They did not charge me a month after I began therapy to change to a different mask type. All well and good - but wait, it gets WAY better! Recently I was on a flight from Seattle to Chicago which turned into one of those horrible weather delays where we needed to land at another airport because we were almost out of fuel. We went to Grand Rapids, MI - and passengers whose ultimate destination was Grand Rapids were allowed to get off, as they were going to miss their connecting flight in Chicago because of the delay. One of those people picked up my CPAP bag by mistake and took it off the flight. When I landed in Chicago, there was the other passenger's CPAP bag - but mine was gone. The airline was no help - it was 1:30 in the morning (six hours late) and there were no Customer Service agents available. I took the other passenger's bag and went home, had a terrible night of sleep, and called Aura the next morning. Ronnie took my call and I explained what happened, providing serial number and other identifying info for the other person's equipment. He and his colleagues took this situation very seriously. Working with the CPAP manufacturer of the other person, Ronnie was eventually able to provide the other person with my contact information. Aura Healthcare paid for a loaner of CPAP equipment for me, and facilitated the shipping of the other person's equipment back to him. I was only without my CPAP for a few days - without the valiant and rapid efforts of Aura Healthcare I would've had to purchase new equipment and have a much longer delay before I got a good night of sleep again. I can't thank them enough for their care and their hard work to solve a weird and rare problem. Kudos to Aura Healthcare!

I found custom home care while researching help for my neighbor when he was released from rehab…read more He is 83 and needed daily care after bad fall. I called a variety of agencies but once I connected with custom it just felt right. Sheila scheduled a visit while in rehab and then home visit before he transitioned home. Their advice, reccomendations and everything has been stellar. They are able to accomodate needs quickly and have a large, excellent pool of caregivers. They were able to provide male caregivers as well which was a major plus. We have used custom for about 4 months now and it only gets better. The caregivers have ALL been professional, knowledgeable and people you feel very comfortable leaving alone with my neighbor. Each one has been outstanding in keeping me informed and I know my friend is watched out for and safe. If you researching these options I understand how stressful and discouraging it can be. Its a very difficult process but I can assure you that custom has exceeded our expectations. Highest praise and highest respect to EVERY one I have talked to at custom home. They amount of stress that has been removed knowing we chose wisely is the most wonderful feeling ever.

My daughter has been with BBD North Center for 3 years, enrolled pretty early on as a 2 year old…read more She has ASD, GDD, feeding difficulties and ADHD. They came highly recommended by OTs from EI and from colleagues at UIH. So far my daughter has had astronomical leaps in communication, social emotional skills, self regulation, and academic (kindergarten) skills. She still has a lot of things to work on but the team has been amazing. I want to specially shout out Salena, the BEST BCBA ever. She sets aside an hour bi weekly to talk to me about my daughter's progress, my future goals and priorities, and sometimes acts as a parent therapist to help me manage my own expectations and anxieties. For a long time, my daughter would not enter public bathrooms. This is something we've been working on for years. Since Salena has taken over her case, my daughter now goes inside Starbucks and Trader Joes and even washes her hands! This has been the MOST progress she's had on this front. My daughter is also very attached and affectionate towards Salena, which is a testament to her skills and genuine care.
