I love this store. The location is perfect and theres always parking. They have a wide variety of things from toys, to kitchen accessories to candles. I always end up buying more than what I originally planned but the prices are reasonable so its not a big deal. The shelves are always organized and stocked. Theres never a problem finding a staff member to help you, their spread out throughout the store and are ready to help you. All the experiences I've had shopping here have been lovely, never an issue. The lines move pretty quickly, they do their best to get you in and out. read more

This store is downstairs but it is packed with many things!! I can't believe the amount of products that have and the variety. I round hats, party items, kitchen items, laundry items and so even beauty items. I think it's a place worth going to get new home products and seeing what deals they have in there. I personally love the service of the cashier, she was so lovely and treated me with respect and kindness. She even gave customers a thank you candy. I will definitely be returning! read more

I'm not certain why it took me so long to review this store, especially since I come here anytime I'm having an event. Their selection of party wares are unbelievable and unbeatable! I've compared their selection from big box stores to dollar stores. However, the price points and quality at this store are great! I'm not certain where they obtain their supplies, but they tend to have high quality products at unbelievable prices time and time again. This store sells a variety of things like a Tuesday Morning store but not as many household items, but they do carry a decent selection (ie: plates, food processors, buffet warmers, etc.). In addition they have baking and cooking accessories. The store is divided into easy to navigate sections. Up the ramp to the right are household/ entertainment items. Down the ramp to the left are toys and crafting items. Going into this store is almost like going into Michael's, I can get lost in it as you never know what you might unearth. read more

I had to deal with John the manager for a very large order of over 2,500.00. He was very short with me and told me that I am unable to buy all of those products and leave the shelves empty. The products consist of plates, silverware, platters coffee cups, bowls. I have purchased these products from that store for 3 years now for an event. But this year I guess he had a bad day.. sorry for him. It was a big loss for one day sale. I WILL NEVER GO BACK IN THAT STORE AGAIN.. HE LOST MY BUSINESS. read more

You can find good deals here but the employees here are just awful. The woman behind the customer service line asked us to go to another line because she claims she is just customer service and not a cashier. After we left she then proceeded to take customers from the very line she told us to go to. Why would you send us away just to take other customers right after. I confronted her and instead or apologizing or recognizing her error she called me rude. The manager needs to train their staff on how to properly treat their customers. If not, make sure you assign employees based on their skills. This woman apparently needs to be assigned to stocking inventory only because she had zero customers skills. Amazing Savings is what it is. What you can expect that is happy -- things are cheap, cheap, cheap. Great place to buy no name items at great discounts. What you can expect that is not so happy -- do not expect customer service. There is almost nobody walking the aisles. If you buy something in poor condition, they are not going to happily take a return -- make sure it is clean and unopened before you buy. Returns kill margins. Here is a classic bad example. I called asking if they carried the "Rainbow Loom" as I needed one for a gift. They said yes, many in stock. I went there 30 minutes later. No, they don't carry it -- they have a cheap knockoff instead. So buyer beware, don't trust them. But it is cheap. read more

Fantastic deals! Just went here to make a quick shop for party decorations. I went on line and this Indian worker rudely told me to take my items out of the basket. She then told me to hurry up since her shift already ended and she was tired and wanted to go home. Girl I just ended my work shift too and here I am! As I was about to leave a girl went on line after and she told her to leave since she's leaving in such a rude manner! The woman replied... "i'm just trying to pass because I'm leaving." The sales help was extremely honest. I wanted a certain item and he told me that it would not be what I wanted and not to take it - a plug for a microwave; I would have grabbed it! The junk store, as we call this place, is dirty, poorly lit, and the staff is not helpful; but boy oh boy is it cheap. My updated review after 5 years.... well, they have seasonal stuff like Christmas, Hanukkah which are very helpful. Their everyday stuff... the quality and the quantity went down. However, before going to a regular price store, it is worth checking this place out. Friday hours is 8-3pm. I have had a shock of my life as I counted on this place and went there 3:15pm on Friday and realizing, "OMG! I have to wait till Sunday!" My go-to place for inexpensive gift wrap, gift bags, scrap booking supplies and plenty of other goodies. A lot's been said about the dinginess of the place. Well, surprise! They recently made improvements and rearranged the store. Switched out the old cash desks for new ones and reconfigured the selling floor. The result is a more organized and easier to shop in facility. The lighting seems better, too. I always go to Amazing Savings before going upstairs to JoAnn's. I purchased some brand name vegetable peelers for a quarter of the suggested retail price printed on the packaging. I also, without any problem, had someone help me when I couldn't find what I was looking for. The company is owned by observant religious people and therefore they close early on Fridays and completely close on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. read more

Great prices, but the manager is so arrogant and has no customer service skills. I was purchasing some items that were priced for 1.99. At the register, they came out to 2.99. I told the cashier that I did not want them because I thought they were 1.99. The manager had to come and delete them. As I was exiting I stopped to check item price and there was the manager changing the price. I immediately said to him I knew I wasn't crazy I did see 1.99. He proceeded to tell me that I did not let them finish pricing them that 1.99 was the smaller ones that were there before. I could not believe that he would blame me for the mistake. Of course, I then became very upset and told him that I did not know this and that he is very arrogant. A good manager would have apologized and granted the price end of story. This is not the first time this man has been rude and arrogant with me. I asked for a phone number to call and complain. A fellow worker said he is the only person in charge that I have to speak to him. I asked him for his name and a phone number. I called and no answer left a message. Let's see if I get a callback. Waiting in line to get pay, two people in front of me and out of nowhere cashier decided to take other lady from other line and when asked her if she cant see me, she started to be rude and telling me there is no line unless i have returns. while making my rounds around white plains and the vicinity i made a stop at amazing savings in scarsdale on central ave and as soon i was riding the escalator to the main lower level i recalled that i have been here before a bunch a years ago when it was job lot or some other name store with the same theme of discount stuff for home , etc. it's still owned by the same folks who close before sundown on fridays and totally dark on saturday for jewish observant . it really does not matter as i here to pick up some household items and a few other nik naks. the interior is simple and products are layed out in sections which is clearly marked . prices are not that bad and quality is a step above the dollar store kind. plenty of toys and artsy crafty stuff for the budget and frugal folks . they carry a little of everything here so i recommend go aisle to aisle , section to section and fill up your cart and head to one of the open cashiers and go on your way. read more
