We asked for a quiet end of corridor room and were given one however it overlooked the side of a square and thus we thought it could be noisy....how wrong we were. The glazing is superb and despite having two doors out to balcony we heard nothing. The room was compact but very well designed having enough furniture to be useful but none to get in the way. The small bathroom had a deep tub with excellent shower over it. A small fridge kept my quickly delivered small jug of fresh milk cool. We travel with our own tea bags so did not use the in room espresso machine on this occasion. The bed with an excellent king mattress, pillows and linen were top notch. It is rare to find such a good selection of pillows in a hotel these days. Most importantly the room preparation crew did an excellent job and the whole hotel was spotless. Being give some custard tarts, a small bottle of port upon arrival and a bottle of red vino for our last night were lovely touches. ALL the staff we came across were friendly and helpful and the waiters in the restaurant were delightful and chatty in the best way. We ate in the bar one night and found the selection of foods to be very interesting and tasty. Breakfast buffet was exceptionally managed and never looked unkept or swamped and provided a plethora of foods including some excellent yoghurt in little glass jars as well as a impressive selection of hot and cold food. Would we return....you bet as the hotel is central to most of the sights in Lisbon and right opposite the train station for trains to Sintra. We left for the short taxi ride to the airport and hour too early as Lisbon airport which was exceptionally busy, seemed able to cope with hordes of passengers until you get to your boarding gate where seats are at a minimum.

The room was on the smaller side, but the amenities in the room were nice. They will provide bottled water daily. The rooftop deck has a nice view and I could see relaxing here after a long day of sightseeing. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which was excellent. There is no gym, but they do offer access to another gym in the area.

There is easy bus access, and they are happy to help you at the desk. They gave me 2 very helpful maps of Lisbon and I met some incredible people. The aerobus from the airport leaves you about a block from the hostel. It is really safe, and they give you a lock and key. You have a key card to get into your room. They have different events and get together a each night so you can see the city with the people from the hostel. They had a wine night, chorizo night, and a drink from the keg until you're wasted night. Safe to say it was really fun and definitely worth it. Lisbon is gorgeous, and I'm so glad I stayed at this hostel!

As we were walking, we got turned around and called the hotel to let them know that we couldn't figure it out and one of the front desk's associates actually came out to find us and walk us back to the hotel even helping us with our luggage on the walk back to the hotel. If you're visiting Lisbon and want to be located in an area that has so much to offer and with so much energy, I would recommend this hotel

Everything you need is within walking distance, be it the metro, bus stops, mall (Ingles Corte) or restaurants and cafes. Keep in mind that if you're exploring the city, nearby shops tend to close relatively early.

The Fine hotel welcome gift was three maroons each representing different tastes of locations in Portugal with a small bottle of port - really nice welcome gift! For night lights, if you leave the closet door open, the light is motion activated and the vanity mirror light can be left on. The shower was in the tub with high sides. There is a toilet and separate bidet. My two dislikes were: It was difficult to get to the toilet unless you closed the bathroom door or squeezed around the door, since the toilet was behind the door. The other was the shower - you had to get into the tub to turn on the water, so you are likely to get some cold water on you unless you knew exactly how to adjust the various knobs so the water came out of the handheld showerhead vs the overhead shower or the faucet. I appreciated the Nespresso espresso maker and refrigerator and bottles of water. I also appreciated the new boxes of tissues when I showed an empty box due to my cold/bronchitis. Wonderfully plush slippers - I think the best I have felt in any hotel. The hotel is on the "Champs-Élysées" Portugal version street with luxury stores and tented vendors on the weekends. It is a short walk, 10 minutes, to the Parque Edwardo VII park where the Hop On/Hop Off and Cityrama Gray Line tour buses are located. I was impressed by the breakfast buffet every day and the staff. We came first thing and also one day towards the end - the food was always fresh, refreshed, and delicious - with eggs, breakfast meats, cold cuts, cheeses, waffles, and beautiful fresh, sliced fruit and several fruit juices. We loved it so much that we cancelled another reservation for our 5 night return to Lisbon and instead, stayed here again. The first room was a standard well appointed room, king bed, beautiful Marble bathroom. We returned to the Suite Castle View with majestic views of the S. Jorge Castle, illuminated with sunshine in the day, and lights at night. You step off of the street, that is closed to traffic and set up for dining, into a warm, cozy den like "lobby" that does not resemble a traditional concierge at all. Dark wood, red velvet chairs, plants all set the visual for the smoky Spotify playlist and walls filled with oversized, trendy books of people, places, objects. Staff is laid back & accommodating. The area would be considered touristy, but all of the streets are closed to traffic for blocks in every direction, giving the area the feeling of community with table after table and lovely burst of fire from the heaters. Rarely would we eat in a hotel, but their menu was great and food impressive. Twice we had breakfast which was hosted at their close other Browns Central and it was lovely. We loved it here, highly recommended. No where else we would have rather been after walking every inch of the area. We will not be returning to Lisbon so quickly, but if we did, it would be right back to Browns Boutique.

It was so incredibly beautiful. The hotel is centrally located & easy to get around. There were lots of shops, restaurants & gelato stands just steps from the hotel. Other adults went to the final formal wedding in afternoon and evening in Sintra, and I stayed to watch the children. They were on their best behavior and enjoyed pool, pool deck, beach, and room service for dinner. The breakfast each morning in the beautiful restaurant was fantastic. While this is definitely an "adult" hotel and not so geared to children, we made it work--and they behaved with good manners. The service is A-plus. Stunning views everywhere!

I engaged in a colossal waste of time simply trying to change my reservation at this hotel, only to learn its partner "Luxury Escapes" is somehow connected to third-party booking agent Expedia. This is not disclosed on "Luxury Escapes" website. Deceptive? The Albatroz staff throw their hands in the air and claim they cannot help you change a reservation. I decided not to re-book a future stay at this hotel based on this interaction. Beware-- if you book thru "Luxury Escapes" you may actually be dealing with a restrictive third-party agent, and this hotel will not help you unwind that.
