HTC is now Blue Stream Fiber. This company is by far the worst company that I have had the displeasure of working, with bar none.Aside from the TV constantly pixelating and freezing despite numerous calls (and that is with paying top dollar), they have: 1. Stolen money from my account three times without my knowledge or permission 2. Claimed that I owed them over $1,500 even though I sent them every single payment receipt from the beginning of January 2019 until June 2020 3. Lied to the BBB when I reported them saying that they called me and tried to work things out with me on 5 separate occasions (my phone records show just the opposite). 4. Shut off my services on June 23rd, but continue to bill me for them. This company has a contract with this HOA until 2034 and they think they can get away with anything. I have reported them to the BBB and the FCC, but who knows. It is so frustrating that it's not just me, but so many other people are having problems with these people and there is nothing we can do. If you ever have a choice, do not do business with this company. They are thieves and not to be trusted. read more

My cable froze during the Stanley Cup Game 7 and didn't run until the news was on... then half the Tonight show was not on because the channel just went to black... switching the ATT, Comcast or Direct Tv... anything is better than this P.O.S half assed cable nonprovider! This is the best Cable, Phone, and Internet company I have ever had. They are respectful of your needs & wants. They are always improving their technologies. My internet is lightning fast. Telephone service is absolutely the lowest price with quality service. Technicians do keep within their promised scheduled times and explain what they're doing and why they'll work. Give HTC a solid chance. I've used them for a very long time. No complaints. Wonderful employees!! read more

Don't waist your time or money upgrading your internet package. It's still slow! My cell phone is way faster then their "upgraded" internet!!! I'd give it zero stars if I could. Bad product with worse customer service. Tech support is unresponsive and works short hours. The People you talk to on the phone if you have an issue are terrible. They all claim they can't help... Robin was especially useless!! They have you by the throat and know it, and take advantage of the customers stuck in an HOA. It's terrible. read more

How do you give your customers the finger everyday while surviving as a business? Do it like Home Town Cable Plus! First, sign a multi-year agreement with a Master Planned Community to gain exclusive rights to provide cable, telephone, internet, and alarm services. Now you are free to provide substandard content for your cable TV service, unprofessional customer service, and unreliable Internal service. To top it off, you treat your customers (mostly retirees, in this area) like turd by charging them an obscene fee every time a technician is sent to perform service or repair, regardless of the party at fault. Put next to no information on the website to ward off any attempt by customers to contact you. Shut off your customer service phone line in the evening too, just in case. read more

Home Town Cable and Core Communities at Tradition have an exclusive contract for all Home Owners Association for a poor quality cable services that freezes and cuts out on a regular basis. Complaints go unresolved due to the exclusive contract and Associations are charged increasing fees as a result for a poor cable company network system. Please have your Associations contact Tom Wheeler from the FCC consumer complaint division ,as well as, congressional representatives to stop this exclusive contracting at Tradition as it takes away from the enjoyment of living here . read more

Service is horrible...I often wonder if a good attorney could get us out of this unAmerican requirement to pay for this awful and ridiculous service simply because we live in Tradition. This is the absolute worst cable / internet company I have ever used, EVER. I pay a lot more than what most larger companies charge for 16 mpbs and I get 3-4 on a good day. Every time I call them for tech support, they try to blame it my router. A brand new Apple router... Cant wait until the HOA cancels this contract. ughhhh read more

Without doubt the worst cable company in America. They have terrible customer support, poor service and are extremely expensive. If you are planning to move into a community like Tradition I n Port St Lucie, Florida...think again!!!!you will pay a standard, no bells or whistles, monthly fee of $150 + with GAURANTEED 5% PER YEAR INCREASE.THIS IS DOUBLE THE Comcast FEES AND REPRESENTS VIRTUALLY HALF YOUR MONTHLY HOA. They do not have DVR, To put this in perspective you will pay more for this third rate system than for your monthly gas and electric in Tradition Vitalia !!!! Many of the sub divisions in Tradition are looking for legal relief from this horrible company. I believe they (Core Communities) signed a fifteen year contract with Hometown Cable and there may be another 5-6 years to go ...this means paying almost $200.00 permonth for basic cable and internet...that my friends is equal to your real estate tax bill annually!!!. As soon as my home hits a certain vaue we are moving also. As a retiree I cannot justify paying 1800- 2400 per yaer for lousy basic HomeTown Cable lack of service. Our HOA covered the cable until this year. They decided to cover internet instead of cable. Our new bill is going to be $115 for the cheapest cable package. We do have the HD/DVR, but I have never even paid that much with Comcast. Horrible customer service. They obviously only care about money. Cable works ok, but lots of glitches on the screen. I have just learned to ignore it. There are quite a few problems with the box, but constant resetting seems to help. If I had the option to go to a different cable company, I would, but Hometown is locked in here so they know they can take total advantage. We are only renting right now, but we have been thinking about purchasing in here... I think I may choose a neighborhood that doesn't require you to deal with Hometown! Internet is supposed to be great, but connection is always in and out. read more

Quality picture but weak offerings as far as cable programming. If you thought Comcast was bad, Hometown is not far off. In fact, Comcast is better value for money because of the breadth of programming and options available. I have Comcast, Hometown is the only offering in Tradition where my mother is. read more

Got rid of HTC for alarm monitoring after no call from them when alarm was going off and I was away from home for a few hours. Then in a one-month period had two false alarms on the same window. Hired a national company and when the installer came out and checked my system found out HTC was not monitoring about half my entries because those entries were showing closed whether they were closed or open. What a bunch of smucks at HTC. When I cancelled HTC on the 5th I asked for a pro-rated bill for alarm and was rudely told to pay the whole bill and I would have a credit on my next bill. read more

Worst cable/internet company ever. Your better off using a digital antenna than paying for their "basic cable". Basic cable is way over priced and don't expect any HD channels to be included. The internet is advertised as high speed. It is not even close to being high speed internet. On top of their slow "high speed internet" rarely works. I would dump this company in a heartbeat but unfortunately I'm forced to pay for this garbage because it's tied in with my HOA. Stay away from Hometown Cable if you have the choice. read more

This is the worst Cable service. We have to have this service because it is in the Master Plan community that we live in. Have it for 2 plus months now and I had to call the customer service at least 10 times for various problems. First no internet service, then no tv service, then skipping over channels for no reason and now the remote doesn't work. It is expensive compared to the other cable bundles around and the customer service people are unprofessional and don't know what they are talking about when you get them on the phone. I had one girl tell me my rounter was the problem for my internet connection when in fact it was the internet service provided. If I had a choice I would drop them in a minute. read more

The worst cable company, we are from up north and our cable company gives you a basic box for free so you can get HD this cable company charges in our home owner fee and if you want more you pay more, if we did that we would pay almost twice the amount for tv, what a monopoly i cannot understand why the US government is not investigating this cable company. read more
