A bit hard to find but so worth the trip. Looks like a tiny dive bar but is much bigger than it looks from the outside! Tried the broccoli cheese bites and bottle caps (yum!) and had a heck of a time choosing from the rather sizable pub menu. My fiancé and I both went with cheeseburgers. Super moist, great flavor! Waitresses were very friendly and service was exceptional.. The place was very clean. Draft beer was cold and at a good price. Burger was good. However, wings were just o.k. They were not cooked enough, and are advertised as equal drums and flappers. But, we only received all flappers, which was not compensated. Also, be aware that if you order 2 flavors of wings / dozen, you are charged the half dozen price, which is $2 more. Overall, I would recommend the place! It is very hometown friendly! read more

I honestly love this place. Now that I've had the chance to try a lot of their food it is my go to place for breakfast and lunch! I absolutely love their Tavern Bowl its contents are cradled in a thin egg but I always ask for my eggs on top of all the yummy goodness. It has hash browns homemade sausage gravy with eggs and cheese over top! The country fried steak breakfast is excellent! Their burgers are awesome! In season their albacore tuna club is off the HOOK!!!!! It's a must try! The locals are all wonderful I always meet a new face. The bartenders and waitresses are great and work very hard! The owners are very nice people and have had this place poppin since 1986 this is a great family oriented place with yummy food and daily specials! Like homemade meatloaf sandwiches last night! Who doesn't LOVE meatloaf sandwiches! Mmmmm come on in especially the tourists they call ya city slickers hehe if you want an awesome view of how these locals are like family! Stopped in for a late lunch. Clean, good atmosphere. No one under 21 posted on door even for lunch it seens. Nice outside seating area where you can smoke if you do, freedom does still exist.....kind of. Food was excellent. Had the chicken fried steak sandwich- very very good. We were in Logan for the weekend..and on arrival...looking to grab a quick lunch. This Tavern had the greatest span of quicker food than any else's Menu. Great down to earth home town type bar and grill. The food was great! Burgers and fries were really good and not cold or too greasy. We liked it so much we came back for breakfast! My husband and I were in town and stopped here for lunch, because the reviews were good. Our beers were cold and the home made chili was excellent! I felt like I had stepped back in time as it only cost us 11.00 for 5 beers and 2 bowls of chili! Went back the next night and got a few appetizers, which was typical bar food, but because the prices were so low we got two, and a sandwich each. Food was good. Great hometown place for breakfast. I got the tavern bowl which had eggs, sausage gravy, hashbrowns, cheese, all on top of a biscuit. It was excellent. My wife got the standard eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. Also very good. With 2 coffees, it was only $12.75. Very cheap, very good homemade food. Waitress was really nice and quick to refill your coffee. This is a bar by night and breakfast place in the morning. It was full of locals eating breakfast and talking. If you are considering bob Evans or this, it is not even a comparison. Much better food, prices, and atmosphere. read more

My wife and I walked in the front door not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by a super friendly bartender, and were immediately served our drinks. After perusing the menu, I went with a burger, can't go wrong with that choice, it was juicy and delicious. My wife with a little hesitation ordered the fisherman's platter and was pleasantly surprised with deep fried goodness. Definitely a spot you have to check out in the Hocking Hills. Tavern burger & dumpster fires are delicious! And they serve ice cold beer! Service is a little slow but friendly. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is always hot & delicious & the beer is always ice cold. After reading all of the reviews for breakfast, we were anxious to try it. However we were disappointed to find out that breakfast ends at 11 am and there apparently are no exceptions even when you arrive at 1105 am on a Sunday morning. There is no way to know that by the website unless you study the fine print at the top of the breakfast menu on the website. I wanted to try the breakfast burrito so I had to settle for a cheese quesadilla - I was tempted to ask for egg in it! Well you really can't make a bad cheese quesadilla so I will have to go with my boyfriends meal - a Reuben and tomato basil soup. He liked his food. As we went to leave, our server finally warmed up to us, the initial reception was not so friendly, however I guess they had trouble getting help that day. I have to say that this is a nice bar setting and we heard that they sometimes have live bands on Saturday night. read more
