Vanessa and David are the BEST. They care for our pups as if they are their own, and are careful about their meds, physical limitations (our older dog has some ACL issues), and other needs. I searched and searched for a dog walking company on Thumbtack and on Yelp and finally came across one that served the Northbrook area. HAPC responded right away on Yelp, took my information, made a home visit, and we were on our way! Vanessa the owner was a dream. She met my moms dog Louie and started walking him and I would get daily status emails and pics of Louie when they were out and about. What I also love about HAPC is that I didn't have to go through so many hoops and applications like some other companies who ask for way too much info, like your dogs blood type and your blood type etc. I kid, but really, HAPC makes the process go a lot easier than what's out there. Really great care received on multiple occasions, for different pets (18 yo older kitty), one younger cat and the two younger cats. A couple longer trips, with last being 10 days in Jan 2018, 2 visits a day. The cats looked happy and calm when we came back, and the place was pretty orderly considering that they are messy critters who like to shred and upturn things just for fun. I was really apprehensive first as one of the cats is extremely shy with outsiders but he did really well while we were gone, so did the bold one. I'd recommend HAPC to anyone, we used to have a family member pet sit but the quality of care was nowhere near the level I want for my beasties. I also love getting picture updates of the pets at visits that assures me they are doing well. Highly recommend this business! read more
