One guy cancelled on my twice, and then a second guy cancelled during our arranged appointment time. This was after I had taken time off from work and driven across the bay. I did not have the same issues from Jonathan at Coastal Homes. First of all, Jonathan actually showed up and was on time! Then, upon first meeting Jonathan, he presented me with a beautifully designed business folder containing information about their services and packages. Jonathan is also very knowledgeable in his trade and knows how to do the handy work/tasks. He works at an efficient pace, and gets the work done right. Jonathan's prices are also very reasonable. In fact, Jonathan's quote was half the cost of what one of the other flaky handy guys wanted to charge me. Jonathan was also neat in appearance, kind, and professional. Beware of AC Transportation & Moving, LLC. I found them on a site and I guess I have moved quite a…read morebit in the last ten years and just took it for granted that they're all good. Well, I was wrong about these guys. First, I think Anthony the A in AC movers is a broker, so he just hires out other movers because the guy that showed up had a different name on his truck. Xavion??? Needless to say, I called a week before my move having scheduled several weeks before that concerned that 2 movers would not be enough. I was told to send pictures, and I did, along with a video of me walking through each room. However, when they showed up he (Xavion) freaked out and said if he had known he would have sent over 4 guys. That was the start of the "8itch" fest. And my quote of 2 hrs suddenly tripled. (it sucks when you're under a deadline and someone pulls this kind of crap because you just can't just cancel and go elsewhere. It was pretty obvious they were not experienced, they didn't wrap anything as "Anthony" promised and tossed a moving blanket (I supplied) on a couple of items. I had ropes to tie everything down and I had roped off the wall of boxes before they put in furniture, but then didn't bother to tell me when I could have secured the other items with rope and seemed upset I didn't have "straps". (I'm guessing they didn't know how to tie a proper knot). They had closed the door of the truck before I noticed and at the end just chucked stuff in. My fault for not checking but as in most moving situations I was a bit overwhelmed. They scratched furniture and laid things on their sides that were not supposed to be on their side. And the last straw was they walked off with one of MY dollys... When I confronted them, they said mine was on the truck. I had two there was only one on the truck and only saw that later on when I unpacked. So basically they are also thieves.... it might have been a cheap item, but it was still mine, and leaves me to wonder what else they stole. So keep your eye out for AC Transportation & Moving, LLC (Anthony) and his sidekick Xavion. Steer clear... in the end, after calling the police from my destination about the stolen dolly, they gave their "tip" money back. As I felt obligated to give them something.. never again.
