My…read moreinitial consult was at their office where I met Briana and was my point of contact throughout the entire process. We were building a new home and having had custom closets before, I didn't want to do without. I was able to see some of the finished work as well as some of the work being built and it's a very professional set up. Briana made the entire process effortless on my part. Fortunately, I had all the drawings from the house so she was able to come up with a rough idea of what would work based up on my needs. I had pictures from some previous closet shelving in my prior home and she was able to use that to configure something similar since I liked what I had before. Just a note, the other drawers I had installed was back in California which is why I didn't go back to them. The next step was for Briana to physically come out to the construction site to measure so she could come up with the final design and estimate. I don't even think I waited a day to get the estimate. Super efficient! They took a 50% deposit and there was a bit of lead time but this wasn't a problem since the house was going to take some time to construct. I put Briana in touch with my builder and after that, they mostly coordinated installation together so didn't have to work around two people's schedules. We had hard wood floors installed so there was some concern about the installation and any damage to the new walls/floors. But other than new drawers and shelving... you would never know they were even there. They even made special adjustments based upon what we wanted. I'm a big fan of wooden dowels to hang from instead of metal bars that typically come with custom built closets. I supplied the wooden dowels and cups to hold the dowels and they installed it all. After the installation, we noticed one drawer didn't seem to ride on a rail properly. I brought it up to Briana and Holly and they acted immediately to get someone up and repair the one rail. Out of more than 30 drawers, just one had a rail that didn't work correctly, but they replaced it instantly and there have been no further issues. Custom closets are a big investment, but if you have ever had them before... you'll never again do without. And they are well worth the money! We hope to construct another home in the future and without hesitation I will come back to Briana and Holly. They were always available and often made me feel like I was the only client. Anytime I had a question, they were quick to respond. So easy to work with and quality work!

We've worked with Inspired Closets on multiple projects throughout our home over the last 4 years,…read moreand the overall impact has been significant. Our house is a fairly typical Austin new build with limited built-in storage, so we were left solving for organization ourselves. Over time, they've helped transform several areas, including an under-the-stairs pantry, living room built-ins, a wall bed for a small office, and a large storage cabinet near our entryway. The standout project is probably our pantry. It used to be a dark, awkward squeeze under the stairs that was hard to navigate and even harder to keep organized. They completely reimagined the space with lighting, floor-to-ceiling shelving, drawers, and a small countertop area that now houses appliances we used to keep on the kitchen counters. They managed to make an under-the-stairs pantry feel like a feature, not a compromise. It's a tiny footprint that works incredibly hard and has honestly become one of my favorite spaces in the house. The design process has always been highly collaborative for us. Kelly Toye, our consultant and designer, has been a steady and thoughtful partner across every project. She takes what we ask for and makes it better, consistently bringing multiple concepts and helping us think beyond the immediate moment. One example is the living room storage. We currently use cubbies with baskets for toys, but the system was intentionally designed so those can evolve into drawers or cabinetry as our kids grow. That future-thinking approach shows up throughout the work, including small details like curved open shelving on the wall bed installation, which keeps a tight room from feeling visually heavy and more integrated into the home. Communication and installation were smooth across several phases. Scheduling was transparent, timelines were clear, and the team stayed responsive during multi-room projects. Lead times can run six to eight weeks depending on availability, but expectations were always clearly set. In terms of craftsmanship, the quality has held up well with everyday use. It may not sit at the ultra-high-end price tier, but the functionality and durability have been strong for our family. We've had a couple of minor hardware issues over time, and the lifetime warranty has made those easy to resolve. Service calls have been straightforward, and fixes were handled quickly. One of the biggest changes has been how much calmer our daily routines feel. Spaces that were previously chaotic or underutilized now work with us. Toys have a place, workspaces can flex, and storage evolves as our needs change. It feels less like adding furniture and more like adding infrastructure to the house. Overall, Inspired Closets has been collaborative, thoughtful, and highly functional in how they approach storage design. The spaces they created are not only hardworking but genuinely beautiful, and the value feels strong compared to some higher-end alternatives. If you're looking for solutions that balance aesthetics, flexibility, and real-world usability, they've been a great fit for us.

I chose Inspired Closets Austin over vendors quoting less than half their price, sold on the idea of a high-end, family-owned business with premium quality and a lifetime warranty. To be fair, our designer Kathy was great -- professional, responsive, and understood our needs well. But the rest of the experience didn't live up to the pitch. We scheduled our install more than six weeks out and planned everything around it -- including clearing the space and coordinating new flooring -- only to get a call *the day before* saying they'd ordered the wrong cabinets. No prior warning, and the install was delayed nearly a month. They eventually waived the final 10%, but I had to follow up to make that happen. Then after install, I noticed one cabinet overhangs a step by nearly 2 inches. It wasn't flagged by the install team at any point, and I only noticed it later myself -- disappointing and surprising for what I was told was an "extremely custom" design. Inspired Closets talks like a premium service, charges like one, but doesn't deliver like one. I would not recommend them.

I have since hired a 3rd party crew to reinstall the closet so there is not much that can be done from CbD but I truly appreciate a business that values their customers. If the problem could have been discussed and remedied before it had to reach the public to have an effect that would be ideal. I do think my water damage issue where the closet system needed to come off the wall is rare (although not rare in high rise condos) but I am glad it sounds like CbD in the future will do their best to address customer's requests. I think for their effort in trying to do right in this case it should get a better rating than 1.

Not only were we disappointed with the quality of the materials used, but the removal of the existing brackets and shelving also caused significant damage to the walls of the closet. After the installation, we contacted our consultant for clarification. The consultant explained that we were presented with the most severe scenarios depicted in their book, but my husband and I had not been shown these images. If we had been presented with these options, we would have chosen a different approach. Unfortunately, no assistance was offered to resolve this issue, and we are required now to hire another professional to repair the damage to the three walls. We would not use Closets by Design, again. They are overpriced for the quality of materials. Their consultants are misleading in their attempts to make a sale. And when there are issues, they do not provide any resolution.

He had no lights on his trailer so I didn't see him until he was about 50 feet away. I went under the trailer and hit the axle at around 45 mph suffering head trauma among other things. My life was forever changed. Assessing the damage still years later it was found I lost the ability to organize things around me and remember what I had. I tended to keep things out in the open so I could see it every day and take an account of what I had. Then I moved in with my entire household of stuff into my grandmother's home which was also full of stuff. To make matters worse I had become a bit of a shopaholic after my accident. I could never remember what I bought so I bought it 4 and 5 times over in many cases. I was tripping over boxes and furniture and my family or friends would no longer come inside to visit. My mom did some research and hired Randi Lyman of A Helping Hand. She couldn't have picked a better person to help me. Randi is very considerate and a positive force even in my life today. She is so supportive and in no way looks down on you regardless of your situation. She is so compassionate and incredibly professional. My house is now organized and de cluttered. She helped me make decisions where my thought processes had broken down. I can't thank her enough for what she did. I was also imbued with her thought processes for making decisions about buying and also organizing what I already have. So as new things come in, old things go out and the new stuff is organized. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who needs help regardless of your situation. Thanks again Randi! You are one of the finest people I know!

She was so much fun to work with - so personable, not too serious yet still very professional, and was genuinely interested in my actual life. She even wanted to meet my 8 guinea pigs, hee-hee - it was so awesome that she is also an animal lover, and has a big heart for animals (kiss-kiss for Julie from Auntie Jackie!). Randi also made a huge effort even before our first appointment to understand exactly what I was needing, and asked me to send her some photos that were both fun and also pertaining to what I used the room we would be working on for (i.e. that showed what kinds of items I make in my sewing and craft room). I call myself a mini hoarder, especially when it comes to fabrics and crafts, and she was so patient and non-judgmental towards me. It's very reassuring as well to know that she has so many years of experience working with other adults with ADHD. She snuck in some helpful gems of how to stay organized as we were working through our 3 hours without me really realizing it, but that info sunk in. Only a day after working with her, I found myself looking at a few lamps in that and another room and thinking, "I can donate those - I can let them and tons of other things like those go, and it will make my life much easier and less stressful to let them go. We're not even using them or haven't for 6 years!" She was very inspiring and working with her made me excited to do more, not only in that room but in the rest of the house. I would highly, highly recommend her!
