I had called a number of well known landscapers on Angie's lis,t and they never even bothered to come or if they did, they never submitted a proposal. I was discouraged. Then I looked on Yelp and found Matt. He arrived on time and gave me an estimate quickly. He was courteous and polite and when after the work was complete there was a problem with the sprinkler system , he came over right away and fixed it. Matt was quick to respond, very responsive to my texts, and he left my yard neat and cleaned up. All great things I appreciated. However, when he and I discussed the size of the rocks I wanted for my landscaping (which was a large area), I requested large river rocks which he said would not be a problem. Once I got home from work and saw the rocks he chose, they were the small rocks that I didn't want. When I texted him he said he couldn't get the large rocks in bulk but he never told me that and just used the smaller rocks. In addition, I had asked him to come back and install trim to an area so that the rocks wouldn't go on the sidewalk. He said he would return & even provided a quote (although I'm sure this was included in the original quote) and I agreed to it. He never came back and completed that portion of the job. Disappointed. UPDATE: Matt contacted me after my review posted and was very apologetic for the miscommunication. He came back the very next day and installed the trim to the area that needed it and I was pleased with it. Unfortunately, there wasn't much he could do to replace the smaller rocks with the larger rocks I initially requested due to the very large area that required rocks. I do believe Matt is an honest businessman who desires to satisfy the customers he serves. read more

This company was the biggest disappointment I have ever experienced here in Florida. I read all the fantastic reviews (which I must question their legitimacy)My Landscaping needed to be freshened up & trimmed. All of my bushes were chopped to being unrecognizable. Matt came off like a good Christian man when I initially hired him. He got sick & left my job 2 days in a row. When he would leave his workers laid around my yard on the phone & picked up furniture my neighbors were throwing away. I called him to question what was going on & he told me "he was in bed with his wife" at 6PM. How disrespectful!!! He texted me later & accused me that I was trying not to pay him. (I never have not paid a bill) I won't use his language, out of respect for people who may read this. I have to replace 30% of my butchered bushes, and have several of my sprinkler heads replaced, after I spent almost $6,000. Called for a consultation and Matt returned my call promptly. He visited our house and asked many questions about what we were looking for. We told him to come up with a design and we can talk. With a few days he gave us sketches of his vision. After we spoke he made a few minor changes and we were ready to go! Soon a small army arrived and over 3 days, transformed our home. Out with the old & in with the new! Instead of the usual mulch, grey slate chips served were placed as a foundation. Plants were strategically placed to enhance the outline of the area. The outcome is a beautiful, clean, modern look that we would have never designed on our own. Matt & his team are professional, thoughtful and honest. Finding the right company to work with to remove a tree after a hurricane can be stressful. Matt was quick to get back with me, easy to talk to, and I never doubted that he had my best interest at heart. I found Matt to be very responsive to texts and emails and he was always reliable. He promised that he would make our landscaping look beautiful and he did in fact design a beautiful front yard for us. I was so happy and impressed that I was considering using his company for maintenance. However, I was forced to reconsider any further business with Matt. Unfortunately, I was left with the feeling that Matt places more stock in what the "supervisor" of his team says than in what the customer is reporting. His "supervisor" messed up and provided landscaping work to my neighbors home because the GPS told him to stop there, I'm not sure why he didn't confirm the address on the home before starting the work but never the less I was sent an invoice for work that was never completed at my house. I brought it to Matt's attention and he promptly had the team return to my house. The "supervisor" apologized however also disclosed that he wanted to celebrate his birthday the day he messed up and went to my neighbor's house so his head was not completely on the work. I asked him about trimming one of the smaller palms and he stated that it didn't need a trim which didn't sit well with me but I trusted Matt and figured he would do right by us if there were things that didn't "need" to be done when completing an invoice. A few weeks later I received an invoice for the same amount of the initial invoice that was completed for the work at my neighbor's home in error - my neighbor has much more landscaping needs than we do so I assumed the invoice was sent to me again in error. When I inquired Matt responded that the work was completed and the amount was correct. Of course, I could have discussed it further with Matt but I feel that his "supervisor" doesn't honestly report the amount of work that he completed at a home and Matt did not take the initiative to look into my concerns which I thought was his responsibility to me as the customer. I'm very disappointed as it's been difficult to find companies that I can work with long term as I prefer to be a loyal customer and a mutually respectful relationship. read more

Mathew is a friendly person. He is knowledgeable, BUT I think he should stand by his work. I had work done and some of the plants died and some are not growing. He refused to replace these plants which would be not more than $50-75. Very disappointed as after spending more than expected, Mathew would not stand behind the plants.
