Speedy and friendly service! Dropped in yesterday with 11 old rolls of film(early 2000) had no hope of getting anything but grainy images back if anything. Customer Service is everything these days, especially when your field is so easily replaced by a few clicks with online ordering. Asked a pretty simple question of recommendation in which I clearly needed guidance. I received a short response reiterating that my request was vague. (It really wasn't) I was asking for ideas and pricing on having a picture printed on something as a memorial for someone. I asked if they had a website or flyer showing what they can do with pricing but he wasn't having it. I left there questioning what just happened?! Rude & dismissive, define my experience here. Came here on a whim awhile ago all the way from Holbrook to develop some film while in the area visiting a friend. I was welcomed and walked through prices and the process thoroughly. I found out through conversation with the woman behind the counter is also from Holbrook! She gave me a cool sticker from their store which i still have on one of my water bottles. Rockville Camera is our savior! After waiting on edits to a memorial photograph for our late father, we needed to print the photo to 11x14. The place we contacted was scheduled to be open but when we arrived they had already closed for the day (2:30) without advance notice. In a panic, we called other photo businesses to get the photo printed today since most places are closed on Sunday and Monday is a holiday (and the funeral). Helene was great and said to upload the photo to their website with a short note that she was expecting the order and guaranteed that it would be done by 4:30. Within an hour, we got the text notifying us that the print was ready. When we arrived, the staff (sorry I didn't catch her name) saw the photo and immediately realized what the photo was for and expressed her condolences and remarked how she loved our father's smile in the photo. I always have bad experiences with photographs as I'm always nervous and nothing comes out right. Today was a totally different and extremely positive experience for me thanks to Helene at Rockville Camera. Her patience and expertise was on full display as she made sure the lighting was right, that I was positioned at the right angle and only when I was fully relaxed did she take the photos. This review is actually for the service I did NOT get, vs any service I received. I walked into the store to see if I could get my camera fix. The very nice woman who met me at the counter took a look at the camera, asked me some questions and then gave me her advice which involved NOT having the camera fixed through the store. The age of my camera and the new technology that is out there made her confide in me that the cost of the repair would be more effective to the purchase of a new camera once mine finally bites the dust. The guy at Rockville Camera who helped me was great. He assisted with picking out custom frames for two pieces I brought in, an aged antique-looking map and a painting of an outdoor scene. He was super-patient and knowledgeable, and both pieces came out looking absolutely awesome. I also brought in several battered/frayed posters for framing, and he advised on cutting them down in certain places to preserve the posters and make them look as good as possible in their frames. I'd go back for any other framing or photo projects that come up. This store is fantastic. read more

My husband and I went to Rockville Camera on a recommendation to have something important framed. The owner, Mark, helped us out and was fantastic. He patiently worked with us as we discussed various mat colors, and then many different types of frames. He gave us his professional opinion, but was not pushy. Our order was complete in a week, and the entire store staff could not be friendlier. They even gave us a bit of a discount. I would definitely come here again for framing. We lost our baby girl in September & the hospital sent us home w/a throw away camera w/pictures of our daughter. It took a little while to find a local place that still develops these types of pictures. It's also a delicate matter & I was too nervous sending it out to be developed. Helene was wonderful...she didn't push me to share too much she was very caring about the pictures & I just knew they were in good hands. She said we could have the pictures back w/in an hour. My husband & I ran a few errands & came back 2 hours later & they were already & waiting for us. We will be sure to let others know that this shop exists, not only are they kind & caring w/sensitive situations, they also got the film to us right away. I find the owners and employees to be patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They are patient and really do their best to accomodate. In the past I developed photos in other places near my home, but after working with Rockville Camera I will only go there. Well worth the trip.
