I spoke with Cheryl in their office, begging her to send a nurse to look at it even though I saw one just two days ago. I have a hx of cellulitis in that leg, even from small wounds like that and I am a diabetic. She refused, saying "it's not a thing." Cheryl kept talking over me and refused to shut up so I hung up on her. I even swore at her, which I wish I didn't do but I am scared about what could happen to me. My next scheduled nursing visit is in 5 days. A lot can happen in 5 days. As a medical professional she should know this! The front of the folder they gave me says "Call us first. We may be able to help you avoid unplanned hospitalizations if we know you need our help." That's a big fat lie. I wouldn't recommend Centerwell Home Health to my worst enemy, even my ex-husband.

Not to mention if you are working with certain cases they pull you off the case sending you to another client and leaving the other without coverage and then proceed to tell you "oh they will be alright I will just call the client to say that it was my fault and that they double booked the caregiver ... I worked here for 3 years 5 months and it was done to multiple of my patients/clients that I was caring for ; at times interim would not even notify the patient/client that they will not have any coverage ..Interim healthcare is the worse..They don't just leave the able bodied patient/client without coverage they also leave 2 of my bed ridden patients/clients without coverage and the family members did not know their loved ones with not have coverage had they not called/ text interim healthcare and they were with with we don't have anyone to send over to your home at the moment ..When the clients/patients complain and ask to speak to higher authority they are always met with " they are not available or you can send and email..I also had to purchase all my gloves out of my own pocket . I was working with a client that had c.diff and no protective gear was provided , when I called the office Ashley said she was not informed about that . When I called the nurse she said she forgot to drop off the protective gears for us the caregivers working with the client. Again I ordered my own out of pocked from Amazon . When I work I always try my best to be early when I clock in at 2:56 for my 3:00 shift at the end of the day 11:00 when I clock my time was altered from 2:56 to direct 3:00 o clock , when I complained about it my days was cut stating that the company could not keep paying me for the overtime hours that I was working ... Honestly I don't know why I ever expected better from a company that has no integrity or respect for their employees or their clients ...

The paperwork is something that is taken care of through a third party vendor and all payments we made were through our credit card. Michael and Erica took care of the scheduling, no worries on whether someone would be there as we needed them. As for the home health care aides, each one in turn was professional and kind, well versed in the needs of the elderly. I would be happy to provide an individual reference for any one of the home health aides we worked with. Each one in turn treated our Dad with dignity and our Mom with respect and kindness. They are highly recommended.

Poor worker vetting process and poor accountability. Playing favorites with employees at the cost of care contracts rather than scrutinizing caregiver practices. Caregiver training and and norms are not standard and appropriate knowledge is just assumed. If you are placing a caregiver in an environment where no one will bother checking in on the client and what's being provided, this could be a fit for you and those unfortunate clients. But if your client/patient/loved one is important enough that care quality will be monitored, and/or you need timely turnaround on paperwork/documents save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.
