Chris was professional, on time and indetified the problem with my dish washer. A small mouse did some damage. Later the machine would not fill, Jeremy came out and pointed out that just pulling the power plug does not reset the machine. He pointed out how to acually reset this dish washer. Update: The repair didn't quite work. The dryer heats now, but it cuts out in the middle of a normal (automatic) cycle. When the diagnostic tech came out the first time, he banged on the solenoids, and that got them partially working. But the repair Hargo did didn't change that. So they didn't diagnose the problem properly. What really irks me is that they want to charge another $90 to send someone out to do another diagnostic. Old review: Hargo just got done fixing my dryer, and it seems to be in perfect working order now. They also gave me some good advice on getting a better exterior vent. The total turn-around time for me was about a week. I gave them the exact model of my dryer, but the diagnostic guy who showed up a few days ago didn't come prepared with any parts, so I had to wait a few more days, and they were only quick on the second visit because I called just after they'd had a cancelation. But that was really lucky. It seems that Hargo is one of the few appliance repair places in town, so they're absolutely slammed with everyone's repairs. Even just calling them on the phone, I get put on hold for extended periods every time, so the phones are ringing off the hook. I talked to their tech about that, and my take-away is that they're actively trying to hire both techs and customer service reps, but there just isn't enough available workforce. And their employees have to work over time to barely keep up with the demand. They charge $109 just to come out and diagnose the problem, and I can see why. I would not want to send a tech out for a potentially lengthy diagnostic, for free, when they could be making revenue on a real repair job. Overall, their total charge for the repair wasn't bad, considering how labor has dominated repair costs since the 1970's. Bottom line: They'll do a good job, but manage your expectations on the time. It's going to take a while for your repair to get done, because there are heck of a lot of other people in the queue ahead of you. read more

The problem was never resolved. New washing machine, had problems with draining. I had to change the cycle to manual drain and spin, then continue wash cycle. Service techs came out 3 times. Replaced a part on the back of machine on first service. Came back for second call, told me, low water pressure. We disconnected it, and moved it to garage. I purchased another different machine. Third service he said same thing, low water pressure. I had extended warranty, and tried to get it returned. Nope. After awhile, we started having well problems. The result of the water problem was that the screens on the intake hoses were plugged. Now we have this expensive ($688) machine that I can't sell. I would ha e thought the appliance center would offer to buy it from me, since it was the result of their service. Nope. I am very dissatisfied. read more

Would not recommend. Very unhappy with repair that took three visits and charged for two service calls blaming our "wiring".

Worst customer service ever! Just look online for a while and you will find plenty of complaints about them selling faulty parts even though they claim it rarely happens. I have been doing maintenance for over 15 years. I know a bad part when I test it. They sell broken parts then blame the customer and keep the money. this company is horribl. took more than a month to get service fir my 8 month old Whirlpool washer. Hargo is the only service company in the Southern Tier that is contracted with Whirlpool. when they finally arrived and the technician began his evaluation which took him 45 minute he said he had to reset the computer to factory settings and left. a month later I received a bill from Hargo for 108.00. I was in the process of moving within a week of the repair delaying in receipt of bill. I called company and the rude person I spoke to said. There was nothing wrong with your washer do you have to pay us 108.00. "if it is not paid we will never repair the appliance under warranty". I purchased from Lowe's and paid for a 5 year extended warranty which will start after the first year (which I am in. they said I need to contact Whirlpool directly which I did. Whirlpool reached out to Hargo and the customer service person said she will not adjust the code that was submitted so I am liable to pay them. I absolutely do not recommend this company. read more
