Have had nothing but issues with this company. Meals are shipped thru Fed X and arrive damaged and this company makes it difficult to get replacement meals. They furnish a menu to pick meals from, but will regularly send a box of all the same meal, no variety. Switching back to Moms meals better customer service and you get the meals you choose. read more

19 meals were shipped out to me before asking if I have a special diet. I wasn't even completely enrolled in the program. I told them to cancel my "order" and my membership. Shipment could not be stopped. Received the meals, micro-waved biscuit / gravy with egg. instructions said remove bread, micro-wave for 2 minutes, stir, cook 30 second intervals until done. No instructions about the bread. I cooked the whole meal together for 3 min + 3 min. Biscuit was ok, gravy watery yuk, egg was grainy and size of a quarter. threw meal away! Stouffers dinners are same size or bigger, $3-$4 each vs these $10 meals. 19 Homestyle Direct meals is equal to 47 to 63 Stouffers meals that taste good! $10 for these dinners is a total rip-off!! Homestyle Direct is just another company trying to get Medicaid money without providing a service of value!!! Don't let someone you care about eat this crap!! read more

They didn't deliver to my door,as they were supposed to.My meals were a little melted 3 times in a row&today they were entirely melted.Today I had to throw out the whole order.I called to complain each time,but problem was never fixed.When I called they didn't seem to care much. read more

I am very grateful for what you do. Do not post this public ally because this is my feedback. I love the Turkey tri pad if you could use much less spicy hot, like the red pepper seeds. A teaspoon of those to 50 servings instead of to one serving would be better and we could continue ordering it as one of our choices. Just remember, most of us are over aged and can't handle hot mouth foods. Another thing, I order more than one Jimmy Dean egg, ham and cheese but never get all I order of them and getting tired of cheeseburger substitutes. My very favorite meal was the potatoes nacho dinner. So sad it isn't on the next season like it was last summer. Hopefully you can add that back before long. Never stop making the macaroni and cheese and chicken Parmesan dinners. We love those. The Baked meatball dinner is great. We just add shredded and dried Parmesan cheese to it. Soo good. I kept wondering why my husband was burning his meals until I realized he was not taking his brownie out before heating. Now he never burns it. Lol. It took forever to get that smell out of our house. Our mistake. He's a man, what do we expect.? I love the way you put bacon and cheese on the potatoes that comes with the JD sandwich. I guess that was Jimmy Dean that made it that way. Some of our lesser favorites are the Chinese ones that needs improving, like the teriyaki. It is nasty. I don't care for the orange chicken one either, Not one orange. You might try using white rice instead of the brown. More orange sauce with oranges. I have never had a problem with their quality of food or their ability to handle any situations that occur with delivery issues. Homestyle Direct, hands down you're running a scam, peddling the most disgusting frozen meals I've ever encountered, and you've got the audacity to charge $9 to 10.95 for a measly 200 to 300 grams of pure misery! Your Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Rice is a stench champion, reeking like it was dredged from a sewer. The nr.12 Chicken Tenderloin Dinner Looks like vomit and smells even worse, hitting you with a rancid blast before it's even out of the package. The # 25 Creamy Garlic Shrimp A pathetic excuse for food that smells like chemical waste. And your chicken Alfredo? don't get me , the stench intensifies, seeping into my skin, hair, and soul. Half a bite in, I'm gagging as the smell oozes out of my pores, sticking around for 72 hours no matter what--three showers a day plus a sunken bath, 12 showers, and baths combined in the last three days, besides other fluids, have chugged in 3 gallons of water in the last three days hoping to flush it out, and I still feel like I swam in your toxic slop. I cook these dishes at home with fresh ingredients, and they're nothing like this garbage. It's gotta be your sketchy preservatives, cheap-ass plastic packaging, or whatever godforsaken freezing process you use--probably dunking it in a vat of regret. I reached out, and you ignored me, proving you know your product's trash. $9.95 for this? You should be paying people to endure this torture, not charging them! If I can give it zero stars I would. My husband just started getting them. He was getting a different company but, decided to switch. Well,when we got home from picking up our son at school,he food was here. We were gone less then an hour out. We got the box inside to the house. Before we opened it it smelled bad. Food was no good. All meals had to be out in the garbage. It was thawed,soggy,warm,cut opened,not able to eat. He called then,twice,the first person told him we can't help you. He called back,and was told,well we can't help it. One we didn't know it only comes twice a month. His old company that he used came weekly with their own drives and freezer trucks. You don't get any powed milk in case of emergency like his old company does. He also got told that they don't know when they ship them on on Fed ex,and then it sits on the des ex truck. This is not a good way to get new customers. And yes,he call his insurance company since they pay for it not to pay for that order. I would NOT recommend them at all. read more

Food is delicious if you can get them to deliver your order. Workers are not knowledgeable of their own procedures and policies. Cannot explain what a referral is. Will deliver first order, call and get next order then stop with NO WARNING, EXPLANATION OR NOTIFICATION even if they have all your information, insurance authorization, and caseworker information. Will literally let you starve to death. No corporate contact available, no one to explain why you cannot get food you need for basic survial. read more

Listen, I live in Los Angeles. I eat fancy stuff like kombucha and sushi from the trendiest spots in LA. I live on the beach and drive a Prius while I sip my ridiculously expensive latte. My uncle had this service until he passed away. I never tried it until he passed, I didn't want to steal his meals. Tried them. Omg. Best frozen meals in the world! Even the bread stays fresh. The meals don't meet the cost charged at all. Every menu item contains at least half of the meal with just green peas, chopped carrots and chopped potatoes. Very little "meat", which is low quality anyhow. No sauce (except water) in the Chicken Alfredo. Definitely is "processed" tasteless food. So disappointing, as the idea is great. read more

Most of the food is tasty... but FAR TOO many carrots and peas! The packaging does not always tell what's inside.... for instance the macaroni and cheese have more peas and onions then macaroni and cheese..YUK! Also it's better to take it out of the package and microwave on a microwave plate... and to thaw overnight in the refrigerator. read more
