Washing machine broke in July, Kevin came to look at it and said he would order part. Communication went silent and his VM claimed there was a family situation and no call backs would be made til November. Waited til November and apparently he was then taking calls again. Left numerous VM's and text messages and we were totally ignored. I would not do business again with Homer's Appliance due to the lack of communication and bad business practice. I almost didn't contact Homers Appliance Service after reading the terrible reviews on Yelp(Yelp should really screen their reviews, perhaps requiring proof of service such as receipts), but since they were highly recommended to me by a friend I figured I would give them a chance. I am sure glad I did! I called and left a message and my call was returned by Kevin about an hour later. We scheduled a time for him to come and look at my washing machine a few days later. Kevin arrived on time and determined the problem quickly. Since I needed a part that that had to be ordered, he told me that he would contact me once the part came in. He did so in a timely manner and we scheduled a time for him to return to my home in a few days to fix my washing machine. Upon his arrival, he repaired the machine and tested it with me to be sure that it was functioning properly. It was. Kevin was professional, knowledgeable and efficient, and I found the cost of his time very reasonable. I had to same experience with Kevin, my oven stopped working. He came looked at it, said it would cost $400.00 to replace the board. Thought about buying a new stove, which I should have. Replaced the mother board, oven still did not work. Called him back & he said he would come over & replace the thermostat which never happened. Oven only works on Convection, but doesn't really work properly. Called him numerous times & never received a call back. Have to get a new stove. I would give him a big fat Zero. read more

Kevin installed a new fan in our Kenmore refrigerator, didn't work, came back and put in a new computer board. When this didn't solve the problem I called, and called, left desperate messages and absolutely no reply. I had a houseful of guests so had no choice but to head to Loew's for a new refrigerator. So we are out for the cost of the repair and for a new refrigerator. One star is too many. read more

BIG FAT ZERO RATING! We went to Homer because we had used him in the past. This time it was two weeks get the parts, another two - three weeks before he/helper showed up to fix our washer. Only to fry the electrical system in the washer. He then left with no offer to repair or anything, leaving us with a dead washer and having to buy a new one. We have not heard from him since until today when my husband saw him at local business. He went to talk to Homer but Homer took off for his truck and sped out of the parking lot. Needless to say this has only infuriated us more. No offers to fix, reimburse, or apologize = No Business. read more
