said, should've been just about 200-220. The bill was over 100 dollars more than the price I was told it would be and when I called they were acting like I was crazy because "the price on propane fluctuates". However the only reason I gave two stars is because they did fix the bill for me and gave me the amount I was told it would've been, them fixing it however caused a whole new set of problems. Fixing the bill took them over a month and I kept calling about it and kept being told it wasn't done yet and that they'd send me the bill which I never ended up getting. The only reason I knew it was finally fixed is when they finally called me OVER a month later and asked me when I was planning to pay the new balance like I was the one who was taking forever. Keep in mind I never got anything in the mail about and I called many times to check up on when I would get the new bill and was told that they were working on it and to wait until I received the bill in the mail. The only semi decent thing about that was they let me pay over the phone which they wouldn't let me do the entire time they were "working on it" I'm sorry but I refuse to believe it took them an entire month to fix my bill. And lastly I called them at maybe the second week of April and asked them to come pick my propane tank, I asked when it would be picked up and was basically told " that's not how it works they get to it when they are in the area". I'm 20 minutes from Cortland and pass where they reside nearly daily and I'm in a campground full of people who specifically get propane tanks through JB Smith but okay fine I can understand not making a special trip. I asked for an estimated time they'd be in the area because I wanted to be here when they picked it up and she looked it up and said they'll be there and should be able to pick it up in a week. Over a week passes and I haven't been called or notified in any way why no one has shown up so I call and I get the same damn girl who could care less and she tells me that almost ALL of their trucks broke down and they're having this huge problem and I'm like okay that's fine when will they be coming now. she tells me some specific day within the week that I can't remember now and guess what no one come yet again. From the very first time I called it's been around 2 and 1/2- 3 weeks and I'm about to be moving so I called today and got someone who actually knows what they're doing and I explain how long it's been and that I'm leaving and you know what she says , we can have someone over there this afternoon. THIS AFTERNOON. Like seriously has it been that easy from that start. An hour after that phone call someone is here picking up my propane tank. Except now, I don't know if they have a policy where they don't hook back up your own propane tanks but, I'm now left with figuring out how to put it back together and make sure it's not leaking alone. They are the sole reason I will not be winter camping again. The only time I enjoyed anything about JB Smith is after I finally got them paid and I wasn't having to call them or deal with them at all and I had a propane tank I didn't need to fill for 3 months and could use without worry. Worst experience ever.

I had a faucet that was leaking, causing mold and leakage onto my kitchen floor, that needed service quickly. Though I did not call for urgent service, the plumbers were over within two hours. They installed my faucet, explained what had happened, offered advice, and removed all used parts, which was all done neatly and within a short amount of time. Joe was reliable, knowledgeable, incredibly polite (even took off his shoes upon entering), honest, and did what he said he was going to do at the price point quoted. I really couldn't have asked for better service and I highly recommend them.

Called for a shower that was backing up in our bedroom. It was about on hour in that he looked at…read morethe shower. He had camera scoped the clean out drain to the septic etc. and no issues. Got to the shower and first plunged it (with my plunger) and broke the plunger. Then snaked it. After about 30 minutes of hearing the banging of the snaking I came in to see what was happening. The clog was worse and he seemed baffled as to why. Mentioned that the snake was fully extended and he didn't know where it all was going - that it made no sense. I walked downstairs to find water pouring through the ceiling and a sink overflowing. He proceeded to say that "that was already like that". That we are now at about something like $400 for his time thus far and to keep going we are looking at $300 more. My response was that I think I would have noticed if I had water leaking like that I would have noticed and pointed out that we were just down here scoping the clean out and there was not water pouring out - this just happened. I asked what he thinks might be going on, did he break a pipe snaking? His response was "I am going to leave it there" As in I am walking out with water pouring through your celling and out your sink. I was shocked and barely holding back tears. His response was "this is my business and I don't want you to sue me". He did indeed walk out. It took me 24 hours to get something else here and in that time a pipe burst in our wall causing even more damage. Turned out he broke the shower pan when snaking causing the issues - yet another issue we are left fixing. What a nightmare and beyond unprofessional.
