Very rude manager/owner and office staff, very disorganized service staff. Owner hung up on me several times and after I called back he said to me "we can do this all night." Then hung up again. Full review below: Called to get our washing machine repaired that we purchased from them. A lady in the office who was rude form the start stated they would call to set up a time for service. They never called, one morning a tech just showed up and called from our driveway. I watched and listened to him on our cameras complaining and talking/mumbling about how we weren't home. We were told they would call back to schedule another day. After a week they didn't call, so my wife called in and was instructed that they would call to schedule a day. They did the same thing again calling from our driveway. The service tech was frustrated/annoyed that we were unavailable when I talked to him on the phone. I called into the store and was told I had to speak with the service manager but he was away from his desk. 5 hours later he called back. His name was Gary, who is by far the rudest most unprofessional manager I have ever spoken to. After explaining my frustrations with this process now taking almost three weeks he started talking over top of me and down to me. He would not let me say a word and started to yell at me and then he hung up on me so I called him back and he said to me, "we can do this all night." Asked to speak with the owner and then he told me he was the owner and hung up. We purchased a Whirlpool dryer from Home Depot with the extended service protection plan. We had an issue with our dryer, called up Home Depot, and they issued out a claim with the service provider being Homemakers Villa. Part of the process was that Homemakers Villa was to call us back to coordinate times they would visit but we had not heard anything from them. My wife decided to call them and ask about the status and to get a better estimate of when they will come provide service because she wanted to get laundry done. What she faced was the most incompetent and rude people in all of the Fargo-Moorhead area. The service rep, Lisa, was getting after my wife because the order they received was not complete. She constantly berated my wife in telling her that everything is all wrong and that it was up to us to figure it out. I could hear the nastiness spewing out the speaker of my wife's phone and I had enough of it. At one point Lisa said to my wife, "it just says concession on this. What are we supposed to be consesshing?" Wow....just wow. I then spoke with the manager, Gary, who proceeded to tell me that it's not their job to qualify and validate their order and it was up to me and my wife to go back and get everything squared away. Mind you, they never told us what actually needed to happen. They were hostile and rude and straight up said that "big box stores screw up everything." I informed Gary that I will suggest Home Depot remove them from their service provider list and he said that is fine. Apparently they don't care about their clientele. They don't care about the work that they do. They don't care to do what is needed, let alone go an extra mile. How in the HELL would I EVER trust a company like that to perform any sort of service? In my 20+ years being in or around retail, I've never experience such a terrible experience. If you have to have services provided by this company, do yourself a favor. Call wherever issued the service provider and recommend someone else. Otherwise you are going to be dealing with a situation that is going to make you frustrated and angry. Our experience started off great, clear signage in their front door related to COVID 19 Protocol to shop in their showroom....a good thing. The sign said knock or call and the provided a number. I selected the knock option as I had made eye contact through the glass with an employee at the desk - when the employee came to the door the greeting was quite gruff with a list of C19 related questions - ok, keeping employees and customers safe is a priority, so no biggie. Though I'd recommend just providing the 'call us' option - it's clearly what is preferred. We entered the showroom and were directed to the appliances we indicated interest in. After a few minutes of browsing, a sales rep came over to assist us, which would normally be a good thing. Conversation ensued about the appliances, options, colors, etc. however, the sales rep had difficulty listening to and answering our questions about specific appliances. Just a constant repeat of the same few pieces of information.....which wasn't really helpful. Our questions were specific because of a uniquely shaped/sized kitchen and a desire to maximize space while updating appliances. After 20 or so minutes of asking questions and continually getting the sales agents opinions rather than an answer, we called it quits. While for some this might not warrant a rating of one, for me it did. If I'm going to spend a significant amount of money on appliances, please, just answer my questions or say you don't know (which is technically an answer). Hopefully a visit to the competing store down the street will prove to be a better experience. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The employees of Homemaker's Villa are extremely rude and condescending. I called them for help because my fridge was having issues with the temperature probe. The employee showed up unannounced, left garbage across the kitchen, and loudly explained the issue with patronizing superiority for a prolonged period of time. As a female college student, I felt unsafe in my own home and I plan to never call Homemaker's Villa again. read more

DO NOT USE THEM. Straight up crooks. I had them order a part for my oven and they quoted me $72.00 dollars. I found the exact part on amazon for $10.00. I called and confronted them and Gary the Service Manager refused to take it back. He is very unprofessional and I knew more about my appliance then he did. Stay away from these guys read more

Bought a brand new GE dryer that needed repair and was directed by Best Buy to Homemakers Villa. The repair man John came out after a 6 day wait and within 5 minutes told us that it needed a new control board. Just like that. He told us he would order a part and it will come in 7-10 days later. Twelve days later we are told the part may come in after another 10 days to 2 months. Nine days later we have a message from Gary at Homemaker Villa that perhaps the part might be here in another 3 weeks. By then it was time to stop working with Homemakers Villa and their rude flippant attitudes about an appliance that was vital for our Disabled American Veteran's needs. We were able to get the new Dryer replaced on our warranty after working with Best Buy's salesman Austen who was respectful, professional and proficient. One day after our new dryer was installed, I called Gary at Homemaker's Villa to report we no longer needed the part for the GE Dryer. Amazingly enough Homemaker's Villa had the part now and without notifying us would come to replace the control board of the GE dryer. We understand that parts for appliances could take some time to come in, however to suddenly have the part seems suspicious to us. It also is unnecessary to be rude or flippant when dealing with potential customers and issues important to them. We don't recommend using Homemakers Villa if you want professional and courteous service. read more

I would definitely not recommend this company. We ordered 8 appliances from them. They told us not to complete the warranty paperwork as we would just have them come out to service the appliances. Our microwave malfunctioned within the warranty period and a service technician came out and replaced a ruined metal plate without knowing why it malfunctioned. It again malfunctioned just outside the warranty period and then we had to buy a brand new microwave. Then something went wrong with our cooktop and my husband identified the parts needed and called and asked for a quote and told the technician he did not need to come out but the technician indicated he wanted to make sure he was getting the right parts. He gave us a quote for over $400.00 to fix it and my husband decided to do it himself because of the cost. He fixed it with less than $100.00 in parts and about 20-30 minutes of his time. We then received a bill for $120.00 and my husband texted the technician requesting an itemized accounting of the bill, which we never received. I received a call from the store in which they said the bill was 78 days old. I informed them we were waiting for an itemized accounting. He said the cost was a minimum service call. I told him we did not want him to come out and he argued with me that if we did not want him to come out he would not have come. He also suggested that had we not received the itemized bill we asked for we should have called them - I have wasted enough of my time and money. The person I spoke with was rude.
