Joe installed a custom built lockset in a custom built door and did a great job. He showed up on time and worked diligently and professionally. There was nothing cookie-cutter about this job as the door is a custom reconstruction in a 140 year old fire station and the lockset is also a custom job built by a blacksmith. The job understandably took a little longer than estimated and the total was reasonably and fairly adjusted for the extra time and work. Now the door functions better than before there was a lockset in it, so I could not be happier with Joe's work. I almost wish I had more doors that needed his excellent work! read more

I lost my 2nd key to my 2019 Honda Fit. I called Curry and was told it would cost me $257 +tax to replace it. I asked If I could buy my own key and them cut it and program it. I was told No! we only use our Honda key. I called Holyoke Lock Company and they said that I could get my own key and if it matched they would cut it and program it for me for $80. I bought a key on Amazon for $18 and today I went to Holyoke Lock and they cut and programmed it for $80. I would recommend them to everyone. The service was beyond great. Family run business and showed compassion to me over the stress I had gone through over losing this key. You know what Curry can do with their key! In and out in 5 minutes when needing keys copied. These are SC9 key which for what ever reason can not get copied in the key machines outside of stores. The facility is clean, welcoming and the staff was very helpful. I will return for sure. read more

If I could give half a star I would. I purchased two replacement keys for my Honda Pilot and in about 30-40 days one of the keys was falling apart. The key in question went from the ignition to my pocketbook and back and forth each day. It was never thrown around or dropped onto the ground. They would not do anything for me because they don't know what I did with the key after I left with the key. I called and spoke with the Manager and she wanted me to go to vendor that they bought the additional key from and find out from them what their warranty was. I told her that I bought them from her company and they should warranty them and she would not. She even asked me what I wanted her to do and I said you already told me you want replace it so there is nothing left to do. I called this company because their name was on one of the doors in a factory building I was renting. The rather unenthusiastic employee they sent, looked at the door which was an older type with some rust. He installed a lock then wrote up an invoice for several hundred dollars with a notation that the door was not of the type that supported the structure of the lock. Within two days the lock was not only not closing the door properly, but the locking mechanism would not move in and out into the latch. I asked them to come out again, and the employee again unenthusiastically looked at the lock and told me he had straightened out the mechanism and suggested I buy a new door and frame which would have cost me $2300 from a different vendor. Again the lock failed and I called them back, leaving a message saying I wanted to return it, because they shouldn't have sold it to me in the first place, if they didn't think it was going to work. I received no response, so I called again. When I called back the second time a gruff man answered the phone and said they wouldn't take the lock back even though I was going to buy a different type of lock from them, a deadbolt. I told the man he shouldn't have sold me that lock and should've sold me a deadbolt. The man said you didn't tell us you wanted us to drill a hole and put a deadbolt in. I told him it's not my job to tell you how to do your job. If the original lock wasn't going to work, there was no doubt a deadbolt would. He again refused to trade the lock for a deadbolt and I told him I couldn't give him a good review would have to write a negative review. He then said to me "Oh, so that's the kind of person you are!", further reinforcing the fact that they resented customers who wanted quality work. I tried to give him one more chance to take the lock and attach a deadbolt; but he slammed the phone down. I would definitely not recommend this company. They may be able to make keys quickly when you walk in their front door; but the other several doors in my factory will be going to somebody else to do. read more
