The Caipirinha You can see the obvious joy as he shakes the cocktail before pouring into a glass If I could offer 1 single -observation, the garnishes served with beverages in this lounge should be more impressive. Simple things such as sugared rims on glasses, more fruit garnishing, and offer a Bloody Mary with garnishes that knock your socks off. Truly the management of this hostel in the center of Chiado are doing an impressive job.

Kicked off our stay in Europe with Good Morning Hostel, and literally just climbing up those…read morenotorious stairs, we were greeted with the sounds of hip hop and invitations to go out (it was nearing 10:30pm on a Friday night and they were all ready to party). Apparently there is free happy hour with sangria and beer every day from 7-8pm! Clearly, a lively crowd of young adults predominately. No complaints. Bunk bed style with privacy curtains, per usual, which comes with two hooks just outside to hang your clothes/towels/etc. The rooms seemed to be mixed, as I shared space with two other females and 4 males. I will say that having ear plugs worked like a charm because there are some snorers.... Having air conditioning we can control is so prime in Europe! What a blessing! Bathrooms and showers are dormitory style, by at least they have hair dryers ready for your use! I will note that I think there could be a way to better ventilate the place though, because it did somewhat smell of body odor particularly towards the end of the day. I think my nose just got used to it and I forced myself to sleep. Favorite part? BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED, and a delicious one, too: waffles with powdered sugar, Portuguese sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, coffee, orange juice. I miss it already. Okay, I lied, maybe I have other favorites: (1) Sintra Tour and (2) Walking Tours (which are free!) Sintra Tour: at first we didn't think much of it, but after learning about Sintra, we figured why not go with the hostel. WHAT A GREAT DAY! Transportation was all figured out and we explored a castle, went to the beach, ate like locals. Learned a bunch of history and fun facts. It did cost, but well worth every euro. Walking tour of Lisbon: highly recommend, also because it is FREE (we did tip our guide, Sophia, at the end because she is SO KNOWLEDGABLE and had the best recommendations). Great way to get your bearings of the city. We also did the pub crawl: might as well try it once, right? Plus, comes with drinks. You'll need to pay between 12-15 euro, but hey, why not! Overall, HIGHLY recommend this charming hostel.

Words can't cannot express how much fun I had here. Their sangria tastes like sangria and their beer tastes like something else but pretty refreshing. Like, I was refreshed after drinking it and taking a shower helped too. Their showers are pretty refreshing. Washing my hands here was refreshing too. I was brushing my teeth weekly and I felt refreshed after that too. I started reading my review and I noticed I started a sentence with 'but' - I don't like that rule so I going to keep doing this way so it eventually catches on, I wish I could hashtag that but I don't know how to use hashtags. Lastly, I noticed people don't say good morning that much here but they do say good night a lot but I thought that was a different hostel, other than that, I enjoyed myself.

Turim Hotel was a cut above most that I have stayed in. It felt classy. Dignified. I felt like I was important, and I would be taken care of. The staff were well dressed, sharp and courteous. The hotel design was elegant and made me feel like I was being welcomed in. The room was chic and well laid out. I felt very much at home there. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Dinner was a juicy steak. The location, makes for a great hike up a steady hill from the waterfront with so much to see along the way. I recommend coming home to this hotel if it is in your budget.

We weren't in the room for long as we quickly changed, headed out to dinner, and by the time we came back, it was time to go to sleep for our flight the next morning. Overall, they have an amazing staff, but the hotel really needs some TLC.

One can get stuck behind a group and wait forever for an elevator. Other than that, we had a genuinely excellent stay. The room is comfortably sized and set up well. We were on the 17th floor with a skyline view. Pockets of the hotel are particularly pretty. My favorite is the back garden area. There are places to get a drink or simply visit. Breakfast can be chaotic when a tour group(s) is also there, but they manage well. The food choices are abundant; the cut fruits such as papaya were ripe and delicious. Coffee and drinks are delivered to the table. The location is good but not great. It is near a train station and a grocery store. Several restaurants are within easy walking distance, though not many. More options are a 20 minutes' walk away. Taking an uber is easier.

After a tumultuous travel to even get to Lisbon, arriving at Corinthia felt like a breath of fresh air. Our flight was delayed by a whole day and they were able to adjust our reservation to start one day over at no extra charge which was really appreciated! With our CC, we were able to get a room upgrade with a corner suite. The room was fantastic, modern, clean and the bathroom had a shower and tub. They have a turndown service to prep your bed at night and leave some lavender on top too! Small trinkets in the room like water, egg tarts, and more was available. The location is not the best from the main tourist area, and there isn't a ton to see in the area, but they do have a free shuttle that takes you downtown that we were able to use. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel too! We were able to dine at one but around the holidays, the other restaurant we wanted to try was closed both nights for private events. Their room service was actually quite good (and fast!) too! The hotel breakfast has a nice spread as well! It was included in our stay so I felt that it was worth! There's a small tunnel that our taxi driver swooped us down to and there we were in front of Memmo. A small hotel with a stunning view of Lisbon. The front desk, specifically Leonardo, was very helpful and Bruno brought our suitcases to us while acclimating us to the hotel and our lovely Superior Family Room. It was well equipped with everything we wanted plus a cute little dessert tray welcoming us. So happy I picked this place for our second time in Lisbon.
