If you are reading this review, it is because you are looking for a similar service and probably already know that most irrigation places are booked for months in advance, if they even bother calling back, or if your job is even worth it to them. With that said, AMJ said they can do my big job within a few days. They always answered when I called, and I was able to talk directly with the owner. Everything I asked of them they said it wasn't a problem, which typically is not something to be nervous about had I not been in contact with at least 10-14 other places (no exaggeration) and all of the questions I had for the other companies was in fact going to be a problem for them. AMJ was saying it wasn't a problem, so I was super worried why they were the only ones saying otherwise. So on to the business end of things. Agustin, and Diana were always great to work with over the phone. They seemed to understand what we needed and anytime there was a problem, it was fixed right away. There were a couple things that needed to be cleared up 1st before the job started that I felt was the beginning of the end, but like I said, it was fixed immediately. Ahead of the work beginning, and every-time we turned around, there was a problem with the construction process for our house which would put a big setback for all of our contractors. AMJ was understanding and accommodating. They even sent their guys over a little at a time in between our other contractors sorting their BS out. The owner came to the site to look around for himself. I thought he did the work but it looks like he just manages everything. However, he has a good on-site senior installer there to do the work and supervise others. The installers spoke English well and were friendly and presented themselves as knowledgeable and professional. They worked efficiently. The job was done without any installation problems. There was one avoidable problem we had with them that was aggravating. We told them we needed to have a backflow preventor on our system and they kept telling us we didn't. Well, we did, as the permit department mandated. I also told them we needed to have the permit papers on site prior to starting work and they didn't and as such, we couldn't pass inspection. They made all corrections in a very timely manner so it worked out. We had a failure of one of the electronic valves almost immediately. I called on a Friday and was told they would have someone come out ASAP and they did. The failure wasn't their fault I don't think. The next problem was when the pump connections swelled and basically exploded. They said I closed the water valves and that's why it happened. I definitely did no such thing because I have no clue what any of that stuff was and didn't touch anything. They came out right away to fix it. The last issue was the exact thing happened again. This time, it was my fault because I reprogramed the timer for the well pump and had them set on zones I did not have. The pump had nowhere to send the water and overheated the water and blew out the pipes. Definitely my fault. They came out right away again. I would use them for future projects.
