When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to find all kinds of home decor and some furniture. I overheard the cashier speaking to a customer as I passed through the checkout area and found her to be so personable and kind to the customer. As I made my way to the back, I stepped into a warehouse-type setting. I was impressed. If there's one thing I learned while thrifting, it's: go to less desirable areas and you'll find less then desirable items, go to more upscale areas and you'll find better items. This was definitely the case here. I found quite a bit of beautiful finds. I saw large brown bags of baby clothes priced at $3 a bag. The bags were closed up so you couldn't see what was inside. It was only distinguishable by the words "Boy" or "Girl" baby clothes written on the bag. I had no use for baby clothes so I didn't purchase them but I would put them on my list as a top find in this place. Other honorable mentions were these beautiful padded kitchen stools -3 for $40, clothes - they had plenty of them and the bread maker I scored for $10. That was actually my only purchase. I spoke to a few employees there and they were extremely friendly. When I expressed concern over whether or not the bread maker worked, one of the employees told me they check all appliances in the back once they receive them and if it doesn't work, they don't put it out. So appreciated because most thrift stores don't do that. The store has a wall with plugs right by the appliances therefore, I plugged it up. I was able to confirm the bread maker did come on and the various settings did work. I would most certainly recommend this store to anyone looking for unique finds, vintage items and hidden gems. I will certainly return in the future.

A group of volunteers taking about 7 puppies on the NY Waterway feery to Midtown could only be…read moredescribed as animal abuse! Absolutely horrible, they were dragging these puppies, strangling them with the leashes, adding additional leashes to pull them harder. We were a group of 5 people and two of us have dogs. We approached them and said please stop pulling so hard. The woman incharge says this is how we train them not looking at us and walked away pulling her dogs leash even harder. This organization should be shut down! We all posted reviews on google and it seems they took them down within hours. If you know you are not abusing these animals why were the reviews removed? Everyone on the ferry were looking at this group in horror. The volunteers had zero training and should not be doing this and the organization does not know what they are doing if this is how they train and treat animals. There are several other reviews saying the same from multiole different occasions!

For this mission they deserve a SHOUT-OUT and to all those that contribute to the cause. The Headquarters in Morristown and the additional dog training center in Chester, N.J. train Seeing Dogs. They breed dogs and raise puppies, train dogs and instruct the blind in the proper use, handling and care of the animals. You can see part of their training with handlers in the square in Morristown. Advanced training takes place on the streets of Manhattan, as well. Those dogs that do not qualify as Seeing Eye Dogs go on to law enforcement, search and rescue or put up for adoption. There are few adoptions available due to the fact that those that raise the dogs are given preference for adoption.

Other than the higher end brands & jewelery, everything is $5. Except today was Half Off Day so I was ecstatic about that! I got a dress AND sweater for $5. Staff was so helpful and friendly! What i love most about this place is that a portion of sales goes back into the community. Whenever it's the local schools or to senior centers or families in need. So not only are we saving money & saving landfills but we're also helping out.

To preface, I have happily been to Consign Design several times to browse and purchase! Those…read moreexperiences have always been very pleasant, staff, always friendly and accommodating. I've joyfully purchased furs, boots, scarves... shall I go on? Lol Today, however, my experience was, at best, humiliating. Today, I came with a small bag of donations, a few gently worn items and some new "Chico's" dresses still with purchase tags. I had no idea there was a protocol to follow: 1. Make an appointment 2. Everything must be pressed and on hangers... I was only 'stopping-by" to to good deed... nothing more. The woman who greeted me, very curtly told me that I was supposed to have made an appointment. After the dressing down for no appointment, she said she'd see me. Then, giving my small bag the once over without opening it, told me she couldn't take anything, to take it back because everything had to be on hangers. She then opened the bag and showed me how very wrinkled my things were and launched into a dissertation about how there wasn't enough 'woman power' to press all the clothes. She said I could take my things elsewhere. I am so glad there were no other customers in the shop within earshot... I was mortified. I told the woman that I had no idea there were rules to follow, I was only doing a good deed. (Please note: I do understand that, as with anything, there need to be guidelines. Surely I would have complied had I known.) The woman then told me to leave the bag and she'd go through it, keep what she felt acceptable and 'donate' the rest. She thanked me and then, in a somewhat condescending tone, invited me to browse. I thanked her and said, "I don't think so.". I left feeling embarrassed and quite hurt. Shame on that woman... she should not be allowed to represent Consign Design! Her unkindness caused unnecessary hurt and humiliation ... and isn't that what Consign Design champions against? The dedicated and…read moreknowledgeable staff provide him with a day of stimulating activities, physical therapy, nutritious lunch and friendship. In the meantime I have the time I need for myself, knowing he's being very well cared for by happy people. Sage is located on Broad St. across from the Summit firehouse and near Overlook Hospital. I don't know how we would have managed without Sage and thankful to have such a wonderful resource close by.

Since there is nobody in the office, there is nobody for me to contact. All letters and emails have gone unanswered. They had the nerve to mail me recently to make a year end donation. I wrote and demanded that they remove my name from all mailing lists and cease to charge my credit card every month. Every month since June they have found a way to charge my credit card even though a Merchant block has been placed. Thankfully, American Express has handled the dispute every month and they have credited my account.

Recently purchased a new orthopedic bed for my dog, but my wife thought there wasn't enough room…read morefor my dog to stretch out. So I made another purchase for the orthopedic jumbo sized (this bed is huge). I called Chewy and told them of my situation needing to purchase a larger bed and return the XL orthopedic bed. They were so helpful with my return and empathetic to my dog's medical situation. I told them, it's already boxed up and ready to be shipped back, but they are so caring due to the fact they told me to donate it to the local shelter or humane society. I did some quick research on Yelp--of course-- and found the closest shelter was Eleventh Hour Rescue and their Roxbury location was just minutes away!! The lady (I believe her name was Ana), she was helpful and friendly as I told her why I was donating it. The transaction was very quick. It's always nice to give free donations to organizations that support neglected or abandoned animals. Donated a new dog bed and an open box pee pads (3/4 full). She was very appreciative of the donation.
