They quote £22 for Cardiff International Airport, which is very competitive. Drivers are always very friendly, and are able to hold a conversation without it going awkward! Then upon leaving, usually after closing! you don't fancy the walk home. I have had a few such nights post the Golden Lion, and Direct Cars has served me well! It's great to have a 24 hour taxi service that is friendly and very reliable. Also having a clear office is also good because you can walk in for the personal touch if you want to book a taxi in advance. They also give a 10% discount to students and OAP's which is very kind and considerate of them. Definately a good way to travel.

Welcome to the new kids on the block!…read more Greenway Taxis Office is based in Westbury on Trym but they claim to serve pretty much the whole of Bristol and slightly beyond. So you may start seeing them around town. I called them from work a few days ago and they arrived pretty quickly. I had a little chat to the driver and found that the company is co-operatively owned and run by ex crown drivers and employees, it seems like a really good idea and gives them a chance to own a bit of a business. They claim to be a 24 hour service, which I can't verify for sure. They also have the slightly bigger cars for when there's 5 or 6 of you and it seems silly to get 2 smaller taxis. Worth giving them a chance - you can even pre-book a taxi online.
