All the guy did was tell me the furnace worked, the flame looked good, and it was going to the right heat. I could have told him that, what was the point? The cleaning was even more of a sham. All the guy did was run a wet wipe over the top of the furnace and hot water heater. What an absolute joke. The entire time, the guy was trying to sell us a "pull and clean" service to pull the fan and clean it separately. I'm just thinking, if what you're doing is a joke why on earth would I pay you to do more? The service was supposed to include a replacement of the furnace air filter, but the guy tried to leave without providing a filter. I got him to provide one before I paid, but he was not nice about it. The worst part was that the guy charged $149 at the end. Not the $49 that the company offered when I signed up. Thankfully I found a voicemail clearly stating $49, so I contacted Basset and got them to refund me the $100 overcharge, which they sent via check a few weeks later. Suffice it to say, I won't use Basset again.

When you place a service call plan to spend at least 10 minutes on the phone with an AI representative taking all your information. And it seems like they've got it all and then you get an actual representative calling you back and that's another 10 minutes. Then they tell you that they don't even service your unit anymore. It's another company in Colorado Springs that handles it so you have to call that company. If my unit was over five years old, I could see where this would be fairly normal but for that much money, I would think it could work fairly well being only two years old. The use of an AI agent is very frustrating, especially when you have to repeat all of the information to a live agent all over again. When I called the other company, they don't have 24/7 agents I had to leave a voicemail. It was 8:30pm at the other company called back thank God. I ordered this HVAC through Costco. I don't think I'm going to order serviced or products from them again. The only reason they couldn't fix it on the first visit was because I have an older heating system. Parts aren't readily available. They even offered to bring me space heaters until the parts came in. I called another company but they threw parts at it and couldn't figure it out. I should have called Calibrating Air first. I had a company have to replace my old A/C because a siding company damaged it and because its old (25years) they couldn't find repair parts. So, they replaced my A/C. I called them first because I thought it would be a warranty repair. Nope! Calibrating Air will forever be my first call from here on out. They should be yours too! You won't regret it.
