Nicest beach for family and friends or just you and doggie like me...! Plenty of parking space, great bar restaurant on the beach!

Great spot for a picnic, there is more of that than anything (unless you have a boat and are going for the marina). Pretty big green space that invites you to just sit and eat. The 'beach' is really like a lake, but you do have some sand to give the beach feeling. Didn't hear the live music when we went but people were playing their own from speakers. Was expecting a bit more, but not a bad place to spend an afternoon. read more

A beautiful park and beach with lots of palm trees throughout. There's a restaurant/bar right in front of the beach to hang out at as well. The beach water is fairly shallow and calm, great for people with kids. There's a couple of lifeguards watching everything very closely; they used their megaphone several times to tell people to not do what they were doing. The sand is nice and fine, and it's very clean. There's a bar here which sells all kinds of drinks, including their famous pineapple drink. Parking is only $7 for the day and located close to the beach and restaurant. Restrooms are beside the restaurant, and they were very clean. read more

I came here today with my husband. We had a very pleasant couple of hours there. They have three cute lifeguard huts (all painted in pastel colours just like Miami beach). The park is very clean, with an atoll pool with a mini beach around. I saw several families and also people fishing. Also located there are benches and tables suitable to have a picnic. they also have huge permanent umbrella that belong to the park situated around the beach area, which is really nice, for additional shade. They also have an eating place (toilets are there) a volleyball area and a marina. A very nice tranquil spot. It is the same principle as The Matheson Hammock park. Although Matheson Hammock park is nicer imo, but this is definitely worthy of a trip if you are around this area.. read more

After having been coopped up for months bcuz of covid, it was nice to discover this little place so close to my house. Worth a nice view, cool breeze, tasty drinks and good food. Since this is outdoors, these next few months are the perfect time to come here. They also have live music. It's an Ali around good time. read more

I really enjoy this Marina. I think it's a lot better than black point and the restroom is a lot cleaner. Also they have fresh water stations so you good wash down your boat, trailer, and your gear.Good place for families and enjoying the outdoors. read more

Moved to homestead to be closer to the water and boat ramps and now I am further away than ever before. What used to be a welcoming family paradise has turned into chaos and disappointments. There is not a sunny weekend when you are not greeted at the entrance by a sign that says "Boat Ramp Closed" and police and rangers literary sending you back home because "every marina in the area is closed" and not only the sign, but they also have the audacity to ask you "how's your day going?". Well, My day was going very well until I arrived here, that's what I have been telling them every time we attempt to use this marina. So a family day that was supposed to be filled with excitement and fun turns into a disaster, long faces, crying babies, smelly bait and a cooler of melted ice is all we take with us. As I am parked here looking at this disorganized chaos and desperate for a miracle to happen I decided to write this review to vent out on something that has been happening for a while now. We pay taxes for these public places, in fact taxes keep raising annually and to be able to use public facilities like this one has become close to impossible. So after hours of waiting under the sun they let us in and we find that half of the trailer parking spaces are empty which leads us to think that the problem is not that they are full but that they are probably understaffed and the ones here don't want to work. read more

If I could give this place half a star I would. They had these huge metal umbrellas things that were on stone pads to help protect you from the sun & it was ripped & torn & no effort to get it fixed. It looked like it had been that way for a while. There was a few other places to sit or you had to have your beach chair or towel which is fine but you could barely swim in the water. The smell was so horrid & there was so much stagnant gross water that there was only a tiny part you could swim in which wasn't even that clean either. I would suggest not wasting your time to pack up all the beach gear & the kids to go here where you could drive to a nicer beach that didn't have stagnant gross smelling water. You are not allowed to use any type of floaty at this beach either. The bathrooms are semi clean but not the best. There is a restaurant on site which is nice if you didn't bring food or snacks. Nothing to rave about though, stand bar/beach food. Tons of picnic tables underneath the high standing building that was the restaurant to sit in the shade to eat but didn't smell great in that area either. It seemed like the main hang out for people to go & smoke. It seemed to be a great place for fishing as there was a ton of people going out facing the ocean side instead of the atoll to fish. Not sure if they caught anything but it looked like a popular spot for that. You think having the atoll for swimming would be a great idea because it would be nice & calm but instead it just brings gross stagnant water to sit there. read more

Been here several times. Probably the best beach south of Miami and the last beach worth any thing farther to the south in the keys. More of a family beach, very clean. Ambiance is semi-quiet with not too many kids, never been too crowded. The lagoon that surrounds the beach protects it from waves and rip currents. Water can be clear. You can keep an eye on the kids on the entire beach. This beach is operated under Miami-Dade Park and is open sunrise to sunset. Amenities: Shelters are available for reservation or just bring your chairs for a picnic. Kayak over from Biscayne National Park (ten minute paddle) and avoid parking fee (heck swim if you can water is shallow) Watch out for: This is South Florida so watch your belongings. I am down here for work and found this place over the weekend. I must say it was a lovely, relaxing place to hang out and the restaurant is amazing also !! I've been coming to this park for over 20 years. They've cleaned it up real nice and even built a building and added more bathrooms, space available for rental for parties or what have you and a nice restaurant with a nice view of the ocean. They have their own private beach, a marina, a small store for things like ice, soda, chips, etc., they have spaces around the beach or the big tiki hut available for party rentals to. We use to come here and have bbq's with the family and picnics with friends and of course fishing. This park really has alot to do. Next time i must bring my bike so I can really enjoy the park fully. We came here for their once a year classic car event and man was I impressed. Now I must be honest and say I didn't know anything about classic cars at first, but then I met My Love (we were teenagers) and he grew up around classics and now I have a new found love for them. I really appreciate the body work and structure and the beautiful interior and colors. I fell in love with an old Chevy truck that had a matte finish, never seen that before. It was so clean and pretty, I can so see myself driving that bad boy. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, mosquitos still hiding, and the breeze was just right. There was an awesome band for entertainment, a bounce house for the kids, an ice cream truck, vendors selling jewelry (the silver was beautiful and he let me know it came straight from Peru) plants, cool looking recycled can wind chimes and they even had a first aid stand just in case someone slipped or something. There was also bbq and roasted corn for sale. It was also great day to be with your family and loved ones. We really enjoyed just walking around and taking pics, enjoying the music and enjoying the cold drinks. This park is just such a nice spot to relax and to enjoy the outdoors. Ridiculously expensive parking for a place that doesn't really offer anything. The "man made beach" is just a small little pool, and there's maybe one bar that people can go to. All I did was walk around the park for about 10 minutes and left (after paying $7 in parking). Drive a little further down and go to the Keys instead, or visit Biscayne National Park instead which is right next to Homestead Bayfront. read more

The place is absolutely horrible, the "beach" is dirty and the water isn't even clean, they are strict about everything and they are not sanitary, they also don't even allow you to take dogs, if I could give the rating a -5 I definitely would. read more

In my opinion there's nothing better than being out on the water with my family on a beautiful day. That said, getting there can sometimes be a challenge. For those that have braved the circus that is black point, I offer up this southern gem. Bayfront Marina is a bit out-of-the-way but well worth the extra drive. The ramps are ample, well paved and the docks are in great condition. Parking is sufficient and easy to pull in and out of, far better than black point. This marina may not be as nice as Matheson hammock, but it is very nice nevertheless. The channel is a bit long but it is wide and well marked. The ride out to Elliot key is pretty straightforward as is the trek to Caesar's Creek. Monday through Thursday ramp fees are $11 and Friday through Sunday it increases to $16. We like to get there early and beat the crowd. Even at its busiest this place is never as crazy as black point. The gas station has bait and offers a boat US discount on fuel. Give this place a try you might never go back to Blackpoint again except to eat at the ocean grill :) read more

I went here, park is very small probably a 1.5 miles around, relaxing to bathe and spend time with family. It has pavilion available and restaurant that offer good lunch. park mobile I paid $7.00 for the day. read more

Great spot for launching the boat, a picnic, a little shore fishing, or a stroll with the kids. Theyre re-doing the whole beach area right now, so that should be awesome for next summer. There are 10 launch points and an easy slope associated with it. plenty of parking on most days for trucks and trailers, but dont plan on finding anything on major weekends if you dont get there plenty early. The concessions stand has bait, emergency oil and tackle, plus drinks snacks and ice. Marine fuel prices are average, but USBOAT members get discounts. Its just a short hop across the bay to Ceasar's Creek and the lower Keys, so this is a favorite spot for me. You can spend 175 bucks for a yearly pass providing parking and launch fees at all M-D boat ramps up into Miami proper, which pays for itself after 7 or 8 trips. read more

This is where I come to lunch my boat whether I am fishing or going to Elliot Key. From here Elliot and other keys are a short distance. I recently found out they have a shuttle to Elliot and Kayak rentals. This area around the marina is nice. You will see alot of aquatic wild life if kayaking around. We had a wonderful afternoon at this park. A great family place. White sanded beach area and volleyball, picnic tables galore, clean restrooms, BBQ, fishing, marina with bait & tackle shop, security and cafeteria like restaurant. We enjoyed a dinner picnic by the water with an amazing breeze and gorgeous view. Great place to walk for exercise and possibly bike ride , although we didn't follow a trail we saw(not sure how far it went) The lagoon like beach was closed when we arrived around 5:30pm on Sunday. Not sure why it was closed. But, it's still a great place to hang out and relax with the family while the kids run around. read more

I have been in this marina for 3 years, the staff is very diligent and great, the Yacht neighbors are the best. I just purchase a house with a dock for my boat and I will miss the good times in this marina. Thanks guys, I'll come visit once in a while. My Toy too. read more
