At no point during the scheduling call was I told there would be a service fee. When the techs arrived, they made no mention of a charge, nor did they provide any kind of invoice or paperwork before leaving. I later received three bills by mail, each demanding $130, with no explanation of what the charge was for -- just a warning that failure to pay would result in the account being sent to collections. I did not believe the charge was warranted and disputed it in writing via certified mail with return receipt, which Universal Electric received and signed for. They never responded. No follow-up, no phone call, no documentation -- just silence. Eventually, they turned the matter over to a collection agency. It's frustrating to be billed for a visit where no service was performed, no agreement was made, and no information was shared upfront about potential charges. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Universal Electric.

They are always kind and helpful in recommending what we need, and beyond if they notice other things they can help with. they use a black light to spot any stains we didn't notice (we have pets), and a special enzyme solution to keep from the dogs wanting to use that area again. And they give you a life time supply of their enzyme solution to use for spot treatment! If you run out, let them know, leave the empty bottle on the porch and they'll fill it up for you! Our carpets always smell SO good and feel soft after they leave. Their prices are very reasonable and their customer service is amazing! Heard scratching again. The second guy they sent out set up mouse triangle houses and said we had some mouse droppings. I asked them where are they coming in. They set more traps in the garage and around the house. Told Echo I heard scratching again. They sent a guy out who just sprayed. I told them to send someone else out to check our attic. They did, the boss, who now tells me he saw no mice droppings, only bat droppings. I will never use them again. The person that came out must not have had experience in bat droppings and set mouse traps. I am so angry because this was months ago. Now I have to get a bat exterminator because they don't do bats. I really would not recommend them at all. Not only that but if you are getting mice in your attic (I think now I have more knowledge), bats could probably fit through the same hole as a mice. Grrr! I also learned how poorly one (Air Force One) company was treating their employees which was eye opening. I decided to search for a local owner/operator carpet cleaner which lead me to this company. The owner Joel is the same guy who will show up to clean your carpets. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he was also priced lower then everyone I called (who couldn't even do the job). Joel has been out 3 times now over the last couple years and has always been on time and willing to work around any time constraints I had. So glad I found this company!
