    I am writing to you with the hope this email will get to the upper management team of Rentinfo.ca…read more I want to share my very emotional yet amazing experience I had of late with Veronica Sharma. My sister lost her home due to an apartment fire in early August. On Saturday morning August 7th, I found a great basement suite on line for my sister and family as a potential place they could afford while there apartment building is rebuilt. They were told they would be out of their home for 18-24 months and all their belongings would be examined and anything that can be saved stored until they could re take possession. I am sure you can imagine how upsetting and emotional all this was and as a very close family I had to do all I could to find her a great place regardless of what it took. I began my search on that Saturday morning sitting in the hair salon chair and it started with reaching out to the 24/7 maintenance fellow. I fibbed to get him on the line and immediately apologized but explained the circumstances and that I needed to get hold of someone immediately so my sister and family could arrange to view the basement suite for possible rental. He was wonderful after listening to my story and said he would do what he could to connect me with someone right away, but could not promise it would work on a weekend. At the same time I emailed the general information team and they too got back to me with a phone number for Veronica Sharma who was looking after the property in question. Veronica was nothing short of an angel and went well above and beyond what she would normally do to not only get us a viewing but explain to the owners of the home we have to help these folks and the owners agreed immediately. I can tell you that within 24 hours we had an approval and within 48 hours my sister and her family were making arrangements to move in. Please help me to extend my thanks and gratitude to your organization and the exceptional folks you have working for you. If it was not for Veronica pulling out all the stops to help, my sister may still be homeless as others from the 84 unit fire still are. Thank you again for listening and please help me to pass this on to all those who need to read my letter of thanks.     I had a very disappointing experience with this property management company, particularly during my…read moremove-out process. I informed management well in advance that I needed to move out for work, and they began advertising my unit. On May 15, Jenny Chen advised me that a new tenant was scheduled to move in on June 15. I informed her that I would be vacating the unit on June 1 at 11:00 a.m., making the unit available well before the new tenant's move-in date. Despite having this information weeks in advance, I was incorrectly charged a full month's rent. On June 2, I discovered that the full rent amount of $1,710 had been withdrawn from my account, even though I should only have been responsible for the applicable period before the new tenant took possession. When I contacted Jenny Chen, my initial inquiries went unanswered. After I was finally able to reach her, she admitted that she had forgotten to notify the appropriate department to adjust the rent payment. What made the situation even more frustrating was that instead of focusing on resolving the error, Jenny questioned how I did not have extra money available in my account to cover the incorrect charge and proceeded to give me financial advice. How much money I have in my bank account is a private matter and completely irrelevant to the fact that the rent was charged incorrectly due to an administrative mistake. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. During my move-out inspection, the building manager informed me that my full damage deposit of $855 would be returned because there was no damage to the unit. However, when I received the refund, the amount was only $0.91. Receiving less than one dollar after being told I would receive the full deposit was both shocking and extremely concerning. To make matters worse, I received an email today indicating that I would be charged rent for the period of June 23 to July 18, despite the fact that I moved out on June 1 and no longer live at the property. It is extremely concerning that my account continues to show charges after my tenancy ended. Throughout this process, communication was poor, follow-up was lacking, and basic administrative responsibilities were not handled properly. Tenants should not have to repeatedly chase management for answers regarding rent charges, ongoing billing issues, or security deposit refunds. Based on my experience, this has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional property management experiences I have encountered. The repeated billing errors, lack of communication, and failure to properly manage my move-out have left me with little confidence in the company's management practices. I strongly encourage management to review its procedures and staff training to prevent other tenants from experiencing similar issues.

    I've had the misfortune of dealing with Refinity Homes since my landlord switched to them recently,…read moreand it has been nothing but a frustrating experience. First, they only accept rent payments via bank wire, forcing me to provide all my banking information just so they can automatically withdraw the rent. They tack on an 85-cent "EFT convenience fee" for this so-called service. Despite my concerns, I complied because, at the end of the day, I still have to pay rent. But the real nightmare began when my washing machine broke down at 9 p.m. one night, with all my bedding stuck inside. I immediately messaged Refinity Homes, only to receive a generic response saying they'd get back to me the next day. Well, that didn't happen until 1 p.m. the following day--16 hours later! When I finally got in touch, they admitted they had overlooked my urgent message. To make matters worse, the clog in the washing machine was caused by a zipper from a Polo jacket--a brand no one in my household wears. This clearly belonged to a previous tenant, yet Refinity Homes argued with me, saying it was difficult to prove. Despite the urgency and my attempts to resolve the issue quickly, I had to spend $338 out of my own pocket to get the washing machine fixed because I didn't have time to pull out the rental agreement and go through all the clauses. (Apparently, I have to call them more than 2X in order to "be qualified" for urgent situations) The entire experience has been beyond frustrating. Most importantly, as a management company, I felt totally neglected. I am extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend them to anyone.
