The thing is, we have a gap in our hardwood. We'd hoped to patch it with the same kind of wood, or something similar enough that it wouldn't stand out *too* much if we filled in the gap. The problem? We didn't know what kind of wood it was. D'oh. Here, this Lumber Liquidators was awesome. We came in, asked about their "scrap" wood (because we only needed two square feet, tops) and to see if they could identify the wood from a loose piece. They immediately recognized what kind it was, and were very informative about their scrap flooring. In the end, they didn't have what we needed. But they were quick, polite, and efficient in answering all of our questions and hearing what we wanted/needed. They told us about their products and services, answered our questions, and let us check out the inventory a bit. No hard sell, not even a second's hesitation - they were great. I will be back when we need to re-floor something larger, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone looking at flooring!

We only sell locally through our showroom or plumbing counter sales. Me: Do you sell to individuals? I called the Batesville store and was told I was out of luck. Sanders: Yes, but we do not sell on-line. We sell to builders and homeowners in the Hot Springs and surrounding areas through our showroom. Me: Do you have the items in online ID XXX in stock? Sanders: No, sorry we do not stock those items. Me: Can I special order them? If so what's the lead time? If I can special order, can you take a CC number over the phone? Sanders: Again, sorry we can not special order those items and we do not take credit card orders over the phone. It was pulling teeth trying to get useful information. I never asked if I could order online so I'm not sure why that came up so much. I would only recommend dealing with these people if your blood pressure is too low.

When I called to check, I was told that they couldn't get to me today because (here comes the excuses), they were short handed and it was hot. Guess it wasn't too hot to do the other jobs though. If they actually were 24/7 as they say, it should have been "we are going to be later than expected because....." but that didn't happen at all. Now I have to pay someone else to do the job in a timely manner. Luckily I found someone that will do it tomorrow afternoon (no excuses).

Hunter worked with me to make the project come within my budget. Yeah, I know, almost all painters can do that. But, the actual laborers make the difference!
