I can't say that the look of the plants are lush and vibrant... however you must keep in mind that i've been on a #nurserycrawl for 6 weeks now so I have some good idea at what plants looked well cared for daily and I can say that for the larger nurseries they aren't ALWAYS kept as tidy as others. As for service no one bothered me nor engaged me to see if I needed help... I did come close to closing though so perhaps they were occupied there were 3 staff personal I saw in total. Parking was inside the premises. I didn't see bulbs, seeds or tools to hand your plants either but this isn't that sort of place. If you are looking for planters made in Mexico at an affordable price and mind you they have LOTS definitely come here. Respectfully Reviewed.

They have a wide assortment of pots and succulents and their soil amendments section has everything you need. Maifanatum, perlite, akadama, pumice, orchid bark, and more. The prices are also phenomenal! I got an assortment of pots and an imported euphorbia francoisii with the leaf variation and caudex shape I was looking for for a great price. It was like a little magical fruit forest, one block away! A few weeks later I'm searching for a nursery to plant my own little citrus grove, and guess who pops up?? That's right! Los Feliz! Felix is super friendly and helpful. This is more of his hobby, so you'll have to give him a bit of a break on the hours. But when he's around, he goes above and beyond. What they do have is encouraging: tools, bulk grass seeds, fertilizers, herbicides, and traps and poisons for rodent control, to name a few. Some things appear to be far better priced than most, bulk seeds for one. Hidden in the back are a small selection of healthy looking vegetable starts. This is the kind of place where you can feel comfortable you are going to get some sage advice for gardening problems. It is more of a "mom and pop" operation for the locals.

It was about $2.39 but the price for me is supposed to be $6.39... so it appeared to be a $4 markup. Ouch. But the employee also tells me the cheaper price is not scannable because it's from the manufacturer. Sigh... It's a super hot day. I'm glad they had a cooler with cold bottle water free to grab. That's very nice thing for the customer.

My photos only show this season's produce plants and harvest, which is gangbusters, but Armstrong is my local go to for my yard needs. The selection is exceptional, always. I get various ties and other control accessories, pots, tools, soil amendments, & the best watering wands from our local Armstrong. Some of my best ornamental and fruit trees came from Armstrong as well as many of my trellises & decorations. Along with purchases, comes the advice and recommendations from the knowledgeable staff who are always ready to provide good insight, guidance, and troubleshooting issues in my garden. My experience is that I can go to any Armstrong and get the same level of service and selection.
