Most importantly, they are both extremely kind to our mom and because of that, she looks forward to seeing them. They assist her with her personal needs, heat up meals for her, encourage her to get up and walk around the house with their assistance so she doesn't sit for too long and finally, they get her ready for bed and put her to bed for the night. We feel very fortunate to have such caring and highly qualified caregivers. When we initially reached out to Compassion Home Care, Matthew, the owner, called me back the same day I called them. He gave me Laura's name who would work with my sisters and me to come up with the best caregivers for my mom's needs. Laura is extremely professional and her main goal was to learn what we were looking for and supply the best people. She has great insight from her experience in home health care over the years. We are very pleased with the women she decided were the best for our mom. It is very comforting knowing that your loved ones are taken care of when you aren't with them. I called them the day before a holiday weekend, in the evening, and at 11AM the next morning we had replacement care givers. We had the same two care givers the entire time we used their service, and they could not have been nicer or more caring. They put the other agency to shame with the amount of work they did with and for mom in the short time they were there - they never slowed down! I can highly recommend Compassion Home Care of Illinois for anyone needing live-in care. We will definitely reach out to them again if we need more assistance.
