BBB complaint I filed-…read more I noticed that I had standing water in my kitchen that was coming through a crack in my ceiling. After doing some troubleshooting in the attic I realized that the issue was coming from the roof. I called Above and Beyond Roofing to come out and take a look since they were the ones that replaced my roof. They came out, agreed that the leak was coming from the boot and put caulk around it to stop the leak. The leak did stop. I let them know that I would be contacting a handyman to get an estimate for the repairs for the water damage. Within the next few days I called them and emailed Above and Beyond roofing with no response. After getting the estimate I called them again and was able to talk. Above and Beyond Roofing started saying that the estimate I got was ridiculous and the leak wasn't their fault. I sent them the pictures I took, detailing the leak and the steps I took while troubleshooting. No response. I called them again today and they came out but only to argue that the estimate I got was ridiculous and the leak wasn't their fault. I am only asking them to repair the damages caused by the leak by a reputable handyman and the items I had to purchase while troubleshooting (gloves to work with water and insulation, a flashlight for working in the attic, and a can of Flexseal and waterproof tape).

Dave patched the roof where the chimney had come up through and shingled it and also put new brick in the wall where the pipe had come out to vent the stove. Another worker came and trimmed and painted under the eave and sealed the inside wall. For baldwins the price was 5.45 a sq ft for carpet and installation and kellys carpet the one we liked was 8. Baldwins sent a guy out to measure and when he got back to shop owner called right away complaining about going up a 6ft ladder to a deck which is easiest, best way to enter the house for roll of carpet and wasn't being nice and did not handle it the right way. Being a conctractor myself that is not the way you talk to a customer. So the estimate from Kelly's was 2600 for instal on carpet at 8 a square ft and baldwins was 3300 for 5.45 a sq ft. Both are exact same room. Math doesn't add up there. The owner almost doubled the price cause he didn't want to do the job. I would stay away from baldwins but if you do end up going there deal with David and not the owner don. Save some money and headache and go somewhere else like NFM who carry's same carpet for cheaper and no problems.

In the fall of 2019, we contacted the owner due to having 4 water leaks on our ceiling. He originally made an appointment to come out and look at our roof. He cancelled his appointment through text message. After several attempts in phone calls, text messages, then email like the workmanship warranty states, certified mail. The owner refuses to even contact us or let alone look at our roof. I have all documentation, pictures, and certified mail signatures to provide his lack of integrity. I would not recommend this company.
