The large crew arrived dressed in company uniforms and brought lots of safety equipment. They did a fantastic job! In one day, they ripped off the old shingles, replaced all the old plywood, and installed a beautiful new roof. They also did a great job cleaning up around the house. They were quick to respond a fix a portion that needed a little more care. They inspected one year later and called several times to make sure there were no issues. I contacted them again about a problem I was having with a portion of my gutters... the communication was very lacking. I had to reach out about 10 days after they did the estimate to check on it and they said oh he's on vacation so I never got an estimate from the first gentleman then they offered to send another estimator out and he gave me a completely different solution to the problem I was having so the one representative said to do one thing and the second representative said to do the opposite thing. A long period went by and then I had to make another call to check on the new estimate. My 30 year old roof had to go, and while this company was a little pricier than others, you get what you pay for. After several quotes for our roof, we went with the Home Evolution company. We replaced not only our roof but also our two skylights. The materials were delivered, installation was the next day and the guys installed the roof, the skylights, all as they promised. They started at 8 am and by 6:30 pm, all aspects including removal of debris was done. The color was great, however, we picked out the color. The roof was a great improvement to our home. Would I call them for another roof? If I had another property to repair, absolutely. I found less trash (2 tiny pieces of roof, 4 nails and some kind of sticky tape) on the grass after the installation than I did with our window replacement. Having a dog in the yard this was very important to me. Very happy with install and cleanup. read more

I own a property in Cohoes but live in Montana. Home Evolution is unwilling to work with me because I am not there in person. They are unwilling to work with my delegated POA or property manager, which makes absolutely no sense. I have never had a business unwilling to provide me an estimate for repairs, or perform a job simply because I do not live in the area. Especially during Covid, when traveling is as prohibitive as it is, businesses need to adapt to meet their clients needs. I had Home Evolution come out because I had a leak in my roof. They told me that my skylight was leaking, and they could re-seal it for $750. Within two weeks, it was leaking again. They came back and said that they could replace my whole roof for 24k. I wanted them to honor their warranty. They sent out the warranty guy, and he said I needed to do water testing to find out where the water was coming from. They did not return my calls after that. They also lied about why there were delays coming out to do the initial repair. They said the city hadn't approved the permit yet. I called the city, and they said no one had applied for a permit. I am very disappointed with this company. Upon buying a new house, our inspector flagged the roof. We had someone from Home Evolution come take a look at it. When my husband arrived, the roofer had already looked at the roof along with our realtor and was quickly told that the "roof was fine". We were told that the gutters would be damaged in the process and would cost $4000 to replace. We found a very reputable roofer to do the work for about $21,000. The most expensive skylight was a bit over $800. The gutters weren't damaged but if they had been the cost to replace them would have been $400. Asked me all of these questions including if I wanted a full roof replacement and was only interested in the job if it was. As soon as I said it was a leak, the usual excuse came out that due to the corona virus they don't have the man power to fix a leak and they were 6 months out on anyone coming. Basically, they didn't want to do a small job. These seems to be the trend with companies these days. They only want the big jobs and kick everyone else to the side. They told us that it would be within a few weeks before they could start our roof and they were able to come even sooner than that! We hired Home Evolution to replace our roof last summer. I waited almost a year to review because I wanted to go through a winter with it first. The cost was very reasonable but more so the work was excellent. They brought a huge crew out (10-15 people) and did the entire job, from tearing down and disposing of the old roof to installing the new one, in just over a day (they had to have 1 guy come back for 2h the next day to touch a few things up). The result is beautiful a very high quality product. They lose 1 star because there were some cleanup issues. They cleared all the nails and debris from the yard and driveway but missed the gutters, so the first time it rained afterwards a bunch of roof nails and debris flowed out into the grass, which I didn't find out about until my lawn mower started throwing nails around, and I spent an hour cleaning it up. In fairness though, when called them the next day, they were​ ready​ to send someone out that evening to clean up but I had already took care of it myself. They were extremely apologetic and instead they sent me $100 check for my time and having to deal with it (their idea, not mine). I would absolutely recommend them for future work. read more

Home Evolution came to Hudson to give us a quote on 3 separate sections of roof on our home, they get right into their work, taking photo's of the entire roof, taking the time to go over all aspects of the repair/replacement procedures. their quote was much more reasonable then the other 2 local companies. materials were delivered when stated, they came with a team that worked together quite well on the time and date scheduled, they completed the job, no debris were left behind, including nails, some debris had fallen down onto our jaccuzi cover and put a large gash In it, they asked what the cost would be to replace it, and deducted it from the final bill, we had some ice/water back up leaks on one of the smaller sections of roof, then came 2 winters in a row to make the repairs from Albany to Hudson at no charge, finally they came and replaced the entire small section of roof, I don't see how these guys even made any money on this job ! again they did it all at no charge ! We can't say enough about them! Igor came out and gave us a quote on 5/12 and took several pictures and video from on top of the roof and he highlighted the issues. Igor returned 5/14 at our request so we could get the financing started. I received a call from Dimitri to let me know they had an opening in the schedule for 5/26 at 7AM and they would drop off the supplies 5/25. The supplies were delivered on schedule and the next morning they showed up at 7AM on the nose as promised with a crew of about 5-6 men. They tarped off the entire yard up to the gutters and started the removal of the old roof by 7:15. They had finished scraping off our 1700 sq ft roof by 8:05 and began the installation. They finished the entire job and were gone by 12:15 PM. The yard was immaculate, we searched high and low and not a single nail was missed. They were exactly on time for when they said they would come for the estimate, and said that while our roof did need some repairs from the look of the previous repairs my husband had done, it looked like he could handle the repairs we need at much lower cost than having them come out and do it.
