There is an obstruction in my sewer line. I just recently had it scoped while I purchased the new…read morehome. I had Mr. Ruder come out to clear the lines for $300 scoping plus drain sneaking. The tech was not able to provide the service and offered an approach that cost in $15,000. I went to Home Depot and rent it out the exact same auger that the tech used and cleared the line myself. I would not trust this company. I feel like they're out to get your money.

I'm writing regarding the recent sewer line work performed at our property in Colorado Springs,…read moresupervised by Zach Croley with Mr Rooter. The overall process quickly became problematic, costly, poorly managed, and they sell you on 'scare' tactics with no honesty. After removing a toilet for a camera inspection revealed a blockage possibly caused by a branch, we were quoted $7,800 for replacement. Under pressure and uneducated in the world of plumbing, we agreed to a "discounted" $6,800 rate and immediate start. The crew immediately dug about 15 feet down to access the pipe to replace, hitting our underground electric AND the well water line. This could have been avoided with proper utility flagging and communication, which was never done, and is illegal come to find out! Compounding the issue, we later learned from a second opinion (Dan's Drains & Diggs) that the same job could have been done using a trenchless liner system with zero landscaping damage. That company also identified a missed cleanout and septic access point, that Mr Rooter completely overlooked - there was no need to remove a toilet in the 1st place and could have unclogged the drain using this access point. What's more concerning is that Zach initially said our remaining line to the house looked fine, only to later push a $4,500 CIPP lining add-on for just 4 more feet--raising the total to over $11,000. No evidence of old 'Orangeburg' pipe was shown to us, and we now question whether that additional replacement was even necessary, or actually, any of the work! We had to bring in our own well company to properly repair the water and electrical lines they damaged! Our yard, railroad ties, underground electrical cord, and landscaping retaining wall has been left in need of major damage with quotes over 10k to repair, creating water drainage / flooding issues, at our expense. The tree next to the retaining wall now has root damage, and might have to be removed too. I will report them to the BBB and any other entities for their shoddy services. PLEASE do your homework and read these 1 star reviews before you are soon writing your own 1 star review. And watch how they reply to my review (they might say 'We don't recognize your name in our system'..or 'We cannot find your address in our system'..WOW...how can I make this up?? So sad we have such con artists within our own community here in Colorado Springs that are still in business. Check out Trustpilot - Mr Rooter has 2 stars across the USA with a 'Poor' rating

I initially spoke to Richard on the phone and he was extremely helpful. He promised that Cory would be out within 2-3 hours that same afternoon and apologized he couldn't get here sooner. They truly stand behind their work and want it to be done right. They guarantee it. Cory is an extremely polite, friendly young man and was absolutely fantastic demonstrating care for our property throughout completion of the job. He remained intent on seeing the job through to both his satisfaction and ours. I was really worried about calling a drain cleaning service with which I was unfamiliar. So I called my HVAC service provider. I am so thankful for the recommendation I received from Berniece at High Altitude Heating and Air (HAHA). See my review for HAHA. They're fantastic as well and I trusted her referral. I'm glad I did!!

They've not been very good about cleaning out our drains. My wife began working to get this fixed and couldn't find a plumber who could come out that day until she reached Superior Drain and Jetting Service. The technician assured my wife and I, that he could fix the problem. He came out and told me that he would do as little damage to my wall as possible. I made it clear I don't care what he has to pull out, I want it done right as the home is less than a year old. He proceed to do the work by putting a rubber No Hub around the pipe to cover the hole. He told me this would guarantee to fix it and even wrote on the paper he guaranteed it for life. In addition, he charged me $225 for the work and the only part he used was a $10 piece of rubber from Home Depot. The following Monday, we then had the service team come in, remove remaining sheet rock, insulation and spray with a hospital disinfectant to get the home ready for repair. Right before the service team left, my wife noticed a drip...drip...drip. The service tech confirmed the pipe was leaking again from the back side, mind you the hole was in the front. I called Superior Drain and Jetting back and told them the problem. The technician first said he would be out at noon, then he changed it to 3:00 pm. I convinced him that he guaranteed me this WOULD not leak and it didn't last for 72 hours. He tried to say the service tech doing the cleaning must have loosened the brackets and my wife assured him that didn't happen as she watched the entire process that day. I asked the technician how he was going to fix it this time and he told me he went from telling me was going to get some epoxy glue to a silicon based patch and the he would put the No Hub over again. I called three plumbers in the Colorado Springs area and ran this guy's ideas for repair by them as I have NO plumbing experience. All three said what he is doing "might" work, but they all three told me if you want it to last, the section with the whole has to be cut out and connected on both ends. I told Superior Drain to not even come out as I don't trust their work and told them I want my money back. Another company came out within 2 hours, repaired it the way it should have been done from the start, and they only charged me $150, $75 less than Superior Drain. They even commented about what the previous guy was trying to do. Superior Drain and Jetting Service is refusing to give me my money back now because they are saying I didn't give them a chance to repair it. Bottom line is if you want your toilet unclogged, Superior Drain and Jetting Service can get it unclogged but they do not know how to do standard plumbing repair. I feel the company should have made us aware if this was out of their league from the start and I can't justify why they charged me so much for so little that they did.
