The biscuits were light and fluffy and MOIST! The omelets were made with care and love that they had oatmeal and yogurt too. I didn't use the pancake machine. I know, right? One thing is those new coffee machines that grind, brew, and dispense a hot cup of coffee are absolutely terrible. I'm a loyal IHG member, but if this is the new normal, I may need to switch brands entirely. Some of the worst hotel coffee I've had. PLEASE get better beans or something. I haven't decided if I'd stay again (bad coffee and pillows are two pretty big strikes). I like the Staybridge down the road but also saw a lot of other hotels in the area which may be worth trying out. And wish I would have received a survey on this one... that would have been nice.

They have rooms for everyone from single travelers, to families, to those who travel for business. Breakfast, pool access and gym facilities are some of the many amenities offered! The pool hours go until midnight which I love! Breakfast options are abundant ranging from full breakfast as pictured, to cereal, to grab n go options like muffins and pastries. I've stayed in almost every type of room they offer. My personal favorite is the Queen deluxe. This option offers a cozy queen bed and a sitting area with a pull out sofa bed and coffee table too. There's also a desk so it's ideal for a traveling businessperson! Every type of room I've stayed in is always spotlessly clean upon arrival and after housekeeping has visited. The staff is quick to take care of you if you've forgotten any essential personal hygiene items as well! There's also a gas station and McDonald's within walking distance and several restaurant options close by as well. If you can't get out you can also have various services deliver to your room (I've had both Uber Eats and Instacart deliver to my room). Check out is done quickly and easily via text. Standard checkout is 12 noon but they will accommodate late checkout requests as well. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced hotel with wonderful accommodations and friendly staff... look no further! From the start, the hotel's identity was confusing, with signage for both Delta and Fairfield out front. It was unclear what kind of experience we were walking into. At check-in, the agent did not inform us of a scheduled pool closure, nor that all amenities listed on the in-room TV were outdated or unavailable. Rooms were okay but the bathroom was cramped and the shower head does not move which makes showering difficult. There was no in-room dining, and the restaurant was only open for buffet breakfast ($15) and limited dinner service. For a week-long stay, having no reliable food and beverage options on property is a major inconvenience. Even on the weekend, no Bloody Mary's or mimosas--a surprising miss for a hotel. To make matters worse, we received a text asking how check-in went, but when we responded with concerns, no one followed up. If you're going to ask for feedback, you need to act on it. As someone who has worked with Hyatt, Starwood, and Marriott, I know what proper hospitality looks like--and this wasn't it. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend others consider alternative accommodations in the area.

Parking could also be better as it's not designed very well, and the main elevator is on the end of all the rooms, so if you have a high room number (in the 50s), you have a loooooong walk. Luckily, there's a back entrance with an elevator and better parking. It's not very roller-bag friendly though. I debated staying here again, but for the price, it just wasn't worth it to me compared to some of the newer hotels in the Mt. Pleasant/Racine area.

The staff was courteous and helpful and let us charge the electric car in the parking lot which was a huge plus. The room was clean, and although the pillows were too fluffy I slept very well. The breakfast was AWESOME and as usual I stuffed myself with the variety of food items offered and had a nice nap afterward, as we were allowed a late checkout. As I was coming in at 8 p.m. and leaving at 7 a.m. Fairfield was the least expensive out of any Marriott, so I booked it vs. the nicer looking Residence Inn and Courtyard in IL. I was a bit surprised that the exterior pictures don't match the hotel. This is actually two hotels combined into one ... it's not a Standalone Fairfield. It's an odd mix because the two hotels are very different and though connected by a hallway, one is modern and artsy ... and the Fairfield is your typical mildly sketchy looking cookie-cutter low end Marriott property. I was upgraded as an Elite member to a suite, upon asking. It was pretty big with a lot of open space ... but it felt a little creepy to be honest. It just seemed very dark inside and dreary and there were kind of bad vibes to it. It also smelled like a place where many parties happened and some cheap carpet deodorizer tried to hide that. The thing I hated the most was that the curtains had a very odd bright orange fall leaves print. Beyond the fact they looked cheap ... like a Temu shower curtain on all the windows, it was summer and the whole fall/autumn changing leaves thing didn't fit. Not sure why it bothered me so much but it helped create the bad vibe, along with the bright white florescent bulbs in the room, which is my biggest pet peeve. Bright white lights make it feel like the inside of a convenience store ... I much prefer warmer colored lights. I went to the bar at around 9 pm and it was probably one of the least friendly bar staff I had experienced. It took about 5 - 10 minutes before the single bartender came over to me, despite there only being 3 or 4 other people in the bar. I was informed they closed at 9:30 so no food was being served. I ordered a beer ... $8 for a local IPA ... and the bartender immediately cashed me out. My signal that I wouldn't be having another beer. The staff kind of huddled in a corner and joked amongst themselves with the bartender the whole time. It pained me to tip for that kind of service but I did, begrudgingly. Breakfast was okay. I don't expect big things from a Fairfield Marriott and this hotel came in right on the money there. Everything was average. The worst was the clearly powdered and reconstituted scrambled eggs, which was more like a mush. It was what I was expecting but I kind of hoped they'd surprise me by being better than the average Fairfield. The staff seemed nice. Plenty of parking. Things seemed kind of clean. The whole hotel probably wasn't that old but felt dated and blah. I'd have guessed it was built in the 1980's. The area around it is pretty much typical of most highway stop towns... fast food and strip malls. A really nice beach is a short 10 - 15 minute drive away. Overall ... I'm glad I was only here for a few hours. This place is one of those depressing, corporate one night stopovers. Very much what you'd expect from a $150 hotel under the Fairfield brand. Nothing wrong with it but I was happy to go.

All we wanted was the room I had booked weeks before that was guaranteed clean and welcoming. First Mr. Patel at the desk was impossible to understand and insisted that we go outside and take a separate entrance into the building for what purpose I didn't know until I saw paperwork he was beginning to fill out for a pet policy. As we had no animals with us, and he hadn't even asked, I told him we didn't have any animals. He looked at me doubtfully and I had to reassure him several time we didn't have any animals. He asked why we booked the pet room. I informed him that it was the only room between several hotels I had considered that had two queen beds so my guest and I could sleep comfortably and I got the last two rooms available. He finally put away the pet policy and told me we could access the room from inside the building then instead of having to go back out into the bad snowy weather. As we went down the hall we smelled marijuana throughout. Once we entered the room and looked at our beds, we saw so much animal hair and even pee on the mattress it was appalling. We marched to the front desk and reported the condition. The man working the desk, Mr. Patel, said he'd have to see the issues to believe them but I'd taken pictures and showed them to him. He said he couldn't give us a new room since that was the only one left. He got us new sheets but said there were no new pillowcases. I questioned him again thinking a hotel should have extras but he said there were none at all and the day staff didn't do the laundry. He offered to make up for the inconvenience by opening up the workout room and hot tub room, then he leered at my friend and I which made us very uncomfortable. We refused the offer then asked for a bandaid for a sore I had. He said there was a first aid kit in the guest laundry room. The sorry excuse for a first aid kit was a large broken Rubbermaid container stuffed with bandaids and other wraps and things anyone could just take off with. The hot tub in the room next door was gross, as it had dirty towels and candy wrappers on the floor next to it. On the way back to our room, there was a large ball of human hair that was never removed even after we saw housekeeping go through the next morning. We changed all our own bedding and couldn't use the pillows due to no clean pillowcases. As we stripped the mattresses, we found pee on one mattress and poop on the floor behind the other. We also found an empty candy wrapper behind the mattress. The sink was badly cracked and the refrigerator was dirty. The ice bucket and tray were also dirty. It was very hard to sleep at all since we were so uncomfortable. The next morning when my friend went to use the hand towel hanging from the bar next to the sink, she found snot and hair inside of it. We went to breakfast and found there was no syrup available and asked the lady on duty to refill it. Also all the yogurt in the fridge was 2 weeks past it's best by date!!! A young woman working that morning, A. K., was so apologetic about the shoddy service her cousin Mr. Patel gave the previous night in not providing us with clean pillowcases. She assured us there had been and still were plenty available he could've given us. She offered to take 10% off the next time we stay and I told her we would never be staying there again. I always take the little few shampoos and things they put out for guests to use. Not here. I leave them because I don't want any part of this hotel in my memory.
