Been going to this place since it was Kellogg dental this place is a joke has gone downhill nothing but corporate greed. Cleanings have been paid for twice a year by insurance have not changed insurance or jobs and now all of a sudden I'm getting bills for things they're not covering or saying I had done when not and when my insurance is not changed. They definitely make up stuff to get money out of the customer now the front staff acts like they know everything and are never wrong. New doctors come and go. I could only imagine why. You'll never get the same one also it's OK for them to call you same day and cancel on you multiple times with mo repercussions but if I call to reschedule on the same day and reschedule they have to charge me for it good luck ever getting that money from me and when I call them out for it, they don't give a crap. Will be taking my whole family else elsewhere. I'm glad they lost five people we will never be back. Eventually this place will be another name being bought out again. BEWARE. read more

My family and I have been coming here since 2015. We love the staff, they make you feel like family. I had Dr. Al-Hammadi fill a cavity yesterday and could not be more pleased with the results. She is a perfectionist when it comes to making teeth feel "right". She's patient, kind and extremely capable. Im 58 and only 2 cavities yet they tried to tell me I needed 3 crowns, a night guard AND whitening .. they make up cavities that aren't really cavities as someone else said. I came in for a cleaning and was there 2.5 hours being " sold" . Big time scammers to generate commissions. Ridiculous and now explains the HUGE multimillion dollar building they have. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. I got in for a chipped tooth right when I called. During my appointment, staff was extremely unprofessional. When they were fixing my tooth, the dentist was asking the assistant questions on how to do things, which equipment to use and how to use it.. right in front of me!! It got to the point where I had to ask my dentist if it was her first day. The chip was very small and came out less than 2 weeks after being fixed. They even said I may need a veneer for a tiny chip. I got a second opinion after my tooth chipped again at another dentist and they said there is no way I needed a veneer and that is way too invasive for such a small chip. AWFUL!!!!!!!!! Have only had a few cavities in my life but they convinced me I had cavities and that one was bad and needed a crown. They put a crown on a tooth that actually didn't need a crown. Crown was never right, went in several times to get it fixed. It finally fell apart. They would not repair the crown because the dentist that did it no longer worked there. Totally scammers!!! Where do I start. I never look forward to going to the dentist in the past my dentist have been laid back, clean my teeth and tell me all looks good. Now I have three kids and I never been so overwhelmed going to this dentist and nearly ready to cry when I leave. My anxiety always increases when I leave this place. I want to like it; the office looks like a living room in a 6000 square feet home. It is gorgeous, comfortable, relax. Coffee bar, leather couches, tables, and a big tree house with a slide. They give my kids tokens for prizes, t-shirt, a back pack and toothbrush package. Wow. Then they clean your teeth and its nothing but money after money after money. As I am getting my teeth clean the hygienist informs me about my son teeth has no cavity but he will need braces to make that appointment. Now that cost is in my head which just increased my blood pressure. A little later, my hygienist informs me a cavity that was just filled needs to refilled, plus I need two crowns. I will do the financial on that. Which came out to $1500. Yikes. Then my other son had three cavities; he is five. That financial was $500. No compassion no understanding these are teeth; it is cosmetic crap that is not needed. Add up the amount for just teeth for my three boys and me. That price could go up in six months if they find more cavities and more needed crowns. Just absolutely terrible professional service. Prices are too high and I never had a cavity for over 40 years. Why do I need so much work on my teeth now? I am taking my kids to another dentist. This place is the worst. They are all about the look (vanity). I'm about practicality of paying for it all. Yes they give you a financial plan but you still have to pay thousands of dollars; whether it's now or spread out in a year. Makes no difference. This cost can increase as cavities and other dental work is found and you better believe they will find what's wrong. read more

This place totally scammed me. I got sucked in by a new patient special offering a visa gift card (which I never even got btw). I had never really had cavities in my adult life and was diligent about getting my teeth cleaned 2x/year. I go to Kellogg and they tell me I need 3 fillings. So I coughed up the $600. I come back for my next cleaning and they again tell me I have 3 new cavities in need of filling. I thought this was weird so I made an appointment with my old dentist for an exam. They said my teeth were fine. Makes me wonder if I even needed the 3 cavities I paid for. This is unethical and Kellogg dental should be ashamed to scam people like this. read more

Who likes the dentist? Not this girl. Unfortunately, I have spent a lot of time here during the last year fixing my teeth post-pregnancy with cavities, crowns and more. It has not been a fun experience, however, the staff here has made it feel not-so-awful. I definitely recommend Dr. Kellogg for anyone who is afraid of the dentist. He's called the "gentle dentist" for a reason! My lesson learned? Don't drink pop, never miss your every 6-month cleanings, and always brush at least twice a day ;) read more

Don't go here. I had a few fillings done and every one had to be redone at least once and some as many as 3 times in a year. Then I found out they were billing my insurance company when they said they wouldn't and so when I went to go somewhere else my insurance now won't even cover a cleaning until next year. After hearing a lot of different things about this practice I finally was able to go with my cousin to her appointment. I am not a patient here, but I did see how they push patients into getting teeth done using fear and sales. They clearly practice how to make the sale more than they practice taking care of their patients or listening to their patients, the doctors not the staff.. My cousin and her kids have been patients here for 8 years, I pointed out how pushy they were and she admitted to always having a bad feeling. she loves what they do with her teeth, but they've pressured her into spending thousands of dollars after she says she doesn't have the money. She is too nice and scared to stand up for herself and Dr. Kellogg is very intimidating/aggresive to older people and women. They did not listen to a thing she was saying. She usually leaves crying but refuses to speak up. Very upsettting, wish I would have gone with her 8 years ago so she didn't have to take out personal loans and max 3 credit cards. Same vibe as a used car lot, and I used to be a used car salesman so I know one when I see one. This is a tertible office!! From the people that do your billing all the way through to the people that do your fillings. Just to start you better watch your billing at this office. They defianetly try to double bill you, and then say it was a mistake and they wouldnt have charged you for it. Then I didnt know anything about dental work or terminology untill i worked with this office, at every turn they try to cheat you. I literally sat here for hours looking up dental terminology because my bill was wrong. Not only that when i first came in i expressed that i was there because they had a 99 dollar whitening special which turned into an argument cause they said no but the lady when i called said yes, anyway eventually they honored the whitening after i had to do the teeth mold things again, but thats another story. They did the fillings before the whitening which i later found out is not common dental practice. So the fillings will never match my teeth. When i got the whitening it was the lowest concentration of bleech they use for whitening. One of my fillings is great! One has fallen out and one is my very front tooth that has a big white stripe down the front because my dentist made a mistake and isnt willing to fix it. The filling that fell out when they were initially put in it wasnt smooth, I had allready been there twice to have them smooth it out. The second time they did they scraped it with this big scary tool. It was traumatic. And I was allready scared of the dentist. Good luck if you choose to go here! read more

Shady people! I would strongly suggest getting a second opinion (if you choose to go to Kellogg in the first place). I have heard of dentists taking advantage of patients and saying they have cavities or needed work done that wasn't needed at all, but never thought I'd be sitting in the chair of an office like that myself. Very shady business they are running in my opinion and I won't be returning or handing out their stack of referral cards they gave me. I called as a new patient and was excited to hear about their new patient special. "Healthy smile cleaning for $89" this included 90 minutes of X-rays and a cleaning. I was so impressed by how nice and organized the receptionist was and thought for sure I found my new dentist office. I came early and filled out paperwork. The office was very clean and all of the people who worked there were very friendly. My hygienist was personable and I felt comfortable. Once the X-rays began I started noticing that she was taking her time and telling me all kinds of stories about her life and was sitting there chatting away. Before I knew it, the 90 minutes was up and I hadn't received a cleaning. When she said we were all set I questioned about the cleaning and she told me I didn't have a healthy smile so therefore I couldn't get a cleaning. "You have beautiful teeth she said" but I was at the early stages of gum disease and it would take too long to clean so unfortunately it couldn't be done. I needed to come back for gum therapy which is $1500. Please be aware when you go that they milk the 90 minutes and it is very misleading. I've never not been able to have a cleaning and although I knew I had been overdue I feel like they should have at least done what they could with a cleaning or been upfront in the beginning. Not a fan of how they operate! They took my daughter back, did x-rays and fillings before finalizing insurance paperwork and I had to pay out of pocket over $1100 because of their error!!!. I was very displeased for having to pay over $1100 out of pocket for their billing error for work that was "already done". My family will not be going back there! read more

This place is all for money, they told me I had 2 cavities when in reality I had none. They also are extremely rude, and talk to you like you are not educated at all. I never have had problems with my teeth ever, and never even felt pain in my mouth where they said the cavities were. I knew something was suspicious so I ended up going to another dentist. Went in, they said i had 8 cavities. Scare tacticed me into getting some done right then and there. Afterwards, I got 2 other opinions, neither agreed with Kellogg, and both agreed I probably didn't have cavities in the ones inlet Kellogg do. This dentist is a joke. Never, ever will I go there again and you shouldn't either. I was warned not to go there and I didn't listen. I simply went for a cleaning which was a huge mistake. There was absolutely NO customer service, they took a bunch of pics of my teeth that I told them my insurance wouldn't cover and then they charged me for them. They never returned my phone calls, they were rude, and I could go on and on but I won't. There are a lot of other dentists out there you can go see. Don't go to this one. Also, they get high ratings on the People Choice program because the staff votes over and over. Everything about them is underhanded. read more

So I went back to get a filling and crown put on and everything went wrong here. What follows is borderline malpractice I would almost say. What was supposed to be a routine job turned into a near ambulance ride to the ER. The hygienist put some oragel base and then administered a numbing shot into my jawline. When she withdrew the needle..I could feel the numbing agent seeping down my throat and could instantly feel a strange sensation so I asked for a water rinse. I sat there for a little while and all of a sudden felt like I couldn't swallow...what I gather is that the numbing agent from my shot shut down my gag reflexes. So there is was feeling like I couldn't breathe and having a panic attack. They asked me if I wanted an O2 mask and then some laughing gas to calm me down. I'm pretty sure I would have choked if I had let them do that while I couldn't swallow and was choking on my saliva as it was. This place looks nice and they are friendly but, not professional in their work. I should habe stayed with my original dentist and not tried for something closer. Live and learn. read more

My fiance had contacted Kellogg dental to get me set up for an appointment. She stated to them that I was experiencing pain in my front tooth and it felt loose. She asked if they accepted BCBS and she was told yes however they didn't state yes but we are out of network providers. Once in the office they told me I needed scaling and rooting done (Deep cleaning). They started on the one quarter of my upper teeth and collected $224 at that visit. I called later that day after letting my fiance know how much it was going to cost to find out if they were out of network and sure enough they were. I stated to them that i'm not okay with not knowing that and i would not be coming back. I also said I would not be coming back and I hope to not receive a statement from them. The services weren't covered by my insurance company, I contact the office and spoke to a manager who told me I wouldn't owe anything when it came back from the insurance because at the time of my visit I paid $224 and that should cover it and she wouldn't be surprised if I actually received a credit from the office. Two weeks passed and I had to contact an in network dental office because now my tooth was hurting more and becoming more loss. Before I could even get to the dentist office (scheduled my appointment on Friday for the following Monday) I had to go to Urgent Care for an abscess tooth to be put on antibiotics. My new dentist had to do a root canal and a crown on my damaged tooth that KELLOGG stated was just hurting because of needed the scaling and rooting done. My new dentist informed me that a deep cleaning was not needed at all. I would not recommend KELLOGG DENTAL to anyone it was the worse experience I've ever had at an office. Unfortunately I still owe them money because my insurance didn't cover and the amount paid at my visit didn't cover all the way. I contacted Kellogg regarding my balance and was told by the front office staff that i should have come in to talk to the dentist about the bill. However you would have thought they would of passed my message along to the dentist and I would have been contacted however I was not. I'm going to contact our local news stations to let them in on this story and contact the better business bureau. read more

Dr. Kellogg's Staff were warm and friendly from the moment we walked in the door. My daughter instantly felt comfortable. They filled her filling with no pain and were very encouraging and comforting the whole time. They give the kid's great prizes and treat the parents very well. I went in a few weeks ago to get my teeth checked and cleaned. I had a great experience, especially for the fact I have anxiety. I was told I needed alot of work done, which I was expecting. My problem is the receptionist who was supposed to send me an email of all the "phases" of my dental work to be done. First, she blew me off and never emailed me back after she assured me not to worry and she would, then when I called her almost 2 weeks later she finally emailed me. Then, since I'm young I shared with my mother the "phases" to get help with paying for it. Then, my mother even emailed her asking if there was cash discounts and what not and she blew her off! Totally unprofessional! Sucks because I liked the dentist and assistant, but like hell I want that lady handling any of my billing, she can't even return an email! You can disrespect me but not my mother. I'll take my business somewhere else! read more

I sat in that dentist chair for 3 1/2 hours just getting x-rays. Okay I was a new client, I had a advertisement for Kellogg Dental (29.98 for x-rays and a $50 gift card for new clients), I made my appointment, They were a little late getting me in, I read 3 magazines. Finally I was taken to the chair. I had my x-rays and went over my history and health care. The hygienist was nice. I told her I had a tooth ache under my bridge and was hoping to take care of it today. After being in the chair for THREE hours, the dentist finally came in. I asked him if he could fix the tooth today. He examined the -x-rays and said that I needed a root canal and a new bridge. He also said that I needed to have three other crowns put on the upper teeth because they were filled and probably would fail soon. ( I just had these teeth fixed last year ) He shook my had and said " nice to meet you. So after 3 1/2 hours the financial girl came in with an estimate for nearly $5000.00. I asked if we could get that price down. Her eyes just about popped out of her head. She said no --- only a 5% discount for full payment. I went to the desk to check out, I paid my $29.98 for the x-rays, and asked for the Visa gift card of $50.00. Oh she said. We are out. I'll get your address and mail it to you. I'll be surprised if it comes. I couldn't get a follow up appointment for the root canal until a week later. So much for patient care. Why I couldn't get the root canal during the 3 1/2 hours is beyond me. I called Kellogg dental when I got home to see if they accepted Care 500 insurance. I couldn't get a straight answer. I have never been to a dentist that use untrained tech's. After 25 attempts to take X-rays, she called in another tech. My mouth felt like it had cuts all over under my tongue and the roof of my mouth. The rooms are wide open and they talk about your medical history where everyone in the rooms can hear. (No privacy at all) after waiting 2 weeks in pain. They told me they could not pull my tooth because it was after 2 pm. Why didn't they tell me they don't pull teeth after 2 when I called to set the app. I told the person on the phone that it will need to be pulled and a partial made.They were more worried about giving me a 4300 quote for a partial. My wife had the same number of teeth partial for 1800. Shop around or you will pay an arm and a leg for dental work. That's if they will do it. They let me leave in pain, knowing I am out of town during the week. I have never been to a dentist that would let a patient leave being in so much pain. There was more then one dentist in the office but they would not pull my tooth. The office is full of big teddy bears and all kinds of marketing stuff. I know how they can afford all this stuff.. I moved from another state where we had a wonderful dentist. Imagine my suprise when coming here I am immediately told I need all sorts of expensive dental work asap....(my dentist in KS never told me this and he was excelent). They are pushy - always calling to push things, dental work...mouth guards and get sassy when you want to wait.. I STILL have trouble chewing on my L side from work done there and it took about 7 times of grinding down first my crown and then other teeth to try to get it right. When I had a heart attack and had to reschedule due to being in the hopital - they were ok about it but when I had to reschedule a 2nd time due to my heart again the woman said they were going to charge me because I was 'non-compliant' in having to change my appt twice....Sorry Dr. Kellog if my heart attack was inconvienient for you....(I told the woman this). I went in for a routine check up. The doctor stated I needed some old fillings replaced. Fine. I scheduled to have it done. I came in, paid before service, was seated and the doctor started with the fillings. I knew something was wrong when the doctor's hand started shaking and I could see stress on the dentists face. At that point a little red light went off in my head. The fillings were completed and I went up front to check out. The lady then said I owed $60.??? I had already paid. How come an hour later I owe another $60 when there was no extra treatment completed? They then said, "oh we will just bill the insurance company and let you know" aka...we will just send you the bill later so we don't have to explain our mistake. I went home and two of the fillings started to throb. Fine, I understand there was a lot of drilling and it takes time for the nerve to calm down. Except the pain never got better. It just got worse. It finally was so bad I had a second dentist look at it. He took an xray and said of course it hurts (and there is now an infection), the dentist drilled right into the nerve. There was no way that filling was going to work. It was now infected and norco and aspirin didn't touch the pain. Ended up with a root canal, core and crown. Second tooth still is very sensitive to everything and I can't eat on the right side of my mouth. (it has now been 9 months) After all of this they tell me later (via collection agency, more to come about that) that I now owe $179.75. This is after paying $300 and change already before the appointment. I talked to whoever is in charge of billing and they said that they didn't pre D my insurance like the girl at the front desk said she did (apparently she used the wrong term). They just guessed how much I would owe based on how much my insurance has paid out from other people's claims. I spoke to my friend that is an office manager at a dental office and she said this practice is common however, in this case it sounds like the office hadn't updated their information for a long time (negligence on their part) and that would explain the big difference in amount. THEN, they sent my bill to collections! After I received the collection notice I called them and they said they tried to send me a bill but the address was wrong. (they had the wrong zip code and could have easily googled Brighton zip codes.) They also claimed they called me ONCE and left a message which could be true. I may have accidentally deleted it. But really? ONE phone call and no attempt to figure out a local zip code? Every aspect from treatment to billing was so poorly handled. I am amazed they get such high scores. I also know a dental assistant in the area and she warned me they were a "dental mill" but I didn't listen. I am so angry at them and myself right now. This could have all been avoided if I would have just gone somewhere else. read more
