Home Fair is the ONLY place to go if you need any photos printed, VHS or DVD's transferred, or photos or artwork framed. Their work is of the highest quality and they are extremely knowledgable. Really very bad experience when you don't go to spend a lot of money ($400 Digital cameras they're very nice). Go ask some simple questions correct a kid's school project where you don't know difference of films and you get hautiness and leaving poor woman at register answering more technical questions. Home Fair is a great resource and over the past month, they transferred an array of CDs and home video tapes in different formats to easy-to-watch usb drives. I'd wanted to do this for a long time but was reluctant to mail the tapes in case they got lost. Home Fair has a drive-up window and I simply dropped them off there without worry. They did a great job at a very fair price. Also did the same with some slides from the 1960s. Highly recommend! Had a great first experience at Home Fair! I went in looking to get pictures from my phone enlarged to poster size prints, which is not always an easy thing to do. Sorry to have to write this - - I am very disappointed with this business. I dropped off some old family slides (from the 1960's-70's) to be made into prints on a Saturday a few weeks ago. There were about 40 slides. The store called me to tell me they were ready that afternoon. I couldn't make it back that day but returned later that week to pick them up. No one could find hem...they were gone. They claimed that someone else had picked them up with their order and that surely they would realize it was not theirs and return them. It is now 3 weeks later and I still have no slides and no prints. They do not keep records of any kind of the orders that were processed and picked up, so there's no way of me investigating or following up with someone who may have inadvertently received. I'm really saddened by this. These were photos of my deceased parents and my family that were to be used in an album for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Irreplaceable. Message to Home Fair Camera - time to find a filing system that works so you can provide the right service to your customers and not lose important family photos that can never be replaced. read more

Very patient and good service. I had to get a passport photo for my two week old baby and they were super patient and professional. It took a long time as his eyes had to be open and his head facing the camera and the worker was very helpful and got a great photo in the end. They didn't even complain about my two year old running around the store while we dealt with the photo. Perhaps because I needed passport pictures for my children, 15 minutes before closing, I got rushed and rude service. My child can not see without eyewear and was told to take glasses off because "you don't wear glasses in passport pictures". I told the sales person prior passports and my own passports have always had corrective I wear, but person insisted she knows the rules, not I. When I did not like the picture because, well, my kid was not able to look at camera, I was told "YOU don't have to like it". 1- my kid will have this passport for years! Yes, I have to like it. 2- this is my money I'm spending. Pleasing me with 30 more seconds of your time is too much? 3- you CAN wear RXed glasses in your PP picture, unless the glasses have glare. It took a lot for me to bite my tongue. I'm not new to traveling internationally. Quality was good though. Won't dissuade people from going. Parking is good. Other child's picture came out just fine. As a professional photography, I can't say good good things about Home Fair Camera. Whenever I need proofs, a big print for a Wedding Photo board, or a quick scan of some old photos they are my go to photo lab. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I always refer my clients to Home Fair Camera without hesitation. Just recently, a client lost a loved one and needed some old photos scanned and blown up to posters and put on boards for the funeral service. On super short notice, Home Fair Camera to rescue and created a lovely and tasteful photo tribute to the deceased. Home Fair camera is a class act all around. read more

I came here to buy a frame and to print out some pictures so that I could arrange a nice gift for my Aunt's birthday that same night. After choosing the frame (they do have a great selection of frames), I ask how I go about printing pictures. The woman behind the counter tells me I can't access my email so I have to upload them via my phone. Okay, fine, seems reasonable. I spend a few minutes transferring the photos to my camera roll on my iphone. But then I spend a good 10-15 minutes fighting with their computers trying to get them to recognize my phone so I can upload the pictures. The computers don't seem to be working in this respect. So I go back to the counter and am ignored for a few minutes by the staff who seem to have disappeared. Then, the lady behind the counter offers to help me, and sure enough, two of the computers aren't working and can't recognize pictures on iphones. She does get the third computer to work. But then it freezes while I'm trying to choose my photos. The lady from behind the counter doesn't know what to do and after maybe 5-10 minutes, the guy who seems to be the manager or something is on his way out. He has to restart the computer and I have to wait for a while for the thing to reboot. Then I have to wait for the program to restart. This guy is clearly on his way out and does not seem to want to stay around and help. He leaves. At this point, probably 30 or 45 minutes have gone by since I started trying to upload the photos. So, then, finally, I am able to choose the photos I want to print. It's prior to closing time, so I know I've got to go fast. I choose the photos and then go to pay, and the lady behind the counter yells to some guy in the back about printing the photos. Nope, they can't do it. The machine is off. They are closed. The guy in the back explains that the machine runs on a timer and since they are closed there's now no way to print. I needed the photos that night. So, after wasting about an hour total at this place and fighting with out of date crappy photo technology, I get no photos. I subsequently went to Walgreens and did the whole thing in under 5 minutes. This place gets two stars instead of one because the lady behind the counter was nice enough and tried to help me. That being said, the other employees there seemed annoyed at my requests and like they just wanted to get out of there. However, the worst problem here is that this place has outdated technology that does not function. Really, computers that can't recognize a device on a USB cord? (At a minimum, they might have put a sign up to inform me that two of the computers didn't work so i didn't waste my time) Computers that freeze in the middle of picking out photos? A printing machine that shuts off on a timer and literally CANNOT print when the customer who has been there for an hour is finishing up right as you close? Look, i'm a fan of local businesses over chains, but they have to offer good services. This place needs to upgrade their technology and care a little more about the customers. Next time I need photos, i'm just going to Walgreens. read more
