Sunday the cleaning lady decided to go In and steal a bunch of our stuff. including a prescription medication bottle. when we confronted the manager , she said it was a miscommunication! excuse me! that's it! you allow your employee to steal from your guests and that's all you have to say! be care people!! lock up your belongings or take them with you!! read more

First time coming here. I needed a place to stay while I was in the area and I wanted to give this place a try. I was not disappointed! This place was gorgeous and had utensils, bowls, glasses, a beautiful layout and so much more! The one thing I was really dissatisfied with was the breakfast provided. When we first arrived, we thought the hotel was really nice. The lobby was clean, and the staff was pretty nice. The room we got was pretty clean. It was dusty on the shelves. You could see the outlines of things that had been set on the shelves. In the bathroom, there was water damage near the floor by the shower and there was also water damage on the ceiling in the room. Not the prettiest, but not a huge deal. The hotel claims to have quiet time after 10pm. That is kinda a joke. This could be because we ended up with a room near the steps. There were loud noises throughout the night. Some were loud enough to shake the beds. We did bring it up to the staff, who just brushed it off. The main reason for the low rating is housekeeping trying to come into the room when they shouldn't have. Around 10am (checkout is noon) on the day we checked out, someone quietly knocked on our door and said housekeeping do you need anything. I didn't realize what was happening at first since I was half asleep. They did it again, I figured if I ignored them, they would go away. Then I heard the door open and hit the door stop we had put on the night before. This got me out of bed right away. They again asked if we needed anything before checkout, and I told them no. This got them to leave at last. Having someone just unlock the door and try to come in had us shaken up so we just packed up and left as quickly as possible. I couldn't imagine how scary that would have been if I'd been alone in the room or if we hadn't put the door stop on and they got all the way in. We were not the only room they did this to. Again we did tell the front desk staff about this. We were told that was not policy and it should not happen. They did apologize and said they would talk to someone. The front desk person made it sound like someone would follow up with us, but we haven't heard a thing. I don't think I would stay at the hotel again after everything. It is clean and the beds were mostly comfortable. I just can't get over housekeeping thinking it was ok to just come into an occupied room. read more

I was gifted a stay here and I appreciate the location and the general appointment of the rooms. Stay were friendly and agreeable but I suspect they were short handed over recent days. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and after waiting some 20 minutes we were greeted by a running dishwasher and only two towels despite having 3 registered guests. Our room lacked some routine maintenance. We had a broken desk chair missing a wheel, a major resolved but unrepaired leak damage on the wall, baseboards falling down in the bathroom and a deadbolt lock that was misaligned and therefore inoperative. Desk staff politely promised repairs and additional towels but we got neither over the course of three days. Maintenance was to repair the lock but were unable to schedule until the day of our departure. We were offered a new room and assured that the digital lock and barrier would suffice. With less than a day to go we opted to stay put as most of our time was spent at relatives and our belongings were spread out in the suite. The breakfast was good as was the gym and other facilities. Just need to work on maintenance. read more

We had a great stay at this Home2 Suites made especially great due to the kind and thoughtful staff. From the check-in staff who helped us troubleshoot parking our electric car to the lovely kitchen staff who made sure we were satisfied and taken care of at breakfast, this was a great example of how excellent staff can really make the difference in an experience. The breakfast was plentiful, varied, and better than any other free breakfast. The beds and linens were soft and clean. The rooms were clean and well kept with fully stocked kitchens. Our only complaints were the WiFi but the cell service is so good in this area that it was a non issue for us. read more

Checked in last night and went into a room with missing sheets, missing pillow case and trash in the trash can. Second room after nicely bringing it up to the front desk got a second room. Went to the second room and the door was wide OPEN no cleaning seal so as far as we know anyone could've been walking in and out of that room all day, so I got BACK down stairs and notify the front desk and bring up the second issue and finally the third room they gave us was good to go, the front desk even went up stairs to go VERIFY it was good. Hotel charges 125 non refundable for a pet BTW and they still charged us for it even though none of the rooms we went into were cleaned properly or sterilized during a pandemic..... oh btw I'm not vaccinated yet. read more

If you are staying here with a pet BE AWARE ESA service animals are still $125/night non refundable. I just traveled across the country this is the only hotel first of all with a $125 pet fee for one night which is outrageous, EVERY other hotel (which by the way was nicer by the way and more comfortable) was $25 or less. When I questioned why the pet fee was so high the person working the front desk said "This is a new nice hotel so we charge more". Second of all, when I entered the hotel there was CLEARLY a man walking a prostitute out of the building. Oh, but this is a nice hotel, right? FYI. The booking site I used (hotels.com) doesn't specify that ESA animals are NOT exempt from this policy. read more

Parking lot lay out could be better, but the hotel overall is clean and comfy. The bed is super comfy with silky sheets. The room as are modern and clean, some dust but not dirty like most hotels. Pretty quiet with a boom here and there from god knows what. Love the layout of the room and free tea, coffee, fruity water and cookies in the lobby. I wish there was a hot tub then I could give them 5 stars. Overall not a bad place to stay for a week. The bed alone is worth it. read more

This is our second stay at this chain & we love it. This location is pretty new. The beds are very comfortable! only downside was that there was not a bathtub to bathe my toddler in. The pool was incredibly clean & at a perfect temperature. Their breakfast bat is amazing! The outside entertain areas are well maintained & cozy. There's a side with a huge fire pit (covered which is great for the kids protection) & on the other side is the 2 grill area. Snacks & drinks & such are very pricey so I would plan on stocking up your fridge. the kitchenette is perfect with the dishwasher, fridge & disposal. 5 stars all the way! read more

This hotel might say it is Pet Friendly but beware! I expected to pay a pet fee. I read the fine print "Pets are allowed on request. Charges may apply. " Having stayed at other hotels with a dog in the past I had reasonable expectations of the cost. And extra $25 is reasonable and expected, $50 would be high but OK, seemed like a nice hotel so maybe reasonable, however I was shocked when I told the hostess we had a small dog and I was told the pet fee was a massive $125. The pet fee cost more than the hotel room! She told me it was listed in the amenities. What was listed in the amenities was "Pets are allowed on request. Charges may apply." After paying the outrageous fee the niceties of the room paled in comparison. The room was nice enough and the hostess was nice enough but it was all soured by the outrageous pet fee. read more

I travel often for work, have been for years. I understand, probably better than most, that the unexpected can happen. Booking travel in advance always comes with some risks as most places have cancellation policies that are valid until about 48 hours prior to the trip, which is exactly the case in this scenario. But what if something happens in that 48-hour window? Well, this is where the discretion of local management comes into play. I fell ill the DAY of my business trip and was forced to cancel last minute. I contacted the hotel who advised me of the 48-hour policy. Understanding how this works, I asked to speak to the manager, Deon. Deon would not take my call and had the clerk do his dirty work for him. Ultimately, they refused to do anything. Instead of cancelling the room in understanding these types of things happen, he instead insisted I pay $167 for a room I was never going to stay in. This is absurd and should probably be illegal. How you can charge someone for services that aren't rendered is beyond me. A cancellation fee? Perhaps. But charging full price for a room that was going to sit idle anyhow is just ridiculous. Its putting profits before customers and honestly, I would terminate Deon in a second if I were his manager and caught wind of how he treats customers. Plus, after insisting, I was given his phone number and told to call him directly. I called, left a message, and never heard anything back. This guy is a joke. read more

We stayed for two nights for our visit to Cuyahoga National Park. This hotel had everything we were looking for -- location near the park, and also close to an array of places to choose from for dinner, an EV charger for our electric car and it's pet friendly -- and we traveled with our dog on this trip. The room/suite is very well appointed, comfy bed, great water pressure in the shower, perfect black out shade and room was quiet even though the hotel was well occupied. There was a lot to choose from at the breakfast bar and everything was very clean and covid compliant. My only complaint is the one-time $125 pet fee which I think is excessive as we were only there two nights (the fee is the same regardless of length of stay). Our dog is very well behaved and obedience trained -- no damage or accidents whatsoever. It seems to me the fee should be based on length of stay and perhaps a large portion of it should be refundable if there is no damage/accidents. I would have taken off a star for this fee -- but everything else was perfect, so five stars it is. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights with friends because we went to an event at the Blossom Music Center. Overall I was very disappointed with the stay. The room itself was decent, like any hotel room you would stay in. The staff was mediocre, front desk was helpful but the breakfast staff was almost nonexistent. Careful pulling into their parking lot if you drive a car, so steep that you need to take it at 2 MPH or you'll scrape your bumper. Breakfast itself was extremely disappointing. Day 1 there was hardly any oatmeal left and they refused to refill it because breakfast ended in the next 30 minutes. Day 2 they didn't even have oatmeal at all. Selections for breakfast were very slim and the options you did have, you had to microwave yourself. Waffles were good, but then again it was almost the only option for someone picky like me (something about microwaved eggs doesn't sound appetizing). The pool is what I am most upset about. We stayed here THREE weeks ago and my hair is still stiff, tangled, and dead feeling from the solution they used. I have always had smooth hair that practically brushed itself but for three weeks now I have had to spend on average 20 extra minutes a day to wash and condition my hair twice and brush it 2-3 times every day. I'm to the point where I'm about to cut 6 inches off because of how annoying it is to maintain and how painful it is to try to brush my hair. On top of that don't forget to take your jewelry off before you swim. Never had to worry about my ring or earrings but the pool turned my jewelry completely black. Thankfully I was able to scrub it off when I got home (only took an hour). SUPER annoyed overall with the stay, mainly the breakfast and pool. Would not recommend this hotel. I'd rather stay at any other chain hotel. read more
