We were hoping for a Saturday install of our new over the range microwave and removal of old unit. Same size, different brand. Dave was quick to respond, honest, asked appropriate questions and quoted us same day reasonable pricing. Yes, same day service! My old microwave was wedged into cabinets and needed skill to remove. We had Dave do some work for us a year ago and he did such a good job that we had him back recently to do another job. He returns calls promptly which certainly is refreshing and is on time for appointments. He had to replace a section of roof over the garden area of our lanai and he did it in extremely hot humid weather! He also did an excellent job! He cleans up after the work and hauls the debris off. We had a little leak during a rainstorm and Dave came right out to check it out. His work was fine and it turned out to be a problem with the flat roof which he went ahead and fixed. Who does that? Buyer beware. As a woman, we have all been scammed (or attempted) by price gouging contractors who try to take advantage of us. We sent off for 5 total companies for a TV remount, 3 companies came back with $50-$85 with little to no questions asked. We provided a paragraph of details and was asked questions unrelated to our query, as to insinuate we hadn't though of patching holes, do we have the mount (which we mentioned several times) or disposing of TV (really?). We mentioned remount, the TV size, model, weight, capability of mount and even distance to be raised. If this is the lack of respect and assumption that customers are wrong or ignorant because of our gender, this contractor is sadly mistaken. If you are a woman, I suggest moving along or be aware of these types of predatory companies attempting to charge $500 for less than a $100 project. Reply - to charge $500 to move a TV mount when now 4 other contractors charge all within $40 of each other, all below $100. Your response shows that you think a $50-$90 project is $500 is considered unfair business practices via price gouging. Your flippant response shows that you actually believe a 30 minute TV mount project is $500, you didn't even bother reading the paragraph of details provided that gave 4 other quality companies with ratings the ability to quickly and easily provide a quote without needing any more information. You are the only one who didn't read and then quoted a price that Florida law deems as excessive. Since this escapes your logical debate of excessive pricing, I'll elaborate. You cannot charge a $500 fee for a $50-$90 project. The litigation complaint and win would take less time than the mount to be installed. I'll be glad to post the details and your response to show everyone why they should avoid contractors who take advantage of people. read more

Called to remind me about the appointment and to confirm scope of job. Showed up on time and with mask in place. The previous electricians had installed a complex splitter instead of a remote, so Dave had to consult his resources to uninstall that and bypass the wall switch for this fan that had a remote but no switch wiring. The job took a little longer than I anticipated but was completed handily. Dave cleaned up the site and did not charge extra for the unexpected wiring issue. Will hire again. read more

I hired Dave to do a bathroom remodel. Tile two bathroom floors, a shower, take down the bulkhead in the shower and open up the entry into the shower area. After just two weeks , the grout was chipping out and when you walked on the floor, certain tiles, moved and creaked. Should tiles move and creak. Plus in the shower, he cut a tile two short. Imagine what that looked like!!! And he said the wall moved. No, Dave, the wall did not move, you cut the tile too short and he slapped it on the wall he installed. Who does that??? And in the niche, his corners, looked like a child had done ithem!!! I did contact Dave and told him about the grout. He said it's a curing process and he could come in 4 weeks. I couldn't live with the floor any longer, I found a tile professional, he pulled one of the tiles and the thin set or whatever he used was still wet. Imagine that??? Plus there was lippage on the floor and some tiles sounded hollow when you knocked on. Don't hire Dave to tile. He's not a tiler. I'm not sure what Dave is good at!!!????? I bought the TV at Costco, it was delivered in the box, about 110lbs and I bought a nice extendable arm mount that was rated for the TV weight off of amazon. Dave came by, he was very personable, he measured a few times to get the positioning correct, installed the TV mount and I helped him pick up one side of the TV to hang it and its done.
