Sweet potato fries with garlic aioli and chimichurri and a Ridge Runner Lil'Harvey Stout
    Geoff D.

Just sharing a new photo from a recent visit. The Ridge Runner Lil' Harvey Stout has a hint of coffee with local Ridge Runner beans doing the trick. You can get just straight Lil' Harvey Stout if you'd rather skip the coffee.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I just love the rustic feel to Little Fish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whenever I'm in Athens I love stopping by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance outside is so warm and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beers are awesome, love that they have some gluten reduced options. Service is always good, and I enjoy the food. This past time we shared some Brussels sprouts, loved the blue cheese toppings, so delicious.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]No offense to the inside, but the outdoor patio is where Little Fish's brews and bites are best enjoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At night, the lit path from the patio to the satellite parking lot is the stuff of dreams for your social media posts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place has a large, diverse selection of beers which ironically isn't the case at every brewpub. Their food menu is a little tighter, leaning on pizzas partnered with a couples of burgers and small plates. All was good!

We love this spot so much our daughter asked to drive here from Columbus for her 7th birthday. The piemento dip is her favorite and our other daughter loves the olives. My husband is a fan of the Detroit style pizza, which is perfectly crispy, and I love their rotating salads. The kale Caesar this weekend was so fresh and flavorful. We were huge fans of the corn risotto and the wine and beer selection is extensive and offers great variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]These photos are from lunch last month and today on their beautiful patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A special spot for our family![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]On my first visit, I liked the casual setup, long picnic tables and a giant beer wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took advantage of the a la carte flights and found 2 IPA's and a Nitro to have with our meals. We got wings and the Mushroom pizza. I asked them to add pepperoni to the my pizza - and was told "additions politely declined" - but they could add anchovies ??? The pizza was ok, but the anchovies overpowered the dish. On my second visit, ordered the "massaged"Kale Caesar salad which was adorned by cucumber and Parmesan - woohoo! The beer selection and friendly service are worth the visit. Not a fan of kitchen rules.

This is our second time stopping in at Little Fish! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have the cutest outdoor patio space that is aglow with string lights and it is also pet friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Last time we were here, we only stopped in for beers and the chimi fries, but this time we got beers and tried their buffalo chicken Detroit style pizza. The pizza was HUGE and the crust was the perfect blend of crispy and chewy while the bread was so soft. I love Detroit style pizzas because they aren't loaded down with sauce and this was no exception. The very thinly sliced, pickled celery pieces were such an unexpected delight. We would both order it again! I ended up trying 8 different beers while we were here, 4 from the top that were light and refreshing or sours, and then 4 down at the bottom that were more seasonal, fall styles. I loved all 8! My husband started off with 6 or 7 right off the bat and then sipped on those throughout our stay, but we shared with each other as well. (If he took a photo of his flight, then I'll update my review with his photo later on.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sitting outside was a tad chilly, but we dressed warmly and also had coats in the car in case we needed them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The dogs loved it because they have so much fur and we ended up loving it too because it kept our beers ice cold our whole stay. If you are ever traveling through the area or visiting to go hiking in Hocking Hills like we are, then definitely stop in to try some of their beers and their delicious food! Their staff are so friendly and it is a great spot for dinner to sit down and relax, while still being able to enjoy the outside, after hiking all day.

We stopped by Little Fish on our way to an Airbnb in this area for a quick pint and snack after being on the road. The bartender and our server made great beer recommendations. They have a nice variety of styles of beer, including IPAs, Sours, and Belgians to name a few. If you scan their QR code you can read detailed descriptions of each beer and the brewing process and ingredients used. Their menu looked great - we opted for just a small appetizer, the tinned fish, since my husband is a bug fan of sardines. Probably not for everyone, but they brought them out nicely dressed with some tomato sauce and edible flowers. I'd love a chance to come back and try some of their other menu items which all sounded delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is an open brewery with several picnic style tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The host stand will seat you and there is full table service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a great outdoor space too, but we didn't check it out since it was crazy summer hot! The outdoor tables though are nicely covered and offer lots of extra seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A lovely brewery stop for anyone who enjoys craft beer and quality food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Little fish is a great place to hang out and relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love the food and the beer but the great people that work there and run it is why I'll always come back.

Stopped by Little Fish since it had great reviews and we were in the area on vacation. It lived up to the hype! The beer selection is fantastic, lots of variety. Our host and our server were both super friendly and funny, and our server gave us some recommendations for stuff to do in Athens which was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went by around 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon and had no problem being seated, there's plenty of space outside for seating and even some games. Really chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For food we got the pickled veggies and tinned fish (oysters) and the grape and Gorgonzola pie. The pickled veggies were so good, especially paired with the tin fish! Plenty of variety in flavor, really nicely assembled, all unique and delicious. The oysters with mustard were fantastic as well, can't go wrong. We liked the grape and Gorgonzola pie but it was very rich, so we took most of it home for later. My only wish is that it had more of the toppings (grapes, red onion, rosemary) because it broke up the richness of the super doughy slice with béchamel. I wish we lived closer, I'd love to try a red sauce pie. 10/10, this place rules. Stop here if you're traveling to or through Athens!!!

20+ beers on tap covering several beer styles, outstanding Detroit-style pizzas and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Stop reading reviews and just go, you won't be disappointed.

Was in town for my brothers wedding. We went to this brewery as part of the rehearsal dinner. This is in its own private lot on the edge of college town. It has a beautiful outdoor area covering a couple of picnic benches with some cafe lights strung in between. Speaking only in regards to the food, the chimichurri fries were a great consistency and well seasoned. The chimichurri added a nice freshness to offset the garlic aioli. We also got the mushroom Detroit pizza. It was absolutely delicious. Full bodied with the bechamel sauce mixed with mozzarella. The oyster and cremini mushrooms added a lot of depth to the mix. It was well seasoned. Piping hot and crisp on the outside, gooey on the inside. Pretty impressed with the food especially for a brewery. Service was great. Although we had to grab our own plates and silverware, staff often bussed the tables and checked in on our large group. If I ever return to Athens in the future, I would come back for sure.

My son graduated from Ohio University and we made a reservation for a party of 12. Despite that reservation, there was a considerable wait (about an hour) but that's not why I'm writing this review. We traveled from Pittsburgh to celebrate my son, so I brought a specially made cake from a local bakery that he loves. I asked the manager if we could serve that cake after the meal and not only did he decline, he was very rude. Even after I reminded him that we were on the verge of spending close to $1000 in his restaurant he would make no exception. I didn't make a fuss but after our meal when the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, we had a good laugh and said uhhhh no thank you. I hope the potential handful of desserts you thought we might be forced to buy was worth this one star review.

We were advised that they do take online reservations, so I'd most recommend that before making the drive out. We got seated on their patio and the views were absolutely gorgeous. I know the weather has nothing to do with the restaurant but if you get a chance to come here on a beautiful day and sit outside, it's truly an amazing experience. The service was nice, the man who was serving wine walked us through their offerings and helped up pick bottles we'd like. Our food server was also friendly and on top of making sure everything was going well. I do always appreciate when places leave me a pitcher or carafe of iced tea, because I really do go through my drinks like I was just lost in a desert for a week. The menu does change, when we were there the duck entree did look very tempting but ultimately I went with a chicken Caesar salad and French onion soup. Both were delicious and paired nicely with the complementary bread and garlic oil. I was very satisfied after my meal and I actually quite enjoyed my glass of wine. I'm not crazy about wine but the bobcat blush was sweet and delicious. I really hope I get to visit here again!

Not realizing that outside was covered patio we first opted to sit inside but then we noticed the covered patio and requested to be seated outside and thanks to our lucky stars, the hostess obliged and we got seated outside in the covered patio to enjoy the perfect Memorial weekend weather. We ordered some drinks (not pictured) - I ordered an Espresso Martini while husband ordered a beer, friends ordered a couple of other drinks - a berry smash, a Sauvignon and more beer for the guys. The cocktails were amazing and delicious. We ordered a couple of shareables (Tirokafteri and Colcannon Cakes) as well which were both of course were so scrumptious that we forgot to click pics! So I made sure I clicked pics of as many mains/ entrees I could. A friend and I, ordered fried chicken sandwiches (his with fries, mine with chips, I also asked my brioche be subbed with Sourdough which both our waitress and chef were kind enough to comply), husband ordered a 58 burger, another friend ordered the Italian Chicken flatbread and another ordered a Portobello entree with a side of Caprese salad (added grilled Chicken). The fried chicken was ok, I've had better ones and unfortunately for me it gave me a bad tum as I spent the rest of the day feeling queasy. The husband said his burger was amazing, the flatbread, portobello and caprese were all absolutely delectable. Thankfully everyone enjoyed their lunch including kiddos who had Mac and cheese and a cheese pizza.
