So they charged me $265 for a one hour rushed job where I had to go back and vacuum myself. They also left my bathroom floor streaky so I had to go back and mop again. So, they sent a young lady named Diana who didn't speak any English at all, only Spanish. We used Google Translate, but it really doesn't help communicate complex instructions or certain expressions very well. Any professional translators reading this review should breathe a sigh of relief, because I really don't think AI translators will ever replace a live human translator! But I digress. Diana came quite a few times, and I was happy with her work. She was cheerful, and patient, and did a thorough job. Sadly, one day she pulled a no-show, and didn't call me or Freshify. Alex with Freshify was very apologetic. I didn't blame the service at all; these things happen. I took the opportunity to discuss the language barrier, and requested that whoever they send next be fluent in English. The cleaner they sent, Cleo, wasn't as good as Diana, and spoke next to no English. Her housekeeping was acceptable, though. I spoke to Alex again, and they gave me a credit to account for that. The last time they sent two cleaners, who spoke almost no English. Streaks were left on glass table tops and shower glass. The bathrooms weren't cleaned very well, and one toilet wasn't cleaned at all. There was a ring of mold that appeared a few days later, and it takes a couple of weeks for that to happen. Things in general weren't cleaned very well, and I suspect it might be because they couldn't ask me questions. Freshify Cleans charges above average, so I expect above average cleaning - each and every time. I try not to be picky, and if I could clean my own house, I would. Unfortunately, I physically cannot, so I have to rely on others. I have decided to hire someone myself without relying on a service. It is much cheaper, and I am very happy with the person's work.

Crews arrive within a one-hour window with no ETA update, which is difficult when you have pets that need to be put away. Messages to managers and the owner, Marissa, regularly went unanswered. The crew constantly changes. Because there's no consistent team, the quality of cleaning is inconsistent - areas that get attention one visit are missed the next. Billing transparency is a problem. My most recent invoice was about $50 higher than my usual rate because I'd skipped a prior biweekly service (my regular crew wasn't available that week). No one mentioned the surcharge in advance - the invoice arrived after the cleaning was complete, and I had to reach out to ask why. That should be communicated up front. My biggest concern is how the owner, Marissa, handles problems. When a crew member has caused minor damage to a wall or appliance, her default is to route it through her insurance rather than address it directly with her team. I wasn't looking for a claim - I was asking for a constructive conversation with the crew so it wouldn't happen again. That's a basic expectation of any service business. She showed up with her team on time and finished cleaning in a very timely manner. After a quick walk through, I made two requests, and they were done, no questions asked. After seeing the work they did, I scheduled my next cleaning from them. I'm so excited to have found such a good service. Bottom Line: I've already scheduled regular cleaning from M&M!
