Came and delivered oil after I asked for them not to. Then they said it was my problem and gave me a lowball offer for $.10 off per gallon. So they want me to pay for something I didn't ask for on an $1100 bill now $900. Seems backwards. They acknowledged they received my email not to fill with plenty of notice and ignored it. This company seems pretty shady and now they also enrolled me into a finance program without discussing anything with me for the following year on top of the $900 bill. Just transferred service to another company and when the tank was disconnected the service man stated there was 17% left in the tank. Well to make this story short. White Mountain denied there was any propane left in the tank. Either their liars or the gentlemen that grabbed the tank stole the propane. Either way I would NOT recommend this company. I was the first to review white mountain 6 years ago and unfortunately their service and business has done a 180. On all fronts they make it impossible to work with them and act like a monopoly. If you're shopping for services, stay away, they make promises then never deliver. It's sad to see a local business who used to have good service go completely for downhill. read more

The person who delivers our propane is probably one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. On numerous occasions he has been extremely rude to both me and my wife. We have a contract with this company unfortunately but will be switching to another provider as soon as it is up. read more

I live just a couple of streets away from WM Propane, so I went there in April 2023 to switch over to them instead of staying with Eastern, since the WM rate is also much better. I am a renter, so they had my landlady (who lives 2 hours away) and I go through many hoops in order to get the paperwork done. My landlady complained that she never had this experience with Propane companies before, and I felt embarassed to be bothering her. Then Mike from WM came in May to inspect my tank and informed me that I would need to have them extend the piping in order to be up to code and that it would cost a couple hundred dollars. I told him I would wait to do this until September, as I wouldn't be using as much Propane during the summer anyway. September comes, I call WM and they tell me I am not in the system. I explained that I had told Mike I would call again in September to start the installation process. The woman on the phone was rude and said, "that's not how this works, we don't hold onto applications for months". I went there in person and complained about the situation, luckily someone there did hold onto my application, otherwise I would have had to bother my landlady anew with all this nonsense. She then said someone would be in touch with me to get it all installed. No one called, and by this month, December 2023, I got down to 30% level, and managed to set up an installation appointment (again after being transferred to many people on the phone), and Mike said he would call back to confirm the appointment, but never did. I went in person last week to see if the appointment was actually in the system, and it was for 8:00 this morning. Today was my only day off, I have waited months for this installation, and I was looking forward to finally getting this taken care of. By 9:30 this morning, no one showed up, so I called, was transferred, put on hold for a long time, and finally Mike gets on the line and says the technician is sick and he just found this out. Overall, since April 2023, I have experienced nothing but unprofessionalism and a huge lack of respect for me as a potential customer. Obviously, WM doesn't want my business, so I will stay with Eastern. read more

With White Mountain, I have now had two service calls (one for the install and one to hook up a propane generator, and Scott and crew did a great job. Delivery was seamless and the driver very nice (but I didn't get his name). Mike Elliott was the salesman and Jeff Cathbert got my account started. We woke up to no heat on Tuesday!We called White Mountain Oil and within 20 minutes we got a call back with the wonderful news that the technician was on his way! The technicians at White Mountain Oil are always cordial and professional! We ended up needing new circulators and while the technician was here he did our Spring cleaning! We have been loyal customers of White Mountain Oil for over 18 years! Plus, they have the BEST grilled bratwurst at their annual customer appreciation day! Bought and had installed a Heat & Glo CFL-20 gas log fireplace insert for my 36in. Franklin. I DC'd their propane service as they were consistently overpriced in relation to everyone else in the area. Just called this am to have the actuator device that starts the fire place to be replaced and they refused. They can charge me a grand for the insert but unless I buy their overpriced propane they will not service the product they installed. Great customer service guys!! You could not put an ad on the front page of the Conway Daily Sun disparaging yourself and get as much bad publicity as screwing a local who knows a lot of people and recount this to all his friends. Its a long story but for accuracy Id like to include all I can...They claim to have the cheapest prices but dont Irving is cheaper and do cater to those that have less than perfect credit. First off I am a handicapped and disabled person on public assistance. I had a problem with my furnace making noises. I had someone look at it and thye told me it was a bad blower the bearings were worn out causing squealing. I sprayed them and it seized up from the dust going into the housing and bearing. I called fuel assistance to have their guy look at it. He concluded the same and said I should replace the blower. FW Webb would not sell him the blower cause he was not a lic. HVAC tech. I put the assembly together and installed it and low and behold short of a bad smell from the lubricant sprayed it was quiet. I did not want to take a gamble with a house fire. I called fuel assistance again and explained what I had done. I explained I was concerned about leaving the unit on and leaving for any persiod of time that I would like to have it checked out. They told me to call me vendors (white mountain propane) and that a service call would be covered in this case. Well they refused to pay the service call despite the fact they initially were going to pay for a blower unit, I put it together myself and repaired it but was not a lic. hvac,. Now come the threatening calls from Thelma in billing at WMP. We are coming to take your propane bottle and will bill you a restocking fee for the gas left in it. A month later we are coming to take the bottle if you dont pay us. We will credit you for the remaining gas. I played a game with her and said oh I have a bad connection I cant hear you. She said is that so. I got another call two minutes later and let it ring through to voice mail. This established that a) she broke the law as far as collections go. The law stating that you can only make one collection call per day. She made two and b) they WMP has no regard for the law leaving a handicapped individual without cooking gas or heat for their home. probably broke the law again. The propane was paid for but because they had a balance they felt they could bully me and take their bottle and leave me with out fuel . Last week they showed up with the police and proceeded to take the bottle. I have accounts set up with another vendor but they werent ready to deliver. I called in a payment and they left the bottle. IS THIS THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED? FIRST OFF ITS A CIVIL MATTER AND WE AS CONSUMERS HAVE RIGHTS. THEY TOTALLY BYPASSED ANY RIGHT AND USED THREATS OF TAKING WHAT I OWNED AND USED THE POLICE TO BACK THEM.... THE POLICE ,KNOWING THEY WERE WRONG SAID THATS WHY WE HAVE A COURT SYSTEM).... DONT USE THEM THEY DID NOT TREAT ME FAIR AT ALL.... THE GAS WAS PAID FOR IT WOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THEM ANY LOSS TO LEAVE THE BOTTLE UNTIL IT WAS EMPTY BUT VIOLATED MY RIGHTS TO FORCE A PAYMENT OUT OF ME ILLEGALLY AND USED THE POLICE TO GET THEIR WAY.... read more

We have been and continue to be very pleased with their outstanding service and commitment to us. Several years ago, we had a major issue with our older furnace. As retired senior citizens who live and volunteer in the Valley year around, we were concerned about the reliability of our heating system. Their maintenance team was relentless in finding the source of the problem and replacing the bad component, keeping us fully appraised on their progress. The furnace has worked perfectly since then.
