The Handy Brit crew reinstalled our kitchen cabinets. The installation of the cabinets was fine. The mounting of the granite was uneven . We also had asked him to replace the baseboard, he charged us $120 , never replaced it . Instead, he nailed back the old one on the wall. When we questioned the job and said that the original was never replaced he got very defensive and told us that he was not going to work with us anymore. The original job was quoted at $3800.00 and the final bill came in at $4300.00 . $500 extra from the original quote. He never informed us what the $500 extra was for. Beware of Paul the Brit. I was shocked to realize that the business model of this company is to estimate the time a job will take, have the customer agree, send someone to do the job, job doesnt get done in the time that was estimated, and then customer is left to start the whole process over in order to get it finished. Literally no plan to get the job done if it isn't finished in the time that the actual owner estimates in the quote. And then there is no follow up by the company to schedule completion. I foolishly went along with it, called to schedule completion of the job and it took weeks to get someone else out to finish. It was like i was a new customer all over again. And then I get someone different to finish the work - and he didn't finish! I've never experienced anything like it. Almost like it's purposeful to keep jacking up the cost of a simple project.
