    Stains on carpet
    Michael P.

We paid a $50 deposit for a room with two beds, as we were traveling with two kids. When we arrived we were told that they were completely booked and the room they had for us had one bed and a pullout couch. So what did we pay a deposit for? The room was a disaster - it reeked of cigarettes and industrial strength air freshener, and there were stains on the carpet. The place is so poorly maintained that guests have broken do not disturb signs they tape to their doors. After an uncomfortable night, we were greeted by Texas-size cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen. And there was just a random hole in the ceiling - no wonder bugs can get in! Avoid, avoid there are way better places in the area. Staff was nice, they were obviously handicapped by management.

Lots of storage and 2 desk areas room 419. Highly recommend!

Got a room w 2 double beds last night and a couch + kitchenette (huge fridge, kitchen sink, dishes, microwave and dishwasher). The room was huge, probably bigger than my apartment downtown. Super clean and they disinfect with Lysol. They have a gym, breakfast 6-10am, pool, a couple outdoor lounge areas and the staff were super friendly! Rooms have cable and Iron and ironing board too. Walkable to CVS and multiple restaurants. I think they have a shuttle too. Highly recommended!

First time ever staying at this brand by Hilton, and it didn't disappoint (not too bad, anyway). The property feels as if it is brand new, and is tucked away in between a Jimmy Changas restaurant and Honda dealership off of I-10 West in Katy. The millennials & some Gen X's would be happy with this hotel's nouveau design. The bedroom suite met expectations of it being super clean, artistic, and extremely comfortable. The bed was so comfortable that you wanted to sleep in it for a few hours longer, and the thermostat was quite receptive in getting to the desired temperature very quickly. I hardly heard a peep out of anyone else that stayed on the third floor, much less above or below me. No paper thin walls here! Breakfast is more on the continental side of things. I was told that prior to arriving here not to expect large breakfast offerings that you would see at other Hilton brands, such as Embassy Suites or Hampton Inn. Expect to get your basic waffle, microwavable breakfast sandwiches, dry cereal, and bran muffin here. That's about it. The large gym area was a huge plus, as well as the outdoor pool. A CVS Pharmacy is within walking distance (50-60 meters) should you need the hotel items that you forgot to bring from home. Customer service at the front desk was superb (thank you for the mineral water, Gaby!).

Our house recently caught on fire and we have been temporarily displaced. The insurance company made reservations for us to stay at this hotel for the next couple of weeks. It has been absolute HELL. Day 1 I woke up from a nap with bumps on my back and I was itching. I didn't think anything of it until I found a dead bug in the double bed next to mine. Since the bug was dead I didn't make a big deal and just requested the sheets be changed. (They weren't) Day 2 is when I noticed something black moving on the bed. I called the front desk had them come and see the bug and was immediately moved. They didn't have any double beds available so I spent that night in a Queen bed suite (it was very dusty. Then I I was moved back to a double bed room and even though it was a "freshly " cleaned room, I noticed a stench, the chair by the desk was dirty, and there were stains on the carpet. The night before checkout when I felt something moving under the sheets, I pulled back the 3/4 mattress coverings and saw another bug. At that point I moved all my stuff into my car and just sat on the couch because they wouldn't come change the sheets. The breakfast was lacked variety and "real" eggs, pool was closed, rooms are very dusty (got a sinus infection while there), and the hotel is doing renovations so there was constant noise and the smell of paint. They also tried to add several incidental charges to our rooms when no damage or incident occurred. They explained it as a "mistake". Room cards kept deactivating and there would be no one at the front desk to reactivate them. The walls AND FLOORS are paper thin; every noise is a vibration that will wake you from your sleep. A 3 of the staff tried to be as accommodating as they could be but tonight is our last night and we are just ready to leave. This has been the worst hotel experience ever and I would not really recommend. Pro : the beds were very soft. (Hard to enjoy because of the bugs)

A boutique hotel in the description usually peels me away from booking, as I expect small, smoke filled rooms, stained sheets and peeling paint (yes I've not had great experiences with 3 star hotels lol) However, my family and I are displaced at this time waiting for our home to complete construction and we are floating between hotels and family for the next couple of weeks, so 4 star hotels are not in the budget. Hubby found this hotel online and it was in the area of one of our favorite Mexican restaurants (Jimmy Changas), so we decided to give it a shot. So happy we did! The staff is beyond amazing! I could not figure out how to log on the wifi when we first arrived and their code appeared not to be working, so I called to the front desk (all to find out it was user error), and so a few min after my call down to the front desk getting their help, the front desk called back to the room to ensure I was online successfully and didnt need anything additional. Talk about wow service! Later that evening after we had gone to dinner and come back to the hotel, their bar had opened (opened 7-930) and we met Minerva. She was super sweet and hubby loved her generous drinks. She asked us how our rooms were and asked us if there was anything missing or needed. Very attentive. Pros of this hotel: Super clean. Very modern. Free Buffet breakfast (omelette station!), lemon water complimentary in the lobby, huge pool and hot tub, and their beds are very comfortable. As well the hotel is only 2 years old, but literally smells brand new! I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Clearly their management is in top of what is going on around here. And their staff seemingly enjoy being hospitable to their guests. A sure win! Not sure we will be back since were locals, but if for any reason we have to stay in town again, definitely will be coming back. Less than $100 a night - priced perfectly!

    Total cleaning on towel.

July 13, This is our first stay here. Before we made one move I cleaned EVERY hard and soft surface, excluding the carpet and entrance flooring. I wiped the light switch, the headboard, the tables, counter tops, window sills, doors, A/C, lamps, fridge, microwave and ottoman. As you see the towel has a very minimum amount of dirt? We are here until the 23rd. So far my expectations (*cleanliness) is surpassed! More to come... More has come. The staff was extraordinarily stellar! The ambiance was very nice. The sheets and bed was so comfy and luxurious I didn't want to get out of bed! The complementary breakfast was nice, especially fresh fruit and self-making waffle machine. Nice touch. Now for the down side...The pool hours are clearly posted children must leave at 10p, adults until 11p. Unfortunately, three days in a row "children" ( 3y-preteens) were screaming "Marco Polo" until well after 10, and one day until 11. And it would have continued unless someone needed to alert front desk. But what took me over the top...today July 19, I awakened early to a live cockroach on the kitchen counter?! I DON'T DO PESTS. EVER. My heart sunk. I can tolerate kids having rambunctious fun, even a bit of insomnia but pests, I draw the line! The hotel and room seemed very clean, and most likely it came from the sink drain. Nonetheless, I immediately checked out. I'm so disheartened. It was near the highway, but no noise and deco was quite charming. Even the towels, pillows, body wash, and toiletries were stellar. Perhaps I'll try again...after a thorough extermination.

I loved how professional the staff was, the food was good and everything was nice, the green apples are always a nice touch.

There were roaches and strange looking bugs in the room. It was very unpleasant. I prayed that the roaches did not get in my suitcase.

Mediocre at best, really basic. The room has full kitchen, my truck was keyed in the parking lot right next to the front door.

The hotel offer refresh service every other day start on the 3" day of your stay. full services on the 6 " day of your stay. The next day of my stay the lady cleans I talk with her occasionally and I ask for a brum for my cats if the rooms needs and emergency refresh but the house keeping lady never returned. I went down stairs and ask for my bill and the receptionist told me that we will receive the bill the day of the check out. And when I ask for the cleaning services she just told me that she can gave me the towels instead of send the lady' to clean. I walk through the hall and all the garbage bags were out the door This was awful and unpleasant for me. The lady went to the room and just bring the towels and took the garbage that I already collected. The lady has a bad attitude and didn't do the job that she had chosen with contesy or like a profesional cleanner. I suggest the owner to training all the lady's and talk with the supervisor for this matter. I understand or think that we have the option to reject the keeping lady inside the room to do her job but in my case this lady disappeared and I really need to have my room organized and clean I do like that the toilet wasn't clean for the days i stay at the hotel and I have to ask for all the cleaning supplies I needed for replenished. Outside the door the hotel eventougth looks quiet and beay but the journey at the rest inn was not pleasant for me at this particularly location. If you are just skimming this review then all you need to know is do NOT stay here!…read more Now, for the details: Booked a 2 Queen room, but they claimed upon check-in that the Military Discount only applies to active duty personnel, so they recommend a 2 room suite for a premium fee. When told that we just wanted the 2 Queen room, they said that the two room suite was cheaper. Traveling more than 4 hours, just wanted a room, so done ($250+ per night, absolutely a rip off). (I suspected that they either overbooked, or didn't have any Queen rooms.) Construction going on at this hotel (June 2025), just for your info. (Many hotels discount their rates a bit when they have construction going on, but not here). Breakfast was standard, so no issues there, except for the staff member who emptied the trash, but put the lid back on, not knowing a yogurt container was thrown away and from the reaction from the staff member, you would have thought a dirty diaper had been tossed out... The room was clean and the suite was nice, albeit expensive. However, the room was never cleaned until the front desk was approached and it was strongly requested. Again, for this kind of money, you would think that you would get the room cleaned and refreshed daily. The second night, early in the AM, (from approximately 1 AM to about 3:30 AM) the room above had a heard of elephants or perhaps a good old fashioned Texas rodeo was going on, maybe a stampede? Anyway, after a bit a call to the front desk resulted in no change, a second call to the front desk resulted in the clerk stating that she was the only employee in the hotel and couldn't do anything other than ask the loud guests to quiet down. Many concerns here, such as being right on the outskirts of Houston, and this being a larger hotel, there is no security or more than just one employee? Yikes! Not safe for the employee or the numerous guests! I called and spoke to the front desk in the morning and his indifference was overpowering. He basically brushed off ALL of my concerns from arguing with me about the price of the room, the change of rooms (he confirmed me suspicions when he told me there were only three 2 queen bed rooms in the whole hotel, so they were also premium), not that makes any sense at all, but he also stated that only active duty got discounts, but no retirees, when I asked about first responder discounts, he changed his tune and said, because of the premium room, there were no discounts. He also argued that the night clerk had done her job, which she may have done, e.g. called the room or what up there, but it was not effective. When I asked about escalation, e.g. calling the cops, he didn't have an answer, nor did he have one for my concern for the hotel night clerk and the guests staying there. By now, most hotel clerks would have spoken to their management about a discount or a room reduction due to the noise and poor nights sleep, inconveniences, oh and especially as it was a "premium room" and all that, but nope! The only thing he offered to die was put a few extra points on my Marriott rewards. Poor customer service and my biggest issue was the apathy and lack of empathy / caring. I did NOT feel valued as a customer at all. Very disappointed with the whole experience, I will NOT be staying at a Marriott chain (Residence Inn in this case), anytime in the near future. With so many hotels to choose from these days, look at the Yelp reviews and just call the hotel itself and ask general questions, and see how the staff responds to your questions, were they patient or were the rude or disrespectful, perhaps only just meh? In any case, from the prices hotels charge these days, I don't think it is too much to ask to be treated fairly, respectfully and professionally! 1 star removed for check in experience 1 star removed for front desk clerks apathy / attitude 1 star removed for construction and late night / early morning noise 1 star removed for overall experience and high cost (upselling) of room, etc. If I could given zero stars, I would have. I also called corporate Marriott to see if their customer service folks gave a darn, the lady I spoke with was very patient and kind and listened, but not sure what will come of that, if anything.
